Jurnal Pengabdian Mitra Masyarakat (JURPAMMAS) menitikberatkan pada penerbitan artikel hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan penelitian diaplikasikan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang memiliki multidisiplin ilmu baik merupakan produk maupun metode. Abstract

Tidak semua daerah mengetahui dan memahami tentang batik baik secara teori ataupun praktek dalam  membuatnya termasuk salah satunya masyarakat Pelawi Utara Kabupaten Langkat. Oleh karena ketidaktahuan atau masih minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat dan adanya salah seorang pengusaha/pengrajin batik asal  Langkat tetapi memproduksi batik di Medan, maka hal inilah menjadi latar belakang terealisasinya kegiatan sosialisasi batik brandan di Kelurahan Pelawi Utara Kabupaten Langkat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat  dilaksanakan dalam rangka Program Lembaga Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LPKM) UISU yang mana mengadakan kerjasama dengan PT. Gemilang Nusa Kreasindo atas dukungan dari Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Langkat. Adapun tujuan sosialisasi dan pelatihan untuk memberdayakan  masyarakat melalui mengenalkan dan pelestarian batik dengan kekhasannya sesuai kearifan lokal dan budaya dari Kabupaten Langkat. Metode kegiatan adalah sosialisasi batik (hal pandangan umum batik, motivasi, strategi bisnis batik dan pola pemgembangannya serta partisipasi BRI bersedia dalam upaya kemudahan dana ) dihadiri peserta dari kaum ibu rumah tangga dan para remaja putri. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan batik dapat menambah motivasi dan paham dalam mempelajari  jenis batik, khususnya batik bermotif melayu dimana merupakan program LPKM UISU. Semoga program dimaksud dapat terlaksana dengan harapan dapat mewujudkan masyarakat sejahtera karena pendapatan keluarga meningkat.

Abstract

Availability of safe access to drinking water is one aspect of the slums of Bandar Rahmat Village. To build a good clean water well, reference data or information is needed regarding the investigation of groundwater potential around Bandar Rahmat Village, Tanjung Tiram Batubara District. This activity conducts geoelectrical testing using the resistivity method to be able to determine the value of rock resistivity which will later be used as a determination of the depth of shallow aquifers and deep aquifers. With the data obtained at each sounding point and correlated with other sounding points so that an aquifer pattern will be formed in the area. This method is used to investigate the subsurface layer based on the level of rock resistivity with groundwater (aquifer) that occupies voids in the geological layer (soil). The vertical geoelectric survey (sounding) is intended to estimate the thickness of the layer containing groundwater. The results of this survey will recommend the right drill point that can be drilled to penetrate the estimated depth so that abundant groundwater will be obtained. The next step is to make a well at the drill point for the people of Bandar Rahmat Village to use for their daily needs.

Abstract

Sampah yang digunakan sampah tipe organik berupa daun basah serta batok kelapa. Alat yang digunakan membakar sampah adalah bentuk tungku pembakaran tertutup , alat pengepres briket arang, alat penyaring ukuran 50 mesh. Metode kegiatan penyuluhan kepada peserta dan praktek di lapangan. Untuk kegiatan penyuluhan dipaparkan mengenai pemanfaatan sampah untuk menghasilkan arang sehat melibatkan beberapa dosen UISU, para warga dan perangkat desa. Hasil pembakaran daun kering dan batok kelapa masing-masing menghasilkan serpihan arang kemudian ditumbuk sampai halus, disaring dengan saringan 50 mesh terlebih dahulu selanjutnya bubuk halus daun kering dan batok kelapa (masing-masing 1 kg) dicampur dengan cairan kanji (2 ons kanji +2 l air diaduk dan dimasak hingga matang jadi cairan) dan diaduk hingga merata.    Campuran briket daun kering dan batok kelapa yang sudah homogen dimasukkan kedalam cetakan alat pengepres. Briket arang hasil cetakan dikeringkan hari agar dapat digunakan sebagai bahan bakar. Dengan harapan,  kegiatan ini yang merupakan bagian program dari lembaga pengabdian kepada masyarakat UISU yang mana dapat dilakukan dengan sistem pengelolaan sampah secara mandiri berbasis masyarakat dengan tujuan menjadikan sampah sebagai sumber daya yang dapat menghasilkan suatu produk bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dengan konsekuensi mereduksi biaya masyarakat dalam konsumsi arang sehat dan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat melalui home industri.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) ) declared Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic or world emergency, because COVID-19 cases continue to increase and spread every day. ssince it was discovered at the end of 2019 all over the world including Indonesia. One of the locations and community groups that are vulnerable to COVID-19 transmission is in the traditional market. A place where many people gather, the layout or location of the traditional market is narrow and not well organized. Unhealthy air ventilation, the distance between traders is very close so it looks crowded, the duration of daily contact between traders and buyers often occurs very close. The Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of North Sumatra (FK UISU) has a concern for helping the government in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in community service activities. The academic community chooses the location of activities at the Halat Market Traditional Market, Medan City by providing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as distributing masks, face shields and gloves. This implementation is carried out with counseling about COVID-19 and the application of the 5M health protocol. The time of the activity was on September 9-10 2020. This activity received support from various parties, especially urban villages and traders. Through this activity, it is hoped that traditional markets will not become clusters of transmission of COVID-19 cases.

Abstract

Electrode shielded arc welding or better known as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is welding using an electric arc as a metal melt heater. An electric arc is formed between the shielded electrode and the base metal. Because of the heat from the electric arc, the base metal and the tip of the electrode melt and freeze together (Wryosumarto, 2004). With the ability of reason, humans are able to use metal as a very vital life aid. Various kinds of machine construction, buildings and others can be created in the presence of metal. The metal raises the need for assembly or joining technology. One such connection technology is by welding (welding). The purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Counseling for SMAW Welding Workshop Operators in Gang Buntu Village, Medan Timur District, Medan City are: So that the welding company makes procedures and rules for occupational health and safety in the workplace. Welding industry companies provide Personal Protective Equipment (ADP) for welding operators. Because the issue of occupational health and safety is very important to get attention because it is directly related to the productivity and efficiency of workers.

Abstract

Dari hasil pertanian yang dilakukan warga desa Aras diperoleh hasil samping salah satunya brangkasan jagung. Hasil samping ini belum banyak dimanfaatkan oleh warga desa, karena minimnya pengetahuan dalam hal pemanfaatan hasil samping pertania khususnya brangkasan jagung. Uraian di atas menjelaskan  bahwa hasil samping pertanian di desa Aras Kecamatan Air Putih Kabupaten Batubara berupa brangkasan jagung dari panen akhir yang jumlahnya tergantung kepada  jenis usaha tanaman jagungnya belum dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya. Hasil samping tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi sumber pakan ternak ruminansia melalui pelatihan kepada warga desa Aras, sehingga dapat menjamin ketersediaan pakan ternak sepanjang waktu dengan menggunakan metode fermentasi/pengomposan.

Abstract

Daniel Batu Mbelin is a problem of shortage in drainage of sewerage. In the rainy season, inundation often occurs in the school environment because water is not absorbed into the soil. The purpose of this activity is: to provide insight and guidance to the community, especially the school environment to raise awareness or provide input on the problem of puddles that often occur during the rainy season, which can adversely affect the school environment as well as the health of children and the community around the school. The method of implementing this activity is to conduct counseling and training in making infiltration holes or biopore channels. The result of this activity is that the community of SD RK ST Daniel Batu Mbelin is aware and understands the importance of managing water resources, both during the dry and rainy seasons and is able to practice how to make infiltration holes (Biopore holes).

Abstract

Abon catfish product is a very promising business to increase people's income in Penen Village, Kec. Sibiru-Blue North Sumatra. This shredded catfish business will help meet the high demand for fish in the market, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship in the fish farming sector. The stable catfish market has made catfish farming in demand. Catfish which is easy to develop is one of the supporting factors for the progress of catfish cultivation, and the level of catfish resistance to good weather changes supports the rapid development and convenience of farmers to make catfish farming the right choice for business. This community service aims to conduct a business feasibility study on the enlargement of catfish farms for the Penen Village community in terms of aspects related to the feasibility study. This feasibility study is expected to be able to find out the amount of investment funds needed, the existing market, and what obstacles may occur in the process of establishing this type of catfish processed business.

Abstract

Marriage is an inner and outer bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife with the aim of forming a happy and eternal family based on God's commandments. However, in practice, in carrying out domestic life, small and large fights often occur, which results in disturbed happiness in the household, even divorce. Other reasons for divorce are infidelity, adultery, irreconcilable quarrels, persecution, not providing a living, jealousy, and in the KHI the reasons for divorce are added, the husband violates taklik talak and changes religion or apostasy. Based on Article 39 Paragraph (1) of the Marriage Law, divorce can only be carried out before a court session, after the court has failed to reconcile the husband and wife. However, many people, such as people in Suka Beras Village, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, divorce only by saying the words divorce or writing it on stamped paper, not filing for divorce to the court, especially the religious court that applies to people of Islam. This is because many people do not understand the process of filing a divorce suit to the religious court, and assume divorce in Courts will require expensive fees, long administrative procedures, difficult trial procedures and so on, so the PKM team sees it necessary to carry out PKM in Suka Beras Village, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, with the title Process for Filing Divorce Claims in Court Religion. The method of activity is carried out in the form of Legal Counseling. The results of this PKM are that the Suka Beras Village community understands the process of filing a divorce suit to the religious court, and the conclusion is that the Suka Beras Village community does not understand the Process for Filing Divorce Lawsuits at the Religious Courts, and does not understand the consequences law arising from divorce, and it is necessary to increase Legal Counseling with the same material.
