JITMPTP diterbitkan dalam Bahasa Indonesia dengan abstrak dalam Bahasa Inggris Jurnal PJITMPT memuat hasil penelitian dosen, mahasiswa dan khalayak umum tentang manajemen operasi penangkapan ikan, oseanografi perikanan tangkap, daerah penangkapan ikan, sistem dan manajemen perikanan tangkap, rancang bangun dan hidrodinamika alat tangkap ikan, rancang bangun dan hidrodinamika kapal perikanan, biologi perikanan tangkap, dan pengelolaan perikanan tangkap dan sosial ekonomi perikanan tangkap. Artikel ditulis dalam Bahasa Indonesia atau Bahasa Inggris. Artikel belum pernah diterbitkan pada media manapun atau tidak sedang dikirim untuk dipublikasikan ke media lain.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving the quality of small-scale fisheries can be achieved by increasing the selectivity of fishing gear. An assessment of the effect of mesh size on gillnet fishing gear on Kogholofano Island, Muna Regency is a form of the effort in question. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out 1) Comparison of the composition of the types of catch from basic gill nets with 2 inch and 2.5 inch eye nets in the waters of Kohgolofano Island. 2) Comparison of the dominant sizes of fish caught in basic gill nets with nets measuring 2 inches and 2.5 inches in the waters of Kohgolifano Island. 3) The difference in the weight of catches from basic gill nets with nets measuring 2 inches and 2.5 inches in the waters of Kohgolofano Island. This research was carried out 15 times during one month, namely March 2023 in the waters of Kogholifano Island. The analysis used is species composition analysis, fish size composition analysis, differences in catch weight and statistical tests using the t test. The composition of the catch during the research was selar, male mackerel, kurisi, gulama, jackfruit seed fish and lencam, dominated by male mackerel and green selar fish. However, the results of the t test showed that the weight of the catch from the two eye-sized nets was not significantly different from the catch. Keywords: Influence, Mesh size, Catch, Bottom Gill nets ABSTRAK Penigkatan kualitas perikanan skala kecil dapat ditempuh dengan peningkatan selektivitas alat penangkapan ikan. Pengkajian terhadap pengaruh ukuran mata jaring pada alat tangkap jaring insang di Pulau Kogholofano Kabupeten Muna merupakan bentuk upaya yang dimaksud. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Perbandingan komposisi jenis hasil tangkapan jaring insang dasar dengan jaring ukuran mata 2 inchi dan 2,5 inchi di perairan Pulau Kohgolofano. 2) Perbandingan ukuran ikan yang dominan tertangkap pada jaring insang dasar dengan jaring ukuran mata 2 inchi dan 2,5 inchi di perairan Pulau Kohgolifano. 3) Perbedaan bobot hasil tangkapan jaring insang dasar dengan jaring ukuran mata 2 inchi dan 2,5 inchi di perairan Pulau Kohgolofano. Penelitian ini di lakukan 15 kali trip selama satu bulan yaitu bulan maret 2023 di perairan Pulau Kogholifano. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analilas komposisi jenis, analisis komposisi ukuran ikan, perbedaan bobot hasil tangkapan dan uji statistik menggumakan uji t . Komposisi hasil tangkapan selama penelitian adalah selar, kembung lelaki, kurisi, gulama, ikan biji nangka dan lencam, didomiasi oleh ikan kembung lelaki dan ikan selar hijau. Namun begitu, hasil uji t menunjukkan bobot hasil tangkapan kedua jaring ukuran mata tidak berbeda nyata terhadap hasil tangkapan. Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of flying fish longline fishing gear needs to be based on a study of the construction design. The purpose of this research is to determine the purpose of fishing gear design by fishermen as well as the design and construction of flying fish longlines operated by fishermen in Wakatobi waters. The research was carried out in June 2021 in Mola Bahari Village, South Wangi-wangi District, Wakatobi Regency, South east Sulawesi. The research results show that the aim of designing flying fish longlines in Wakatobi waters is for flying fish that live on the surface in a less dense schooling. Then flying fish long lines are designed to stretch across the surface of the water as wide as the school of flying fish. The bait color and shape are adjusted to the natural food of flying fish and the size of the hook is adjusted to the opening of the flying fish's mouth. The design of the flying fish longline operated in Wakatobi waters consists of a main line, branch line, and buoy line with PVF material numbered 4 to 5. Hooks numbered 18 to 19, silk thread bait and a sign float made from a plastic bottle. The total weight of fishing gear ranges from 0.534 kg to 1.244 kg. The total buoyancy of fishing gear is 31.3 kgf to 31.9 kgf, much higher than the total sinking force which ranges from 0.2 kgf to 0.3 kgf. Keywords : flying fish, Wakatobi waters, longlines ABSTRAK Pengembangan alat tangkap rawai ikan terbang perlu didasari kajian tentang desain konstruksinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tujuan perancangan alat tangkap oleh nelayan serta desain dan konstruksi rawai ikan terbang yang dioperasikan nelayan di perairan Wakatobi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan juni 2021 di Desa Mola Bahari Kecamatan Wangi-wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi, Sulawesi Tenggara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tujuan perancangan rawai ikan terbang di perairan Wakatobi adalah ikan terbang yang hidup di bagian permukaan perairan dalam bentuk kawanan yang tidak terlalu padat. Sehingga rawai ikan terbang didesain agar dapat membentang di permukaan air selebar kawanan ikan terbang. Warna dan bentuk umpan disesuaikan dengan makanan alami ikan terbang dan ukuran mata pancing disesuaikan dengan bukaan mulut ikan terbang. Desain rawai ikan terbang yang dioperasikan di Perairan Wakatobi terdiri atas tali utama, tali cabang, dan tali pelampung dengan bahan PVF bernomor 4 hingga nomor 5. Pancing bernomor 18 hingga nomor 19, umpan benang sutera dan pelampung tanda dari botol plastik. Berat total alat tangkap berkisar antara 0,534 kg hingga 1,244 kg. Total gaya apung alat tangkap adalah 31,3 kgf hingga 31,9 kgf, jauh lebih tinggi daripada total gaya tenggelam yang berkisar antara 0,2 kgf hingga 0,3 kgf. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between seasonal oceanographic conditions (distribution of sea surface temperature, chlorophyll-a concentration, current patterns, and salinity) and catch of small pelagic fish. Analysis was carried out using the survey method and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the relationship between oceanographic factors (temperature, chlorophyll, and salinity) and the catch of small pelagic fish in Sinjai waters. The results showed that the distribution of sea surface temperature in Sinjai waters varied during the study, ranging from 29 to 32°C. Abstract

Hand line is a simple fishing gear where this fishing gear consists of a capstan, fishing line, swivel, artificial bait and weight. The operation of this fishing gear is very simple where the operation can be done by an angler and does not require much operational cost. The technique of operation is by lowering the fishing rod paired with bait to the bottom and then pulled back after the fish is caught in the fishing rod is raised on the boat. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the types and sizes of fish caught based on the color of the bait used (white, green and blue), and to determine the effect of using different bait colors on the catch. This research was conducted in January and February 2023 in the waters of Maginti Island, West Muna Regency. This research used experimental fishing method, in which the researcher participated in the operation of handline fishing for 20 trips. The results of the study found that the total catch with white bait caught was 173 individuals of 7 species of fish, green bait 88 individuals of 4 species of fish and blue bait 40 individuals of 4 species of fish. In the three types of bait color yellow mackerel (Selaroides leptolepis) is the most dominant fish caught. The size distribution is in the class interval of 9.1-19 cm TL. Abstract

ABSTRACT Wameo Fish Landing Base (PPI Wameo) contribution an important role in supporting fisheries in Baubau City. Fishing industry activities are centered at PPI Wameo, but this important role is still constrained by the lack of optimal facilities in its operations. The objectives of this research are to: 1). Identify the installed capacity and utilization of existing facilities at PPI Wameo. 2). Estimating the needs of several PPI Wameo facilities. This research was conducted in Oktober-December 2022, at the Wameo Fish Landing Base (PPI), Wameo Village, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. Capacity and utilization rates were obtained through observation and comparison between utilization or current needs with available capacity. The results showed that the pier has a length of 15 meters while what is needed is 105,7 meters with an utilization rate of 704%, a pond depth of 2.0 meters while is needed is 2,9 meters with an utilization rate of 145%, the area of the TPI building is 384 m2 while is needed is 378,9 m2 with an utilization rate of 98.6%, 4.96 tons of ice while is needed is 15,4 tons with a utilization rate of 311% , 15,000 liters of clean water/day while is needed is 13.141 liters with a utilization rate of 87.3%, and 7.500 liters of fuel while is needed is 7.065 liters with a utilization rate of 94%. Suggestions from this research are the need for capacity building of existing facilities, where some facilities have insufficient capacity for operations. Keywords: Fishing Port Facilities, PPI Wameo, Utilization Level.. ABSTRAK Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Wameo (PPI Wameo) berperan penting dalam menunjang perikanan di Kota Baubau. Aktivitas industri perikanan terpusat di PPI Wameo, namun peran penting tersebut masih terkendala dengan adanya fasilitas yang kurang maksimal dalam pengoperasiannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1). Mengidentifikasi kapasitas yang terpasang dan pemanfaatan fasilitas yang ada di PPI Wameo. 2). Mengestimasi kebutuhan beberapa fasilitas PPI Wameo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2022, di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Wameo, Kelurahan Wameo, Kota Baubau Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Kapasitas dan tingkat pemanfaatan diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan membandingkan antara pemanfaatan atau kebutuhan saat ini dengan kapasitas yang tersedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dermaga memiliki panjang 15 meter sedangkan yang dibuthkan 105,7 meter dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 704%, kedalaman kolam 2,0 meter sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 2,9 meter dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 145%, luas gedung TPI 384 m2 sedangkan yang dibutuhkan378,9 m2 dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 98,6%, es 4,96 ton sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 15,4 ton dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 311%, air bersih 15000 liter/hari sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 13.141 liter/hari dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 87,3%, dan BBM 7500 liter sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 7065 liter/hari dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 94%. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya pengembangan kapasitas fasilitas yang ada, dimana beberapa fasilitas mempunya kapasitas yang tidak mencukupi untuk operasional.
