Abstract

Numerical critical thinking capacity is one of capacities that is supposed to be grow ideally for students. Nonetheless, numerical critical thinking capacity of understudies in eighth grade at MTsM Saning Bakar is still low. One of the learning approach that can take care of this issue is Probelm Based Learning approach.The points of this exploration isto know whether numerical critical thinking capacity of understudies who concentrate by Probelm Based Learning  approach is superior to customary learning in eighth grade at MTsM Saning Bakar. The sort of this exploration was semi eksperiment with static grup plan. The examples of this exploration was the understudies at class VIII.B and class VIII.C. The aftereffect of the exploration show that numerical critical thinking capacity of understudies who concentrate by Issue Based Learning approach is superior to customary learning.Keywords—conventional learning,mathematical problem solving ability of students,  Probelm Based Learning  approach

Abstract

Interactive learning multimedia is a supporting tool in the learning process that is able to activate students to learn with high motivation because of their interest in multimedia systems that present text, image, video, audio and animation displays so that they are more interesting and help visualize topics that are still abstract. The purpose of this research is to develop an interactive learning multimedia for material  of circles that was valid and practical. The type of research used is development research using the Plomp model which consists of a preliminary research stage and a prototype-making stage. The preliminary research phase includes needs analysis, student analysis, curriculum analysis and concept analysis. The prototype stage is the interactive learning multimedia design stage consisting of 1st prototype, 2nd prototype, 3rd prototype, and 4th prototype  which are evaluated using a formative evaluation design. The results of this study indicate that the interactive learning multimedia produced is valid and practical. Keywords – Geometry, Interactive learning multimedia, Plomp, Van hiele theory

Abstract

Having mathematical communication ability is one of the purposes of mathematical learning. In fact, a 7th-grade student at SMPN 33 Padang is still low. In addition to the lack of interest the learners have in learning. It takes effort to address this problem, one way to apply the cooperative learning type Think Pair Square in the study. The purpose of this study to know and describe the impact of application of this model shows the capability of mathematical communication grade VII SMPN 33 Padang. A pra-experimental of one shot case study. Selection of subject class with a purposive sampling technique by defined class VII.1 as a subject class. The result of the test of the subject's class mathematical communication capability after the application of this model is categorized well. Where the average mathematical communication capability of the subject's class learners is 68,39 and a deviation standard of 15,46. Keywords — Mathematical communication ability, Think Pair Square, One Shot Case Stuudy

Abstract

The success of a learner in understanding concepts of learning is typically determined by the learning results they achieve. Despite the high final term value assessment of mathematics class X SMAN 2 Sutera 2020/2021, the school is still concerned about the low level of student achievement. One manner to address the problem is to use the realistic mathematical learning module of the mathematical learning process. This study is aimed at documenting the outcomes of students who learned mathematics through realistic educational modules at SMAN 2 Sutera. The type of research being conducted is a pre-experiment designed for the one shot case study. The student is a member of the 2020/2021 class at the X science SMA N 2 Sutera. The instrument used is a mathematical check that may be defined in terms of matter of description, and the data is analyzed by the test sample t. Analysis of the data shows that H0 is rejected is can be concluded that an e-learning module based on realistic mathematical education affect the results that learn with a facts-based learning module are batter than those of prveious learning. Keywords: E-modul, Realistic Math Education, Results from Studying Mathematics

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMPN 1 X Koto Singkarak which aims to develop a valid and practical learning videos based on a contextual teaching learning approach on number pattern used as a learning media to attract student’s attention and help their learning process to be more active. The development of these video uses Plomp Model which has three stages, namely Preliminary research, prototyping phase and assessment phase. Formative evaluation is carried out on learning videos that are developed to become better products.  From the result of the development of this learning video obtained a validity value 85.10 % with a very valid category, the value of practicality based on student’s resposes in 86.45 % with a very practical category and the value of practicality based on teacher’s respond in 81,25% with practical category. Base on this, the learning video based on the contextual teaching learning approach that has been developed is valid and practical. Keywords — Learning Media, Learning Video, Contextual Teaching Learning Approach

Abstract

Technology based teaching materials are supporting the learning process in the current digital era, because they help students build their mathematical understanding actively and independently. This study aims to develop teaching materials based on Flipped Learning on differential materials for class XI SMA/MA that are valid and practical. This type of research is development, with the Plomp model consisting of the initial research phase and the development or prototyping phase. The initial research stage includes needs analysis, student analysis, curriculum analysis and concept analysis. The development or prototyping phase is the stage for designing teaching materials. In Prototype 1, a self-evaluation was carried out. In Protoype 2, expert reviews were conducted to test the validity of teaching materials. In Prototype 3, a one-to-one evaluation was conducted by testing teaching materials to three students with different abilities. In Prototype 4, a small group evaluation was conducted for nine students. Small group evaluation is carried out to determine the practicality of teaching materials. The results showed that Flipped Learning-based teaching materials for differential materials had a level of validity in the very valid category, the level of practicality in the practical category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the teaching materials produced are valid and practical. Keywords __ Teaching materials, Flipped Learning, Plomp, Differential

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discribe whether applying the Student Teams Achievement Division type of cooperative learning model can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is   a quantitative descriptive research using a pre-experimental design. The research design used is a one shot case study with the research subjects being class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang in 2021/2022. Data collection in this study consisted of five quizzes and a final test consisting of eight essay questions. The data analysis technique is analyzing the quiz scores at each meeting and analyzing the final test scores. The percentage of completeness of the quiz scores and the average quiz scores of students for the five meetings increased at each meeting. The average mathematical concept understanding test for all indicators is 84.15 with very good criteria. Keywords – Cooperative Learning, STAD, Understanding of Mathematical Concept

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is very important for students to be able to make decisions or solution in solving various problems in the mathematical context. The purpose of the study was to describe the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students mathematical reasoning abilities better than students mathematical reasoning of students who learn by using  direct learning  and describe the development of mathematical reasoning abilities of student who study with the Discovery Learning model. The type of research is quasy-experiment and descriptive with a Randomized Control Group Only Design. The research instrument is a test of mathematical reasoning abilities. From the data analysis it was concluded that students' mathematical reasoning abilities that applied the Discovery Learning model were better than the students' mathematical reasoning abilities who applied direct learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Ranah Pesisir. there was an increase in students' mathematical reasoning abilities while learning to apply the Discovery Learning model. Abstract

This research aims to develop valid and practical student worksheet based on discovery learning model on the straight line equations. This is because the worksheets used in the learning process have not allowed students to participate in finding concepts or principles to build knowledge actively. This research uses the Plomp development model. There are three phases: the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. Data collection methods are interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data from interviews and observations were analyzed using descriptive techniques. Questionnaire data were analyzed through descriptive statistics. The research results we received were valid and practical worksheets for students. Judging from the presentation aspect, content aspect, discovery learning model, display aspect, and linguistic aspect, the percentage value of the LKPD validity of 83,21% is included in the valid category. Worksheets are also practical because they are easy for students to use. The LKPD practicality ratio of 88,05% is included in the very practical category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the LKPD developed can be used for mathematics education in schools. Keywords – Student Worksheet, Discovery Learning, Straight Line Equations, Plomp
