Abstract

Sharing the Holy Bible is an activity held by the Church for the development of the faith of all people, both adults and Catholic Young People (OMK). All people are expected to take part in this activity. However, with changing times and increasingly rapid technological advances, OMK's awareness of the importance of participating in Sharing the Holy Book in Basic Community Groups,  the environment and parishes is decreasing. Young Catholics at Jesus Maria Yoseph Station are less active in sharing the Holy Bible because they think that sharing the holy book is just boring and tedious. This is because they do not understand properly and correctly about sharing the Holy Scriptures themselves. The method used in this research is qualitative with a rational empirical approach, prioritizing data analysis from observations and interviews. As a result, sharing the Holy Bible must become a habit so that OMKs love the Holy Bible more as a guide and foundation for Catholic life. Because the activity of sharing the Holy Bible itself aims to raise awareness and increase the Catholic faith in a good and correct way.

Abstract

The Second Vatican Council opened the veil of darkness in the Catholic church. The birth of the Second Vatican Council was the right moment for the Catholic Church to open itself to others of different religions, ethnicities and races. One of the things experienced in the Catholic Church is that it requires people to take active part in the eucharist of salvation. In this regard, all believers involve themselves as much as possible in various Church activities at KUB, in particular liturgical choir training. In this study, I focus my attention on the phenomenon that occurred at KUB Santu Yohanes Paul II Oebufu, namely the minimal participation of fathers in the liturgical choir. When investigated by the informants who provided information, it was found that there were various reasons. Some say that ego is dominant, while others say that mental awareness as Catholics is still minimal. It is necessary to realize that fathers should be role models in the family's faith life. So when the father is involved in various Church activities, it is certain that family members will emulate that attitude. However, if the opposite happens, that the fathers are passive in activities at KUB, then family members, especially children, will imitate their father's attitude. The Latin proverb says: "qui bene cantat bis orat" (who sings well he prays twice). The meaning of this proverb is that by singing well you are actually expressing your intentions and gratitude to God.

Abstract

In this study, the authors focus on the feeling of alienation experienced by covid-19 patients. Feeling alienated is something that pops up when they do the part. The methodology in this study takes a qualitative approach. The author tries to see the sense of alienation from a philosophical point of view; and how they deal with that sense of alienation. The author conducted in-depth interviews with several covid-19 survivors, complemented them with literature studies, and tried this phenomenon through the philosophy of relationality of Armada Riyanto, with a phenomenological approach. This study reveals the feeling of alienation experienced by covid-19 patients. This sense of alienation arises due to three factors, namely loneliness and loneliness, negative stigma on covid-19 patients, and their inability to express themselves. This study confirms that the relationship is a necessity. The nature of human existence is to be present together with others. In the context of this separation, relational (which is often considered to be lacking in quality) turns out to be a means of missing presence.

Abstract

The focus of this article is to explore the understanding of Catholic marriage annulation and the novelty carried out by Pope Francis through the Apostolic Letter Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus. This research was born after observing the divorce phenomenon that occurred in Indonesian society. The aim of this research is to explain the concept of annulation to Catholics and explain the purpose of Pope Francis in issuing the Apostolic Letter Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus which has an impact on the pastoral care of Catholic marriages. The research methodology used is qualitative with analytical descriptive writing methods. Qualitative research uses phenomenological and literature analysis. Data analysis was carried out to explain the meaning of annulation for Catholic marriages. The presence of the Apostolic Letter Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus brought reform to the annulation process. This has a direct impact on Catholic marital life today. The results of the analysis show that Catholic marriages do not recognize the term divorce because the Church values marriage as one and indissoluble. In the Apostolic Letter Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus, Pope Francis brought novelty by appointing   Bishops as judges themselves so that they could carry out a shorter annulation process while still paying attention to juridical requirements. It is this reform in the annulation that shows the role of the Church as a merciful image of God. The Church tries to embrace every congregation so that they do not feel alone in facing the marital problems they face. The Bishop's presence is increasingly real for God's people because the Bishop is the shepherd who feeds His sheep.

Abstract

The research entitled "Spirituality of SEKAMI Trustees of St. Gregorius Agung Kupang” was written with the intention of exploring the extent to which the SEKAMI Trustees of St. Gregory Agung Oeleta of the Kupang Archdiocese understands their spirituality. This is because the majority of coaches are not actively involved in SEKAMI activities which are carried out both during the normal coaching period and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is considered important because after all SEKAMI coaches are figures who have quite a big influence on the growth and development of children's faith apart from parents and teachers. This research uses qualitative methods. And the data collection process will use observation and interview techniques. The informants in this interview were six SEKAMI supervisors.
