Abstract

Abstract: Preparedness is an activity to anticipate pre-disaster mitigation so that each individual is always ready and prepared to face natural disasters. This study aims to determine the knowledge of school-aged children about pre-disaster preparedness for the eruption of Mount Kelud. This study used a pre-experimental method with a sample size of 31 respondents taken through purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done using a questionnaire. The results of the study showed a significant increase in knowledge. The pre-test results showed that there were no respondents in the good knowledge category, but after being given education using the Time Games Tournament method, there were 23 respondents (74%) in that category. Additionally, the category of sufficient knowledge increased from 0% to 26%, and the category of poor knowledge decreased from 100% to 0%. The Time Games Tournament method is an effective learning technique for delivering pre-disaster preparedness knowledge in a fun way. This method can also increase students' spirit, enable them to actively participate, foster a sense of togetherness and mutual respect, and improve creativity. Therefore, educators and health workers are expected to apply an educational program using the Time Games Tournament learning method in conducting health education. Keywords: preparedness, education, Team Games Tournament method, school age child

Abstract

The most common complaint felt by patients due to fractures and the main complaint of patients after surgery is pain. Pain that is felt continuously can result in clinical and psychological changes. Benson's relaxation can be an alternative intervention in patients with Post Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) limb fractures to reduce pain by stimulating the pituitary gland to release endorphins and inhibit pain impulses from the cerebral cortex and thalamus. Benson Relaxation is safe and easy to do, has no risk of injury/side effects. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Benson relaxation on pain in patients with Post Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) limb fractures in the Dahlia Room at Mardi Waluyo General Hospital, Blitar. The research design uses a quasi-experimental pre-post test design. The population was all post ORIF patients with extremity fractures in the Dahlia (surgical) room at Mardi Waluyo Blitar Hospital with a total of 35 patients. The sample was post ORIF extremity fracture patients in the Dahlia Room of Mardi Waluyo General Hospital Blitar with a total sample of 13 respondents in each group using the Consecutive Sampling technique. Pain measurement data uses a Numerical Rating Scale. Statistical test using independent t-test. The results showed that the mean decrease in pain score in the Benson relaxation intervention group was 1.10, while the mean decrease in pain score in the control group was 0.44 with a pvalue of 0.00 < 0.05. It was concluded that there was an effect of Benson relaxation on pain in patients with Post Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) limb fractures. Benson relaxation is effective in reducing pain in patients with post open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) limb fractures. There needs to be a standard operating procedure regarding Benson's relaxation, so that later it can be implemented by all nurses. Keywords: Benson Relaxation, Pain, Fracture, Post ORIF

Hypoglycemia is a result of lower blood sugar levels below normal. The purpose of this research is to know the description of Diabetes Mellitus patient's knowledge about Hypoglycemia and the initial treatment of Hypoglycemia. The research design used descriptive research design and purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 30 people. Data collection using questionnaire sheet. The results showed that Diabetes Mellitus patients on the initial handling of Hypoglycemia found that 46.7% were in the category of knowledge enough and 16.7% less. Counseling by Polyclinic officers in Diabetes Mellitus patients about early handling Hypoglycemia needs to be done to treat Hypoglycemia.

Abstract

Surgery can cause excessive fear and anxiety and can lead to complications. To reduce anxiety, non-pharmacological techniques is Benson Relaxation Therapi which is carried out by deep breathing and accompanied by beliefs held by the patient to achieve a relaxed state. Population on this research is preoperative major surgery patients. Sampling technique with Purposive Sampling 22 respondent. This research method : Quasy Experimental with One Group Pre-Test Post-Test, using questionnaire sheets, Standard Operating Procedures of Benson’s Relaxations, and Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test analysis.  The purpose of study to determine the effect of Benson’s Relaxations on anxiety levels in preoperative major surgery patients. The Results of the Study : Using the analysis with the results of p-value = 0.000 which means <0.005. Conclusion : There is an effect of Benson’s Relaxation on the anxiety levels of pre operative major surgery patients. With the result of  this reseach be used as a reference  for Mardi Waluyo Blitar District Hospital in publishing of SPO Benson’s Relaxation it can be used to treat anxiety non-pharmacologically. Beside that, of nurses are expected to be able and willing to implement of Benson’s Relaxation which is proven effective in treating anxiety patients in all patients who experience anxiety in general. Keywords : Surgery, Benson Relaxation Technique, Anxiety

Abstract

The long healing of post sectio caesarea wounds has an impact on patients and their families. In addition to the additional burdensome costs, patients can experience trauma due to the wound healing process that lasts a long time.Hemoglobin is the main component that transports oxygen and nutrients needed for the wound healing process. This study aims to analyze the effect of hemoglobin levels on the healing process of post sectio caesarea wounds at Aminah Hospital Blitar. The research design uses a case control approach samples were taken using consecutive sampling techniques with research inclusion criteria of 89 respondents.Data on hemoglobin levels were taken from secondary data on preoperative hemoglobin levels of patients in medical record documents and data on the process of wound healing seen from the results of one-time observation when the patient controls the obstetric polyclinic between day 7 to day 10 post sectio caesarea.Data were analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results showed that 62.9% of respondents had normal hemoglobin levels and 79.77% of respondents showed good wound healing processes. The results of the statistical test analysis showed a p value of 0.000 which was smaller than α of 0.05 with an R-square of 0.196.This means that there is an effect of hemoglobin levels on the wound healing process post sectio caesarea. So it is expected that pregnant women and their families pay attention to the value of hemoglobin levels during pregnancy and after delivery to ensure health and wound healing post sectio caesarea. Keywords:hemoglobin, wound, post sectio caesarea
