Abstract

Early childhood learning certainly cannot be separated from writing activities. Both writing identities, words that have been taught by the teacher, and also crossing out assignments given by the teacher. However, in reality, when starting to write, children who have just started school still experience difficulties both when holding a pencil and also from the results of the child's scribbles. Starting from this, this research aims to find out how the pre-writing learning strategy at RA Al Huda Pematangsiantar results in fairly good initial writing skills every year. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification will be carried out. The results of this research show that there is a pre-writing learning strategy packaged in several activities to produce fairly good initial writing skills in each child, especially when it comes to stimulating their fine motor skills.
