Abstract

This paper aims to describe the utilization of open space in Plemburan Tegal,Ngaglik Sleman. This description that will be the basis to determine the utilizationpattern of green open space in accordance with land use regulation is done by thefollowing steps: identified land use, identified existing physical condition of the openspace, identified residents activities in open space areas, and finally perform trendanalysis to determine the pattern use of green space utilization. The study wasconducted in inductive approach as well as qualitative descriptive method. Theresults show that Plemburan Tegal has adequate open space of 33.13% of totalarea, consist of green area 20.57% and paved area 12.56%. Based to the openownership, the open space classified into 45.74% belongs to the privat while54.26% belongs to the public. Based on the land use pattern and activities, openspace of Plemburan Tegal is classified into following used: adult gathering activities(RTH1), community hall completed by outdoor sport activities of tennis and volleyball (RTH 2), playground activities for children (RTH 7), individual-based plantations, and vacant open space.Keyword: Green open space, Land use

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out local scouring at abutment, and theeffectiveness of ground-sill in the reduction of the depth, by reducing the basicchannel degradation occurs. This research conducted in hydraulics laboratoryDepartment of Civil and Education planning, Faculty of Engineering, UniversitasNegeri Yogyakarta. Three models of ground-sill distance show that a/Dp =2, groundsillcan effect to reducing depth and length of scouring. The result show that a/Dp =2is optimum distance betwen a/Dp =3 and a/Dp =4 respectively.Keyword: abutmen, ground-sill

Abstract

This research was meant to find out Capability of a system campusdrainage area at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Karangmalang. Karangmalangbecomes very strategic because of An influence on the flooding during the rainSubsidence groundwater as a source of clean water in the summer. The colomboarea that is part of the campus Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (the gate of UNY), aslong as it has been known as a flood-prone area. This research was conducted withsurvey approaches in the field for 4 months. The fist step, evaluation dischargeoccurring due to rain in kawasan UNY campus. The second evaluation of drainagechannels in the drain the ability of surface water with the rational method. The testresult showed that the drainage system Was not able to fulfill a discharge of waterthat occurs with 55,77mm/jam or Rain reëxamined high by period of 10 years. Butwhen most of the rain water (from roof) Distributed into infiltration well, therefore theneed of infiltration well as 388 pieces????Keyword: drainage, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta

Abstract

The river is the lowest part of the earth’s surface in the form of groovesextending from upstream toward downstream. Flow characteristics was influencedby the morphology condition. Flow Modelling was performed as a first step to find outthe flow characteristic. The aim of the research is to identify the flow characteristicsof river. The research was conducted in reaches of Bedog river, from Pendowo weiras upstream boundary to Kadisono weir as downstream boundary. SoftwareQUAL2K was applied in the modelling. The modelling was conducted in dry seasonand wet season. The Bedog river was devided into 10 reaches with each crosssectional area was simplified to trapezium type. The Manning roughness was usedas tool of calibration and verification in flow modelling. The stream roughness, thatrepresented by the Manning roughness in steady non uniform flow, considering themorphology condition and flow characteristic, including depth and velocity. TheManning roughness due to the flow modelling was not the same with the trueManning roughness to nature. This condition was caused by flow modellingmechanism.

Abstract

ABSTRACTColum reinforcement is essential in a structure. When a column is weak, itwill cause total failure to the structure. This study examined the behavior of columnreinforced with mortar jacketing method and wire netting. The objective of this studywas to identify the contribution of the reinforcement to the shear strength and columnductility. Four column specimens were made. They consisted of one original column(as comparison) in square shape of 150 x 150 mm, and 700 mm height andfoundation plate in 1200 x 700 mm with 250 mm thickness and three specimens insame dimensions and strengthened by mortar jacketing to become column withround section in 220 mm diameter and 730 mm height. Longitudinal reinforcementand wire netting in 1.7 mm diameter and consisted of small squares of 25 mm x 25mm with 1 layer strengthening (KP-1). Two layers (KP-2), and 3 layers (KP-3) wereused as the mortar jacketing. Sika Grout 215 New was used as the filler. Loadingtype used was constant axial and cyclic lateral to simulate earthquake by using thedisplacement control method. The results showed that in KP-1, KP-2 and KP-3reinforced column, their lateral load capacities increased by 90.263%, 101.985%,124.196%, respectively, than the average original column (KA-1). Addition of wirenetting for KP-1, KP-2, and KP-3 showed general increase of displacement at amaximum lateral load in compare to the original column (KA-1). Drift ratio atmaximum load at KA-1 was 2.07%. As for KP-1dan KP-3, the maximum loadswere 2.52 % and 2.924%, respectively. However, the drift ratio of KP-2 was1.192%, or smaller than 1.50%. The stiffness values obtained from the testsfor KA-1, KP-1, KP-2 and KP-3 were 3.92 KN/mm, 9.04 KN/mm, 9.01kN/mm,and 8.14kN/mm, respectively. Ductility factor (μ) of KA-1, KP-1, KP-2, and KP-3were 5.451, 6.273, 3.938, and 6.667, respectively. Thus, more netting wire showedincreasing ductility, except for KP-2 which had the smallest ductility in compare toother specimens. Based on the test results and the regulation of ACI 374.1-05.200,the reinforced column could be used for structures with maximum R (responsemodification factor) of 6.Keywords : Shear collapse, Mortar jacketing, netting wire, cyclic load
