Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for at least 70% of deaths in the world. Although it cannot be transmitted from person to person or from animal to person, weak control of risk factors can lead to an increase in cases every year. Nationally, the results of Riskesdas 2018 show that the prevalence of the population with high blood pressure is 34.11%. The prevalence of high blood pressure in women (36.85%) is higher than that of men (31.34%). The prevalence in urban areas is slightly higher (34.43%) compared to rural areas (33.72%). Prevalence increases with age. This screening activity aims to determine blood pressure, blood glucose levels, uric acid and cholesterol in the people of Nambo sub-district. The measurement results showed that most of the people who participated in this screening activity experienced hypertension and only a small portion had high levels of glucose, uric acid and cholesterol.

Abstract

Stigma is a relational and social process in which negative characteristics are associated with groups/individuals based on prejudice which leads to discriminatory behavior (identifies as being different or undesirable). Stigma plays a role in forming a bad image in mental disorders. The stigma of mental illness causes the person experiencing it to lose self-esteem, prevents them from seeking medical help, and prevents them from getting opportunities such as job opportunities and opportunities to live independently and safely. If the stigma about mental disorders is still developing among the general public and health workers, it will prevent people with mental disorders from getting help. The purpose of this community service activity through the Stigma Reduction Webinar for People with Mental Disorders is to provide education and health campaigns that can reduce stigma against people with mental disorders. Through this service activity, the community is expected to know the impact of stigma and change the negative perception of people with mental disorders.

Abstract

The number of ventilators in Indonesia is considered insufficient, encouraging a number of private institutions and educational institutions to create many ventilator innovations, but there are still many ventilator prototypes that have not passed the BPFK testing. This study aims to identify the factors that cause the prototype has not passed BPFK testing and determine strategies that can be applied by BPFK Surabaya and socialize them. The method used to analyze the problem and its solution is fishbone diagram, USG, and SWOT analysis, while in evaluating the understanding of the participants in the socialization, pretest and posttest were used which were analyzed using paired t-test. The results showed that the main factor causing the problem was that the specification guidelines used were still general in nature and had not fully paid attention to the patient safety aspect, so the aggressive strategy developed was to create new specification guidelines. The results of the evaluation data analysis using the t-test showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in knowledge after the socialization of the new specification guidelines.

Abstract

Early detection (screening) aims to detect precancerous changes, if there are changes and are not treated, can cause cancer. IVA is one of the simplest and cheapest cervical cancer screenings to do with high accuracy test results. The problems faced in the field are the lack of knowledge of WUS about early detection of cervical cancer with the IVA method and the low coverage of IVA services at the Jelbuk Public Health Center. This community service activity is to provide counseling about the importance of early cervical cancer screening and continued with IVA examination activities. The conclusion of this activity is that most of the participants' knowledge about cervical cancer and cervical cancer prevention increased and the IVA test results showed 97.3% (36 participants) were negative and 0.7% (1 participant) was suspected of having cervical cancer.

Abstract

Covid 19 can be transmitted from human to human through coughing / sneezing, people most at risk of contracting the disease are people who are in direct contact with covid 19 patients. To break the chain of transmission of covid 19 the role of community members is needed for example by maintaining distance, quarantine of the region, maintaining environmental health and hygiene, wearing masks, washing hands, adequate rest so that immunity is maintained and using hand sanitizer. The use of hand sanitizer is very important to prevent the transmission of covid 19. Hand sanitizers have the ability to kill viruses, but due to the high market needs make hand sanitizers difficult to find in the market. Utilization of natural ingredients aloe vera and basil in the manufacture of hand sanitizer can be a solution to meet the needs of hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer training activities to cadres were held at West Pademawu Village Hall. The implementation of this activity is expected by cadres to be able to socialize to the community, so that the need for hand sanitizer can be met.

Abstract

Midwives as the front line in maintaining the health of mothers and children in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, are a challenge for midwives to improve the quality of midwifery services. Efforts to improve maternal health services during the Covid-19 pandemic in the New Normal Era. Various efforts from the Lamongan district government have been optimal regarding the mapping of hospitals/Puskesmas that handle cases of pregnant women, maternity and postpartum but this does not reduce the fear related to visits to hospitals/Puskesmas they are more comfortable coming to first-level health facilities but there is also a potential health center level the risk of exposure is quite high. So the proposer intends to provide socialization regarding the MCH Handbook as a friend of the mother and child so that the mother and child are calm and comfortable with self-screening and media consultations that make clients not often in contact with health facilities if the illness is not too severe even if they have to make visits, everything is planned. there is no queue at the clinic, of course also preparing everything in sterile conditions and applying all health protocols.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service aims to increase promotive and preventive activities in an effort to prevent non-communicable diseases through PTM young mobile posbindu activities. Previously, PTM Posbindu activities in Rosep Village had not run optimally with low visits during activities. Meanwhile, in Rosep Village, hypertension cases are very high. This community service activity is carried out in September - October 2021. The focus of this community service activity is to increase posbindu activities with a walking posbindu approach with local village youth as cadres. Teenagers are trained to understand about posbindu, young mobile posbidu and detection of PTM risk factors. In addition, youth who have joined the PTM young mobile posbindu cadre are trained to be skilled in PTM risk detection including checking height and weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and gout. Furthermore, adolescents are deployed to the community to move into the community to detect PTM risk factors. As a result, adolescents have the ability to detect risk factors and many people who are detected are at risk of developing PTM. This activity went smoothly, teenagers and the community were very enthusiastic to apply these skills in the detection of PTM risk factors.
