Pemuatan suatu artikel diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan konsep keilmuan dan aplikasinya atau pada pemahaman pendidikan di Indonesia. Abstract

Several phenomenon of water pollution was happened in Indonesiaan because of pullotants such as detergent, mercury, oil, acid rain, and microbes. The effects of water pollutant showed dangerous to human life.The Subject matter of science about water pollution can be introduced in group of science containet about water pollution in personal and social perspective, which is divided into subject matter group of grade 5 of primary school - grade 2 of junior high school, and subject matter group of grade 3 junior high school - grade 3 of senior high school. As science subject matter, it will be much better for student whend teacher choose subject mater about pollution that has strong relationship with personal and social environment  of students.

Abstract

Developing fair and objective test had been developed in many ways, but hey would solve huge educational problem. Simulation study conducted by Hableton and Cook, inspired ths study to looked for evidence the effect of test length and sample size on robustness of item parameters estimation. This article gave more evidences in describing the effect of tst length and sample size on robustness of item parameters estimationin norm reference evaluation of item response theory.Hypothecical data used in this study was generated by DGEN applicatioan program. Test length was modeled in 15 and 55 items that represent short and long test form. The sample size effect was tested by three different sample sizee, 271, 605, and 1.999 to estimate 1,2,and 3 parameter according to the rule of thumb.

Abstract

By using the power resources available at school, teachir are hoped to have knowledge and skills in developing the teaching and learning of physics in order to make learners acheve competency through many kinds of learning activities. A teaching and learning scenario is needed as an operational teachers guide in developing both the learning process in class and outdoor learning activities. The problem is that most teachers of physics still have insufficient skills to develop a competency-based teaching and learning scenario of physic. This artikel is to help them with a reding material that may increase thir comprehension of and knowledge in designing and developing such a scenario. They will benefit by having better skills in and knhwledge of desingning and developing that kind of scenario.The teaching and learning of physics must be directed to developing not only student competency in the cognitive domain but also thir competencies in the psychomotor and affective domain.

Abstract

The radio as a type of audio media represents a product of communicatioan technology coming into birth as media of entertainment, informatioan, and education. Study and development on such media form the sake of the three fungtion are based on audience characteristics, program materials, and technikal develompent related to the technology to make communicationa occur more effectively. As one purpose of the utilization of the radio media is education, the utilazation and development of such audio medi for education have actually been going on a long time in Indonesia. But, though research results and empirical evidence related to the utilization of the radio media i Indonesia have once expreienced thir times of glory. they have now been decreasing.Trends or inclination factors in the current fast growing audio-visual media are not the only causes of the decreasing utilization of the readio media in education.

Abstract

This article is about a research whose objectives are (1) to identify the factors causing teachers not to use the environment as a learning resource, (2) to discover the learning prosess of social sciences by developing environmental learning resources, (3) to discover the learning pattern in learning social sciences at elemntary school by developing environment learning resources, (4) to increase the process skill in learning social science, (5) to discover to class model of environmental advantages as a learning resource of social sciences, and (6) to increase student learning outcame in learning social sciences.This research used an approach employing an actian research conducted by PGSD lecturers collaboratively and elementary school teachers as partners. The calss action design employed spiraling cycles.

Abstract

The Indonesian society is a multicultural one consisting of a variety of ethnic groups with a variety of languages and cultures of thir own. It implies not only a richness and strength but also a potential for conflict. Such potential is also implied in the contry's relationships with other countries; in the communication between the peoples concernet, misundaerstandings may results due to differences in culture.To understand and respond to the differences peacefully, it is important for the peoples concernet to have multicultural education, formally or informally. Such education can be integrated into some relevant lessons in class. Multicultural education should not only teach ethnical cultural symbols, such as, tranditional houses, dress, dances, or songs; but also invlve transformation and action.In the implementation of such multicultural education, there must be chalenges coming especially from teachers and other educators at schools who underestimate multicultural education while the educational resources involved need to be free from bias and stereotyping rlated to ethnical, relegious, gender, social class, anad ubarn-rural )or cityh-village) differences.

Abstract

Ths article concerns a research aimed at improving the quality of learning using self-assessment in the class of Machining Process 3 with the improvement indicated by the students activeness in learning followed by improvement in their performance.The research was a classroom action research consisting of three cycles and conducted on 15 students taking the Machanial Engineering Course PRogram. The data were collated through observation and self-assessment. Then they ware analyzed qualitatively and descriptively.The result indicates that implementation of self-assessment can improve students activeness in learning as well as enhance hhier learning performance. It is suggested that self-assessment be implemented in a class of a larger group of students
