Abstract

Inadequate health information can increase anxious reactions in patients and their families so that the preoperative information for cesarean section (informed consent) provided by officers aims to straighten out the patient's inaccurate perception or understanding of surgery. This study aims to see "the effect of pre operating teaching (inform consent) on decreasing levels of preoperative section cesarean patients at X Hospital Denpasar. This study used a comparative descriptive method with pre-test and post-test designs. The sampling method in this study using accidental sampling method with a total sample of 32 respondents. Data analysis was tested by Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test with significance p <0.05. The results of the study obtained a data value of 0,000, where the p-value (0,000) was smaller than the determined significant level (p <0.05) so that it can be ignored that the hypothesis of this study was accepted, namely that there was an effect of pre-operation teaching (inform consent) on reduction in the rate of reduction in preoperative section caesarean patients at X Hospital

Abstract

Maternal health services begin during pregnancy, one of which is delivery by means of cesarean section. The problem that occurs post sectio caesarea is pain. Management to reduce post sectio caesarean pain is recommended by finger hold relaxation. The relaxation technique that is also recommended for mothers after partum sectio caesarean is breastfeeding with the biological nurturing position of the baby led feeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of biologic nurturing baby led feeding and finger hold techniques on changes in pain in post sectio caesarean mothers. This research is a true experimental quantitative research with a pretest - posttest design with control. The sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling by simple random sampling. The number of samples in this study were 36 people who were divided into two groups, namely the control group as many as 18 people and the treatment group as many as 18 people who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Analysis of data using the Mann-Whitney U test analysis. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test analysis showed that the p value was 0.000 (<0,05), meaning that the hypothesis of this study was accepted, which means that there was an effect of biological nurturing baby led feeding and finger hold techniques on changes in pain in post-sectio caesarean mothers. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference in providing nursing care so that it can improve the quality of post-caesarean post section maternal services in dealing with pain experienced.

Abstract

Constipation is most common occurred in mechanically ventilated patients. Constipation that occurs in mechanically ventilated patients is often the cause of failed weaning. Constipation in a mechanically ventilated patient can be observed using the constipation scoring system. Nurses have an important role in overcoming constipation in patients who are mechanically ventilated during treatment. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that nurses can do to treat constipation is abdomen massage. This study aimed to determine the effect of abdomen massage on constipation experienced by patients with mechanical ventilation in the ICU Ward of X Hospital Denpasar. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only control group approach. The sampling method was purposive sampling, with one intervention and control group, each group consisted of 10 members. The data were analyzed using Shapiro Wilk test to determine the distribution of the data that had been obtained and using the Independent Sample T-Test to compare the posttest results of the intervention and control group. There was an effect of abdomen massage on constipation experienced by patients with mechanical ventilation with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00 with r value of 0.05, meaning that Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05. Therefore it can be concluded that there was an effect of abdomen massage on constipation experienced by patients with mechanical ventilation in the ICU Ward of X Hospital Denpasar. It is expected that in the treatment of patients with mechanical ventilation, abdomen massage can be applied to overcome constipation so that the weaning process can run smoothly.

Abstract

Hospitalization is a process of planning or emergency reasons that require children to be hospitalized for therapy. Being hospitalized is a big problem and creates fear and anxiety for the children. One of the efforts to overcome anxiety is by doing bibliotherapy. Doing bibliotherapy will provide many benefits, namely reducing stress or pressure faced, in terms of emotion bibliotherapy can help restore the condition of individuals who have trauma, eliminate boredom experienced by someone, and also reduce tension in oneself. Reading is a distraction that can lower stressor hormones, activate natural endorphins, and divert attention from fear, anxiety and tension, improve the body's chemical system, lower blood pressure and slow down breathing, heart rate, pulse, and brain wave activity. The purpose of this study was to identify anxiety experienced by children undergoing hospitalization before and after performing bibliotherapy and to analyze the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety in children underwent hospitalization. The research design used was pre experimental one-group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at Bhayangkara Denpasar Hospital in December 2020. The number of respondents in this study was 37 respondents who were determined using non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. Respondents performed bibliotherapy every day for 45 minutes. The analysis used the Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization. The results of the bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon test and the p value was 0,000 because the p value <α (0.05), then H0 was rejected. This means that there was an effect of bibliotherapy on decreasing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization at Bhayangkara Hospital in 2021.

Abstract

Stroke is a disease that is categorizes as a cause of disability and requires a long treatment for many sufferers, so that what we're needed and complex is to meet the needs of rehabilitation for patients. The family is the main source of informal support that plays an important role in providing long-term care assistance to dependent stroke patients, both in the form of functional, social and knowledge assistance in fulfilling the Activity of Daily Living (ADL), so it is important for families to have knowledge of stroke patient care. the good one. This study aims to determine the factors related to the knowledge of post-hospitalization stroke patients, including age, education, occupation, gender, nursing experience and sources of information. questionnaire, the number of samples as many as 30 respondents. The data analysis used was the bivariate person test, the Independent t test, the Kruskal Walllist test as a candidate test and the multivariate multiple linear regression test to assess the influenced of the dominant factor. Based on the data analysis, the results obtained that the variables that meet the requirements to continue to do multivariate analysis Linear regression test are education variables with a p value of 0.008, age with a p value of 0.19 and sources of information with a p value of 0.016 (p value < 0, 25). Based on the multivariate data analysis, the linear regression test showed that the education variable has a dominated influence on knowledge with a p value of 0.04 (p value <0.05), with a linear regression equation y = 0.646-0.109 and a coefficient determination (R2 ) 0.350 which means that the education variable contributes to influence knowledge by 35.0% while 65.0% is influenced by other factors. The conclusion in this study is that the education variable is the most dominant variable influencing family knowledge in providing care to stroke patients after hospitalization.
