Abstract

The purposes of this activity are: (1) Enhance the ability of teachersto create a fun learning atmosphere for students. (2) Cultivating teachers toimplement innovative learning, creative, effective and fun in every activitypembelajaran. (3) Enhancing professional competence and pedagogy ofteachers, especially in implementing innovative learning models.The method used consists of (a) Extension is intended to increaseknowledge and understanding of the innovative learning models, (b)training, which is done by giving a chance to practice learning models thathave been received. (c) Assistance, intended as a follow-up of this serviceactivities. Assistance to teachers can be advisory to the problems faced inschools.The results of this activity are: (1) 90% of participants attending thetraining and mentoring diligently performed 4 times. (2) 75% are able todraw up lesson plans on the subject matter by using a model of innovativelearning.

Abstract

This activity aims to: (1) Provide advice to the public about theutilization of biogas from manure residue for the benefit of the farmers andranchers; (2) Provide an alternative solution of biogas production technologiesthat do not require farmers and ranchers to construct a plant; (3)Provide information to the public, especially peddlers, on the ergonomic andmobile aspects of portable digester system in supporting new entrepreneurs;(4) Provide trainee for manufacturing and processing skills of portabledigester system to farmers and ranchers, especially in Jatisarono Village.The training was conducted by lecturing, discussion-information,workshops, and limited dissemination. This activity involves 4 students and37 cattle breeders from 40 targeted participants. The involved cattleranchers are from Jatisarono Nanggulan Kulonprogo. Activities also involveLocal Supervisor of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (PPL) and villageofficials. Implementation activities began on June 22, 2012 and went onuntil the workshop stage.In general, the training was successful and on target. It can be seenfrom the increasing knowledge and understanding of the manufacture ofportable cattle ranchers digester system at each stage of the PPM. It wasclearly visible from their skills to produce the PDS during the workshop.

Abstract

AbstrakActivity in this program are to disseminate the use of cornhusk, totrain suvenir creation of cornhusk, to develop entrepreneurial motivation(Business Motivation Training), and to accompany in marketing andpioneered the establishment of a new business group.This event was attended by 30 participants PKK members PulutanWetan Village. The skill set include: preparation techniques cornhuskingredients, how to cultivate cornhusk become flowers for the table, flowersto decorate the tissue, making brooches and ornaments for the hairpin.In the process of mentoring has formed two new business groupsnamely "Mawar" and "Melati". To the accompaniment of marketing, hasestablished partnerships with local saler flowers in Solo. The results indicatethat the evaluation of the activities of the quality of the products and theirdesign is still lacking. Besides business groups that have been formed yetpowerful and yet function optimally by members. For it is expected therewill be ongoing activities aimed at improving product design, finishingtechniques, marketing management and institutional strengthening of thebusiness group has been formed.

Abstract

The purpose of this devotion is to increase the efficiency of theproduction process of bamboo craft with a round stick making machine.Gains derived by a craftsman can accelerate the process of making bamboohandicraft. Gains derived by devotees is to help solve problems encounteredin the process of manufacture of handicraft artisans.The process of making machines include: planning, manufacture,and testing. The material used is steel square profile 3 cm in size, profilesteel elbow size 3 cm, the steel shaft of 64 mm diameter, Alluminium tomake puley, 15 mm thick wooden board, and 8 mm thick steel plate. Thetools used to make machines include lathes, drilling machines, sawsmachine, and electric welding machines. Machine performance testing doneby measuring the sticks diameter and length are made, and measure the timerequired.The results of the manufacturing process is to have made a roundstick making machine with long dimension of 90 mm, width 50 cm and 65cm high. The machine can make a stick of bamboo with a diameter of 3 mmand 4 mm. Long bamboo stick, not limited or made in accordance with thelength of the cut material. Machine capable of making a round bamboo stickwith a uniform size within 2 minutes to 50 cm long stick.

Abstract

Activities aim to: (1) improve knowledge of the impact of wastepollution targets tofu production and utilization, (2) increasing knowledgeabout the application of technology preservation objectives in the utilizationof know and disposal, (3) improve the skills targeted in developing wasteprocessing technology know and preservation (freezing, drying, and fermentation)into nuggets knows, flour tofu, tofu crackers, soy tofu and natade soya, and (4) improve skills in applying technology targets packaging.What activities are Ngasem Hamlet Village Sindumartani NgemplakSleman district. Model form of training activities to target as many as 35people representing housewife dasa homestead. In the training conductedfrom August to September 2012. Implementation of training six times faceto face with the details: (1) continued opening theory about the impact ofwaste processed tofu and development of technology-based preservation, (2)processing tofu crackers, (3) processing soy tofu, (4) processing of nata desoya, (5) processing nugget tofu and tofu flour and (6) packaging productsand evaluation of results.The results showed that the implementation of the training objectiveshave the knowledge, skills and good response. This is supported also by theamount of face-to-face attendance at each show more than 75% attendance.86.7% target already has a good level of knowledge prior to training andincreasing to 100% after training. With medium and high categories. Thusthe goal was to understand the material being taught and understand theimpact and utilization of waste out through simple preservation technology.The results of the evaluation of the target skills also have shown success. Itis seen if the lowest value obtained is 78 which means it exceeds the valueof the lowest standard 70. Evaluation of these skills included in thepackaging. Thus, the leading PPM goals set have been achieved all goodknowledge and skills. The results of the evaluation of a given targetresponse showed that 30% target stated it useful and 70% said veryrewarding.

In Bobung Putat,Pathuk, Gunungkidul almost all its resident work as worker of wood batikand mask. Crafting of wood batik and mask have become home industry andas especial living to society. Mask product and wood batik of Bobung havecan penetrate market export and domestic market. For the market of exportingBrasilia, Singapore, India, Canada, Belgia, Malaysia, Australian,Japan, New Selandia, and America is export market from mask product andwood batik of Bobung. Solo, Bali, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Bogor,Batam and Jakarta is domestic market from mask product and wood batik ofBobung. Abstract

This activity aims to provide experience in white oyster  mushroomcultivation and to offer alternative business opportunity for recovering localeconomy through white oyster mushroom cultivation in the hamlet ofPandan, Wukirsari, Cangkringan, Sleman, DIY.Practice, mentoring, and discussion form the main methods in thisactivity that consist of constructing mushroom house, preparing the growingmedia, sterilization method, mushroom inoculation, and maintenancemethod during incubation.This activity provides practical experience in white oyster mushroom(Pleuretus.sp) cultivation for local community in the hamlet of Pandan,Wukirsari, Cangkringan, Sleman, DIY. Within 37 days of incubation, 168kilograms of wet white oyster mushroom has been harvested and manymore in the next three months. The profit gained in 4 months is around Rp790.000,-, therefore this activity could be an alternative businessopportunity for the local community. Factors that need to be taken intoaccount during incubation are room temperature (26ᵒC), lighting, humidityof media (60%), room humidity (80-90%), and disease and pests control.

Abstract

Basically this activity (Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat) haspurpose that is given to the sains teachers have to leads the unvisible andunauditory students so they can do Voice Thermometer well, in the Heat andTemperature lesson program. The Specific purposes of the activity are : (1)Leads the inclusive shcool teachers in the operation of Voice Thermometerin the realistic sains experiment, which is used by unvisible and unauditorystudents. (2) Write the experiments modules sheets to accommodateunvisible and unauditory students. (3) Make evaluation model of processesand products, that will be done by unvisible and unauditry students.The methods to plan the research use training in operation the VoiceThermometer and make the module sheets for unvisible and unauditorystudents, besides that also discuss the implementation sains learning bycontructivism approach and design the learning strategies. As the membersof the research are the inclusive school teachers for the unvisible andunauditory students in Yogyakarta. The sample of learning process is doneby students of Yakatunis Inclusive Junior High School (Sekolah LuarBiasa) and SLBN 2 Bantul. And the training research is held in two places,SLBN 1 Bantul and SLBN 2 Bantul.The results of the research and training activity are : (1) The Sainsteachers of inclusive school have been skilled in Voice Thermometeroperation. It gives quantitative measurement to accommodate the learning ofHeat and Temperature for unvisible and unauditory students. (2) Sainsteachers of inclusive schools can write the practce modules of Heat andTemperature for unvisible and unauditory students. (3) Sains Teachers ofinclusive schools can apply the evaluation model of process and product ofHeat and Temperature learning for the unvisible and unauditory students.The teachers appreciate of the new leraning equipment and learning strategythat have been developed by the research team, so the teachers desired toattend the next learning as they had been done before, and they suggest thelearning media that has been developed by the research team is usefull tolead the Sains learning.
