Abstract

The enclosure process of bundengan musical instruments that took place at Selomerto Wonosobo 2 JuniorHigh School as an effort to inherit traditional arts to the next generation. The inheritance of bundenganmusical instruments at the school includes elements of enculturation and the process of socializationthrough educational facilities. The efforts of enculturation of bundengan musical instruments in WonosoboSelomerto 2 Middle School were actualized through various activities. The support and role of appreciationfrom the community and government institutions in collaboration with SMP Negeri 2 Selomerto in reintroducing the use of bundengan musical instruments in ceremonial and ceremonial events provides spacefor appreciation and fulfillment of students' needs for their existence, the existence of musical instruments,schools and students and the community. The use of social media, and print media, is one of the culturaltransmission media in informing and becoming a form of internalization. This research is qualitativeresearch, which is carried out using survey methods; observations, in-depth interviews (independentinterviews), documentation, and literature studies that refer to the concept of cultural enculturation.

Abstract

Tanpa adanya suara bass, musik akan terdengar terlalu kering dan tidak bulat. Meskipun begitu,pada kenyataannya, menjadi pemain bass adalah sesuatu yang tidak mudah untuk dijalani. Jangkauan nadayang dihasilkan dari instrumen guitar bass dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Pertama, adalah jumlahdari fretboard yang terdapat pada instrumen bass. Kedua, adalah jumlah senar yang terdapat pada instrumenbass. Berbeda dengan gitaris, kebanyakan pemain bass biasanya memang tidak menggunakan efek basspada routing sinyal mereka.Namun, hal ini tidak berlaku umum karena ada beberapa aransemen lagu yang membutuhkan efekbass tertentu agar klop dengan dinamika atau maksud lagu tersebut. Di Indonesia ternyata terdapat sebuahkomunitas sekaligus wadah tempat berkumpulnya para pemain alat musik bass atau bassist dari seluruhIndonesia yaitu Indonesian Bass Family (IBF). Harry Toledo (Azharianto Akha), salah satu pemain basssenior di Indonesia membentuk Indonesia Bass Family (IBF) pada tahun 2010, yang bertujuan untukmempertemukan para bassist muda dengan para seniornya dalam satu wadah komunitas tempat berbagipengalaman bermain, belajar bermusik dan hal lain yang diperlukan untuk menjadi musisi yang baik. Latarbelakang anggota IBF ini sangat beragam, bukan hanya mereka yang berprofesi sebagai bassist ataupunmusisi, namun ada juga profesi lain seperti pegawai kantoran, pebisnis, dll, namun memiliki kemampuanbermain bass.

Abstract

Vocal Technique of Qori’ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in Qur’anic Tilawatil Art as The First Winner in MTQ Competition at Binjai City in 1991. Study Program of Music Education. Sendratasik Department. Faculty of Language and Art. State University of Medan. 2018.This research aims to find out the vocal techniques of Qori'ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in the Qur'anic tilawatil art, Maqam used by Qori'ah Ustadzah Nurhamidah in tilawatil Qur'an, as well as the similarities and differences in the Qur'anic tilawatil vocal techniques with vocal singing techniques. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted at the residence of Ustadzah Nurhamidah on Jl. Gaperta Ujung Gang Wakaf No.7 Medan City. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be explained that the vocal technique of Ustadzah Nurhamidah in the tilawatil Qur'an art includes heating techniques before appearing in the Al-Qur'an reading competition by observing 4 (four) elements, namely: articulation, breathing, resonance, and appreciation. Besides that, the maqam used by Ustadzah Nurhamidah in tilawatil Qur'an in Surah An Nisa chapter 1-5 is 3 maqam, namely: maqam bayyati, maqam Rast, and maqam Hijaz. Furthermore, the prominent difference is in the position of the body when doing breathing, in singing the position of the body standing or sitting, but in the Qur'anic tilawatil the body position have to sit. In addition, both of them have the same vocal technique but it's just a different way of practicing.

Abstract

The results of the study prove that the Didong Banan in SMAN 8 Takengon Central Aceh has beenestablished since 2011 and was stopped in 2015 and reopened in 2016, Didong Banan extracurricularactivities have increased from year to year, at the beginning of the opening only students followed theexisting songs and now students can create their own songs through spontaneity, the method used indidong banan extracurricular is lecture method, project teaching method, discussion method, pono banoemethod, ward method, and dewey method. The rhythm pattern in Didong Banan is divided into three,namely rhythm of behavior, rhythmic rhythm, and rhythm of the pillow.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the selection of materials in making Teganing musicalinstruments, reviewed from the process of making Teganing, organological studies ofTeganing musical instruments, and reviewing the functions of Teganing musical instrumentsin the Gayo community in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The theories used in thisresearch are organology theory, musical instrument theory, Teganing theory, and musicfunction theory. This research was conducted on August to October 2018 on the streetPegasing Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The method in this study is descriptivequalitative. The sample in this study amounted to two people, one artist and one Teganingcraftsman. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of this study explain that Gayo Teganing is made of bamboo (grind) Regen andrequires a long time for the manufacturing process. Teganing is a musical instrument playedby hitting it with a stick (Pegeul) on the string with the right hand and the left hand hittingthe Teganing body instead of repa'i or gegedem as a behavior. The production of GayoTeganing sound produced by the body of the tool itself is present in resonance (vibration)and also the quality of the bamboo used. Functions contained as emotional expressions,entertainment at various levels of socialism, symbolic representation, physical responsetools, reinforcement of social norm conformity, contribute to continuity and cultural stability,supporting social integration.
