Abstract

Introduction: Metabolic syndrome is a composite of multiple cardiovascular disorders characterized by abdominal/central obesity, increased blood sugar, blood pressure, triglycerides, and decreased high-density lipoprotein (HDL). As a result of disorders caused by Metabolic Syndrome which causes one of the diseases       Dyslipidemia. The purpose of this        study was to determine the relationship between the incidence of Metabolic Syndrome and Dyslipidemia. Method: This study used a literature study research method which was carried out by collecting data through literature searches or electronic-based literature reviews using internet media. Result: In this literature review, the authors cite thirty journals consisting of eighteen national journals and twelve international journals. Twenty-five journals in this study showed a correlation between the relationship between the incidence of metabolic syndrome and dyslipidemia. junk food and lack of regular exercise. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the incidence of metabolic syndrome and dyslipidemia. Keywords: Incidence Rate, Metabolic Syndrome, Dyslipidemia

Abstract

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that attacks the surface layer of the cervix, called squamous epithelial cells, which are located between the uterus and the vagina. It is important for women to know what factors can cause cervical cancer and have knowledge about preventing cervical cancer because the incidence of cervical cancer is still high in Indonesia, and there are still many women who lack knowledge. Method: A descriptive research design with a sample size of 33 people used total sampling of respondents who underwent pap smear examinations during Early Detection of Cervical Cancer event in RW 12 - Pondok Wage Indah 2 Sidoarjo. The data will be analyzed with a quantity test using SPSS software. Results: This research shows that the average age of respondents iss 48 years, as many as 47.2% of respondents have high education (minimum D3), the majority are housewives (IRT) as many as 25 people (69.4%), and the majority 23 people (63.9%) had good knowledge of cervical cancer risk factors, 9 people (25%) had sufficient/moderate knowledge and 1 person (2.8%) had poor knowledge. Conclusion: Respondents who underwent pap smear examinations mostly had a good level of knowledge about cervical cancer.

Abstract

Introduction: Inflammation plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of various health conditions, ranging from chronic diseases to autoimmune disorders. This narrative review delves into the intricate relationship between nutrition and inflammation, exploring the potential of dietary interventions as an alternative in mitigating metabolic conditions. Method: The relevant articles from databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar in the recent years have been extracted using the main keywords were: metabolic, omega 3, inflammation, gut microbiota, dietary pattern, polyphenols, dietary fiber, probiotics, and anti-inflammatory diet. Result: This review discussed the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammation and how certain dietary components can either exacerbate or mitigate these processes. The role of dietary patterns, such as the mediterranean, dietary approach to stop hypertension (DASH), plant-based diet, and anti-inflammatory diets, in promoting overall health and reducing inflammation. These patterns emphasize the consumption of whole foods rich in anti-inflammatory agents while minimizing pro-inflammatory substances. The complex interaction between the gut microbiota and dietary factors, underscoring the bidirectional relationship that influences inflammatory outcomes. Conclusion: the multifaceted exploration presented herein underscores the potential of nutrition as a modifiable factor in promoting anti-inflammatory environments within the body.

Abstract

Introduction: Therapy for diabetic neuropathy pain has not been able to provide a significant effect for patients so that the side effects of pain complaints affect the quality of work and social life of type 2 DM patients at Bhayangkara Watukosek Hospital. The aim of this study was to determine whether stress levels can influence the incidence of diabetic neuropathy pain at Bhayangkara Watukosek Hospital. Method: The research is analytical in nature with Odds Ratio (OR) calculations to test hypotheses. The research population was 250 type 2 DM patients with a sample of 40 respondents taken at simple random. The variables consist of the incidence of diabetic neuropathy pain as the dependent variable, and stress level as the independent variable. Result: the relationship between stress levels and the incidence of NND in type 2 DM patients at Bhayangkara Watukosek Hospital produced an odds ratio of 3 (OR > 1). Conclusion: respondents who experienced stress were 3 times more likely to experience NND than respondents who were not stressed. To reduce or suppress the incidence of NND, people who suffer from type 2 DM and are aged ≥50 years should have regular check-ups at the hospital to prevent NND. For the management of Bhayangkara Watukosek Hospital, it is recommended to carry out a mentoring program for type 2 DM patients who are ≥50 years old because many respondents who suffer from NND and experience stress are ≥50 years old.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a hypertensive condition accompanied by proteinuria in pregnancies of more than 20 weeks of age, caused by vasospasm and endothelial activation and complicates pregnancy conditions that can cause death in the mother, fetus and neonate. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between risk factors for the age of pregnant women and the incidence of preeclampsia. This study used a literature study research method, carried out with data collection activities through literature searches or electronic-based literature reviews using the internet. This study used 25 journals consisting of 17 national journals and 8 international journals. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal age during pregnancy and the incidence of preeclampsia. and the incidence tends to increase at the age of <20 years and >35 years as a risk factor. So it is necessary to carry out monitoring through adequate and regular Ante Natal Care visits.

Abstract

Introduction: Gastritis is an infection of the mucosal lining of the stomach. Diet can cause gastritis due to inappropriate eating habits such as eating frequently, eating irregularly, and not eating for a long time, so that stomach acid levels increase. In addition, stress can cause hormonal changes in the body, which stimulates stomach cells to produce excessive amounts of acid. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between dietary factors and stress and the incidence of gastritis.Method: The type of research used is a literature review which uses previous research originating from national and international journals as a reference for drawing conclusions on research resultsResults: There is a relationship between diet and stress factors with the incidence of gastritisConclusion: Diet has an important role in the health of the digestive system, an unbalanced diet can affect bowel movements. Eating patterns include types of food, frequency of eating, and number or portions of food in a day. Factors that influence eating patterns are economic, socio-cultural, religious, educational and environmental factors. Stress can also trigger gastritis, because it causes increased gastric acid production and gastric peristaltic movements and influences gastritis recurrence. Keywords: Gastritis, Diet, Stress
