Abstract

This research aims to analyze mutually reinforcing relations between climate change and interfaith harmony. Interfaith peace in the context of climate change can be created more effectively by building harmony and peace in Indonesia as a plural state because alleviation is no longer segmented to faith-based efforts alone. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Based on the conceptual framework of environmental peacebuilding, this study found four important points: (1) climate change and interfaith harmony are mutually reinforcing; and (2) the shift from a faith-based approach to interfaith-based approach represents a more effective Environmental Peacebuilding effort (3) The existence of bottom-up initiatives executed in the frame of interfaith cooperation shows that the role of local communities is increasingly significant in environmental peacebuilding efforts in Indonesia. (4) Interfaith communities can conduct advocacy to build a more critical society by addressing national development that intersects with environmental interests.

Abstract

Papua is one of the regions located in the eastern part of Indonesia with topographical conditions that are difficult for the government to implement development smoothly. This has led to prolonged conflict due to dissatisfaction with the ruling government. The solutions offered by the government are solutions to improve welfare and development in the Papua region as well as legal regulations to make Papua an area with special autonomy. The solution has an impact on the social life of the Papuan people, so this research aims to explain social change in conflict resolution by the Indonesian government. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection using document studies and literature reviews related to the Papua conflict, the socio-cultural conditions of the Papuan people and the impact of conflict and conflict resolution on the Papuan people. This study found that the impact of the conflict has changed the social life of the Papuan people where the Papuan people have experienced a decrease in welfare and education aspects, including the emergence of distrust of the government and suspicion of migrants. Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the complex relationship between Indonesian social dynamics and the legal framework governing land development, examining the implications for societal welfare and legal certainty. Indonesia's land governance environment is changing dramatically as a result of fast population expansion and the shift to the digital era. Despite the desire for an equitable and flourishing society, gaps exist between the idealistic goals of community development and the practical implementation of agrarian legislation. This study seeks to answer the following questions: the impact of Indonesian social behavior on law creation and implementation, the impact of social structures on legal interpretation, the role of community organizations and governmental bodies in legal regulation, and the evolution of land service through the lens of legal sociology. By examining these issues, this study hopes to provide insights into the complexity of land development in Indonesia, with an emphasis on increasing legal clarity and promoting societal well-being.

Abstract

The shift from conventional togel gaming to internet gambling and its socio-legal ramifications is the main topic of this study, which examines the evolution of gambling activities in Indonesia. Togel gaming was first popular with people who wanted to make quick money. Togel gambling continued despite attempts to stop it, such as demonstrations held under Padang Mayor Fauzi Bahar's administration; frequently, senior law enforcement personnel were said to be involved. With the development of technology and the widespread availability of the internet, togel turned into an online gambling game. Even though it's still illegal, online gambling is nonetheless very common because of its accessibility and inadequate enforcement. The paper highlights difficulties in enforcing the laws by discussing the regulations and penalties related to internet gambling under Indonesian law. Additionally, it looks at the socioeconomic factors—such as financial strains and technological influences—that lead people to gamble online. In order to lessen the negative impacts of internet gambling on Indonesian society, the study's conclusion calls for comprehensive measures to be implemented. It also highlights the significance of legal knowledge, religious education, and societal initiatives.
