Abstract

Fineness modulus of sand was defined to be total number percentage of granular cumulative that is restrained over a standardized sieve in terms of a weight percentage. In a concrete mix design, the proportion of a coarse aggregate is dependent upon the percentage of fineness modulus of sand. The research is designed to examine any definition of fineness modulus of sand begins at fineness modulus in a concretemix. The amount of experimental materials are 3 to be used to each mixed composition. An experiment was conducted in a cylindrical  experimental with 10 cm in diameter, 20 cm in height. The observation is conducted at 14 days, 21 days, 28 days with ACI method. The research shown that best fineness modulus of sand applied to 25 MPa quality concrete mix is a mixture with fineness modulus of sand of 2,63 – 3,38. While best fineness modulus of sand applied to 40 MPa quality concrete in concrete mix design are 3,32 – 3,38.

Abstract

A road is always needed as a transportation media because of that it’s hoped condition has a durability feet with the plan duration, so it’s attempted an increase of mixture pavement both the increase of road geometric and it’s pavement structure. In increasing the pavement structure sought a material alternative to be mixed with asphalt or aggregate. Aggregate is main component from road pavement structure. Aggregate used as mixture material of asphalt pavement. This research is aimed to observe the influence of sulfur to coarse aggregate characteristic which used LASTON AC-WC pavement mixture by Marshall method. This research used 60 penetration of asphalt. For specific gravity and absorption test of coarse aggregate was done a test of coarse aggregate mixed by sulfur based on percentage variation of sulfur to the coarse aggregate mass 5%, 10% and 15%. From the test of that coarse aggregate got 15% of the sulfur to the coarse aggregate mass  by absorption percentage 2,67%. The result of the mass test to the coarse aggregate mixed with sulfur gained the score of flow and VFA decreased. Meanwhile the score of stability, VMA VIM increased compared with the coarse aggregate without sulfur, it’s caused the aggregate hole filed by sulfur. Optimum asphalt content for the mixture of pavement with coarse aggregate without sulfur was 6,37% and aggregate mixed with sulfur was 15% of coarse aggregate wasn’t  gained the mass. Optimum asphalt  content of the test can be concluded that the coarse aggregate mixed  with sulfur needs more asphalt content

Abstract

Dr. Moewardi Hospital is a hospital  owned by Surakarta Regional Government, UMS Campus is a largest private university of Surakarta, and Matahari Plazais the largest plaza of Surakarta recently, all of the are needs the comportable parking area. To anticipate the parking area problem, it needs the research about the characteristics about the parking area of Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Matahari Plaza, and UMS Campus. The researcher used the descriptive analytic to accomplish the research. From the research result, it’s expected as the reference and developing  every activity. With the ratio as 15 minutes for 11.5 hours, based from the analysis results it may concluded that the highest accumulation of car parking in Dr. Moewardi Hospital 168 cars which over the parking index as 124%, in UMS campus as 101 cars, with the parking index as 63%, and Matahari Plaza 92 cars with the parking index as 73%. Parking turn over in Dr. Moewardi Hospital as 4,11 UMS as 2,68 and Matahari Plaza as 5,29. The highest accumulation of motor find in Dr. Moewardi Hospital at 421 with parking index as 112, UMS as 771 cars with parking index as 107 and Matahari Plaza as 124 cars, parking index 77%. Parking turn over of motor of Dr. Moewardi Hospital 4,05, UMS Campus as 2,57 and Matahari Plaza as 7,10. The parking area for motors and cars of Dr. Moewardi Hospital is need to widening, and the parking area for motors of UMS Campus is needs to widening.

Abstract

The high of project cost to built a strong costruction can be minimized  by planning optimization. Optimum planning include to plan an optimum structure planning, to choose an appropriate construction technique, construction material selection, etc. the goal of optimum planning is try to gain the lowest project to select economic material construction. It can be done by selecting construction material alternative. The material alternative applied is based on result of material survey which available. Therefore, selected material alternative is concrete and stone-concrete combination. Being have a list of material price, transport fee is added on the price from survey, the next step is analyzing material cost project site. That cost will be mentioned as the material cost in each alternatives of construction item. Material price, labor salary and equipment cos t have strong influence to count the value of a project. In this case, labor salary determined by regional government in that location. Mean while, equipment cost is gotten by analysed by  of operational equipment cos per hour. After all data achieved , then analyze unit cost of project according to value per unit of working volume. The result of this analysing  shows that project value of concrete dam construction is Rp. 6.036.260.480 and stone-concrete combination dam is Rp. 5.716.901.100. According to both alternatives, the more economical is the choice, that is the working of stone-concrete combination assembly.

Abstract

Highway geometric design is a part of highway planning which focused on physical form planning, so it can fulfil the highway basic function. Highway geometric design consists of horizontal alignment and vertical alignment and each of them has its own calculation. The alternative roads of Kuningan regency is one of important basic infrastructures as an effort to increase social standard of life style among the cities in that area. In addition to those purpose the link that can guarantee our security, comport, fluency, and safety, to its consumer. The location chosen is limited, its only 640, 026 m length. It started from STA 0+000, and ended at STA 0+640,026, West Java Province. The evaluation of this geometric design is based on secondary data obtain from PT INDEC & Associates Limited, as a Consultant Designer of alternative road of Kuningan regency link construction project. From result ofa evaluation can be seen that with superelevation>from 4%, ∆ big existing, is obtained radian radius value which planned is smaller, while curve of Full Circle need big radius, Considering the mentioned hereinafter third the curve form turned into S-C-S at PI1, PI2, and PI3. By using sloping prices (g,%) of stasioning abscissa and of PPV which have been determined, yielding design planning of vertical alignment which is equal to Consultant planner design.

Abstract

Santan dam is designed to be built in Santan river for supply water of Bontang city in East Kalimantan Province. The contruction of Santan dam is intended to anticipate the development of Bontang city in the next twenty years to be an industrial and mining city. The spillway of the dam is designed using side channel spillway provided by straight chute cannel and USBR II Stilling basin. The objectives of the hydraulic design study for the spillway are to evaluate and to achieve the perfect, safe and optimum hydraulic design of the spillway. The study method is conducted by physical hydraulic model investigation in the laboratory. The model is an undistorted model with geometric same both in horizontal and vertical direction, to be selected as 1 to 40. Based on the study results, it is concluded that the hydraulic performance of the original design in less, because there are some eddies unsptream of the crest, some cross waves in the chute channel and the stilling basin doesnot effectively dissipate the energy. In order to perfect the hydraulic design, it is recommended to modify the upstream guide walls, side channel spillway, chute channel and the stilling basin.
