Abstract

The growth and development of toddlers is influenced by hereditary and environmental factors. Genetic factors, biologically have strong influences on toddlers’ growth in their early years of life. While psychologically, a good interpersonal relation of pregnant women with their families will make them more ready to undergo the pregnancy and childbirth. On the other hand, socially, the level of parental education might affect the nutrition intake and parenting patterns. For the economic factor, the level of family income and their ability to provide sufficient nutrition input might affect the nutritional status during gestation. The nutrition input during pregnancy highly contributes to the fetus growth and development. A poor nutrition input during gestation might cause an Intrauterine Growth Retardation (IUGR) and growth and development disorder. This study aimed to analyze the bio-psychosocial and economic factors of gestation period on toddler growth and development. This is a correlational analytic study with 80 mothers and toddlers as the sample. The data was analysed using univariat, bivariate with Chi square and multivariate with logistic regression. The results show that the statistically significant independent variables which influence the growth and development of toddlers are the mother height (p = 0.001), LILA (p = 0.008), family income (p = 0.007), infant birth weight (p = 0.009) and family support (p = 0.013). While the statistically insignificant independent variable is the mother level of education (p = 0.086).

Abstract

The mother's struggle after giving birth takes a long time. One of them is to restore a fresher and more relaxed body shape.Because it cannot be denied, after birth the body will feel weak because of the energy released. The muscles that feel are usually tense, especially for women who give birth normally. This condition is of course intolerable, special care is needed to restore the mother's body to recovery.Solus Per Aqua (SPA) postpartum is one way to restore body shape.Solus Per Aqua (SPA) massage can be useful to improve blood circulation and restore the body to be firmer and make the body more comfortable and relaxed. This study aims to determine the Solus Per Aqua (SPA) Massage in mothers can reduce complaints during postpartum. The type of this research is quasi-experimental using a pretest and posttest design by treating the research subject. The samples in this study were 20 mothers who came to Mombykids from day 2 to 14.The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The variables in this study were spa massage and complaints during postpartum.Data collection was carried out using  checklist and questionnaire.Data processing was performed using the "Wilcoxon" statistical test with a significance level of 0.05.The results of this study showed that complaints of mothers before spa massaging experienced complaints during the postpartum period including postpartum pain 25 %, non-smooth milk production 60%,  stress 15%, and almost 75% of mothers felt relaxed / comfortable after spa massaging. This study concluded that there is a significant effect of spa massage in reducing complaints during the postpartum period. For the next researchers, because of the limitations in conducting this research, the variables were  studied in general,it is expected that next research can expand the research into the variables studied, for example those related to uterine involution, lactation, or postpartum exercise and there may be new findings that need to be reexamined.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is one of the most common disorders in pregnant women in Indonesia. The Government has made efforts to overcome this problem, however, the rate of anemic mothers remains high. Rosella (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) is considered able to increase the hemoglobin levels in pregnant mothers. To analyze the effect of Rosella flower on the increase of Hemoglobin level in pregnant women receiving Fe tablet. This study was a quasy experiment with pretest-posttest control group design conducted in January 2020 in the working area of Ratu Agung Community Health Center. Thirty-two participants were selected using accidental sampling, which assigned in the experiment and control group. All samples were pregnant women in the third trimester and receiving iron tablets. Independent t-test and paired t-test were used for data analysis. The paired t-test obtained a p-value of 0.00 (<0.05), indicated that there was an increase of hemoglobin levels in both experiment and control group. The mean increase of hemoglobin levels in the control group was 0.59 gr and in the experiment group was 1.11. The hemoglobin levels in the experiment group were higher than the levels in the control group. The independent t-test obtained a p-value of 0.241 (> 0.05) indicating that there wasn't a significant difference of mean of hemoglobin levels between the control group and the treatment group. The consumption of rosella combined with Fe tablet showed a significant increase of hemoglobin levels compared of pregnant women. Therefore,

Abstract

Renal Disease was a chronic disease that the most attacking people in Indonesia. Damage to this vital organ in the human body greatly affected a person's health condition, one of which was anemia. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Durante hemodialysis PRC transfusions on hemoglobin levels. The method used was Pre-experimental design, with the One group pre-post test design approach. With a sample of 49 patients who underwent regular hemodialysis at RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Data were obtained by direct observation. Processed by computerized methods with a statistical t-test, the significance level (α) was 0.05. The study results showed that the hemoglobin levels of the pre-Durante hemodialysis PRC transfusion patients were 4-5 mg/dl (53.06%), and the hemoglobin levels of the post-Durante hemodialysis PRC transfusion patients were 6.1-7 mg/dl (34.69%). The results of statistical tests showed that there was an increase in hemoglobin levels in patients who received Durante hemodialysis PRC transfusion by 1.22 mg/dl because p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 (α) means that there was an effect. It could be concluded that the delivery of Durante hemodialysis PRC transfusion could help increase hemoglobin levels. This finding was very helpful for chronic Renal Disease patients undergoing hemodialysis, who have been using erythropoietin preparations because PRC transfusions were cheaper and more effective when compared to using erythropoietin preparations

Abstract

Injectable DMPA contraception can cause changes in lipoprotein metabolism. Changes in fat metabolism occur because of the hormonal influence of progesterone, causing disruption of the balance of lipid profiles in the body. The change in serum lipid profile (trgliseride, total cholesterol, HDL and LDL) in long-term use of DMPA is a risk factor for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The purpose of this study was to look at the description of the lipid profile at 3 months injection acceptors. The design of the study was descriptive. The population in this study was 76, the number of samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in this study was 30. Examination of the lipid profile was carried out with an enzymatic colorimetric (cholesterol oxidase method / CHOD PAP). The results of lipid profile examination showed that 13.33% had high cholesterol levels, 3.33% had high triglyceride levels, 13.33% had high HDL levels, 20% had high LDL levels and 3.33% have very high LDL levels. The conclusion of this study was long term use of DMPA injection contraception could cause changes in the lipid profile, so it is recommended for acceptors who want to use contraception in the long term to use MKJP as an option so as not to affect the fat profile in the body.
