The Jurnal of Aceh Aquatic Sciences is managed by the Department of Aqutic Resource , Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Teuku Umar University aims to publish the results of basic, applied research, and short communication in the scope of aquatic resources as; fish stock studies and population dynamics, aquatic biodiversity, fisheries technology, fisheries biology, water pollution, waste water treatment, aquatic resources management, aquatic ecosystem conservation and ecotourism. The scope of the area includes marine, coastal and inland fisheries. The focus and scope of this publication are expected to contribute thoughts for the government to strengthen the science of aquatic resources management.

Abstract

This study attempts to identify the effects differences in the hues lamp oil-based lamps given to successful operations fish bait by the use of a get the beach ( seine seane ) on the gulf of ambon part in north conducted on 20 Oktober to 25 December 2018, the data was undertaken at night from pm 20.00  wit to 05.00 wit  closer to waiheru coastal village ( i station ), coastal village and hunut station ( ii ) in as many as 10 times using two units of a get the beach ( seine seane ) and two a light color, treatment color the each green orens design and color on the random group ( RAK ). Remedial than 10 times there are three kinds of fish baited with the details are as follows: fish tatari ( rastrelliger spp ) 5927 the tail ( 44 % ) , heavy 10,42 kg ( 47 % ) , fish puri ( encrasicholine heteroloba ) the number of 6419 the tail ( 48 % ) , heavy 8,01 kg at 42 % and fish make ( sardinella sp ) the number of 1013 the tail ( 8 % ) , heavy 1,57 kg ( 11 % ) .With a total of the fish 13.395 a tail with heavy 20 kg with details of the fish a fish bait treatment with the greatest percentage in a lamp shade the color of orans namely 7745 a tail with heavy 9.99 kg and then treatment a lamp shade of a green color to the total number of 5614 a tail with heavy 9,98 kg .The results of the analysis of the results of the diversity of types of catch a fish bait , show that the two a light shade of have a which do not exhibit a significant difference or both the color of the light dicobakan the same - alike will be good for use in an effort to arrest a kind of small pelagic fish especially the types of a fish bait.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman jenis mangrove disetiap daerah berbeda-beda. Hal ini dikarenakan karakteristik lingkungan yang berbeda antara satu daerah dengan daerah lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis mangrove di Pantai Lam Naga, Kecamatan Meureubo, Aceh Barat. Pengumpulan data jenis mangrove dilakukan dengan pencacahan jenis-jenis mangrove di kedua stasiun pengamatan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem mangrove di Pantai Lam Naga disusun oleh 7 jenis mangrove yang terdiri atas 5 jenis mangrove sejati dan 2 jenis mangrove asosiasi. Jenis-jenis mangrove sejati yang ditemukan yaitu Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia alba, Nypa fruticans dan Acrostichum speciosum. Sedangkan jenis mangrove asosiasi yaitu Hibiscus tiliaceus dan Pandanus odoratissima. Keanekaragaman jenis mangrove tergolong rendah dibandingkan dengan daerah lainnya.

Abstract

Zooplankton has an important role in the food web, as secondary producers. Environmental changes affect the abundance and diversity of zooplankton. This study aims to examine the abundance and diversity of zooplankton in the coastal of Lubuk Damar. The research was conducted in January 2018 at Lubuk Damar coastal water, Seruway, Aceh Tamiang. Zooplankton sampling was taken at high tide, where 100 liters of water were taken using a calibrated 10-liter bucket, then filtered using a plankton net with a mesh size of 28 micron. There are nine groups of zooplankton found. The highest abundance is in Nauplius, and the lowest is in Pontilidae. A diversity index in a low state with low evenness and high dominance.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is a community of plants or forests that are able to adapt to salinity and tides. The composition and structure of mangrove vegetation differ both spatially and temporally. The potential for the use of mangrove ecosystems in West Kalimantan is in areas that have been developed as a mangrove ecotourism destination, one of which is the Standing Bay Mangrove which is located on the coast of Kubu Raya Regency. This conservation-based ecotourism can optimize the potential of the mangrove ecosystem by paying attention to ecological sustainability and creating economic value coastal tourism areas. The purpose of this paper is to determine the concept of mangrove ecotourism development based on conservation. However, with the current pandemic situation, research cannot be carried out directly in the field, so what is done is to analyze the conservation-based mangrove ecotourism development strategy from journals related to this paper. Tourism potential that can be developed is carried out, namely analyzing the carrying capacity of the area, developing ecotourism products with special interest in mangroves, increasing the quality of competent resources, the effectiveness of rehabilitation and wise enforcement of mangrove protection regulations, improving infrastructure, community involvement in developing mangrove ecotourism so that the potential for   mangrove   ecotourism   can be utilized optimally. Develop mangrove conservation and rehabilitation activities as one of the leading tourism programs.

Abstract

Research on the distribution of freshwater fish in Lake Ie Sayang, West Woyla is still limited. whereas these fish species are generally of economic value and are ecologically also very important in the balance of freshwater habitats. The purpose of this study was to determine the catch of freshwater fish caught using fishing nets and spatial and temporal distribution patterns of freshwater fish communities in Ie Sayang lake. The study was conducted from June to August 2019 with the direct survey method of spaciousness by catching fish at each fish sampling station in the lake ie Sayang. Determination of the station based on the area of the flow of water in and out of the lake. The number of fish obtained is counted and identified to species level. There were 30 fish found during the study. The highest fish catch in August was 11 fish, and the lowest fish catch in June was 9 fish. Based on the spatial distribution of freshwater fish found in station I and station II, while station III is less than station I and II. The highest temporal distribution of fish was found in August. This is allegedly due to the influence of water temperature. In August it has entered the rainy season in the Ie Sayang lake area. Based on the measurement of water quality, this study shows that the capture of fish is in line with the suitability of water temperature and complexity of the habitats available in Ie Sayang lake.

Abstract

penelitian  karakteristik habitat spesies kerang kawasan  Kabupaten Aceh  Jaya Provinsi Aceh bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik habitat yang ditempati spesies kerang. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2020. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling, pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak lima kali dengan selang waktu 30 hari. Hasil penelitian ditemukan  delapan  spesies kerang dengan karakteristik habitat yang berbedah. Faktor lingkungan habitat kerang adalah suhu air dengan kisaran 27-31oC, Salinitas berkisar antara 0-35 ppt, pH Air 7.4-8.1, pH tanah 3.4-6, substrat lempung sampai pasir dan bebatuan.  Keberadaan kerang sangat dipengaruhi salinitas pada satu perairan.
