This aim of research is to know how the comprehension of elite religion in Malang City in giving zakat profession. This research method used qualitative research stand on social construction Peter L. Berger theory. The result of this research is all research subjects (Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama’, and Majelis Ulama’ Indonesia) stated that the law of profession zakat is a must. This is based on general lafadz about agriculture zakat command. On determining nisab for zakat profession, all think that zakat profession is being qiyas by gold zakat and commercial. The only is there are differences of percentage. Muhammadiyah said the percentage of zakat profession is 2.5 %. But Nahdlatul Ulama’ said the percentage of zakat profession start from 2,5%-3,3%. Besides, MUI stated there are two views, they are 2,5 % and 2,5% - 5% for ihtiyath. The time to give zakat could be direct when getting income or collecting in one year.Key words: zakat profession, income, nisab, haul.

Conflicts between ethnic, religions, race and inter-community (SARA) especially between religion members in Indonesia is still going on. It gives image that religion tolerant between members is still low. In the fact, it is not only among different religion but also it is among one religion, especially Islamic member, like physically conflict between Sunni and Syi’ah in Bangil Jawa Timur 2010. So, it needs quantitative research to survey the tolerant value in checking the different mazhab fiqh especially for young generation as like student. So that the problems of this research are: (1) is there any relationship between gender in toleranting mazhab fiqh on the new students of The State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim (Maliki) the academic year2011/2012? This research comes from a thoughtfulness of any problems about developing competence of pedagogic teacher in MIN Malang. This research tried to answer problems about developing competence of pedagogic of Islamic teacher doing in MIN Malang 1, and also the positive implication into the increasing of learning quality. The developing competence of pedagogic that was done are: (a) arranging developing planning based on teacher evaluation, (b) doing developing competence of pedagogic through any activities and research of PTK, aim to increase the teachers mutual in learning management, (c) increasing effort, done by government, islam school and especially the teachers indeed. The developing competence of pedagogic of Islamic teachers in MIN Malang 1 implicate positive to the increasing of quality in learning, this was signed by the indicators: a. there is reparation of learning process appropriate with demand of modern learning world, b. there is reparation of teacher mutual in learning so implicate to the mutual/ achievement the studying result of students, both academic and non-academic.Key words: developing, pedagogic competence, islamic teacher, MIN Malang 1

UIN Maliki Malang is one kind of Islamic University having concern and attention much to the formation of student character. This is marked by the spirit of UIN Maliki trying to deliver alumnus, having spiritual depth, big character, knowledge comprehensiveness, and professional ripeness. Those four concepts actually was appropriate with the grand design of character education developed by Kemendiknas, that is the growing of cognitive aspect, affective, conative, and psychomotoric. Those four concepts of UIN Maliki can also be grouped character education configuration into totality context of psychology process and social-cultural, they are: Spiritual and emotional development, intellectual development, Physical and kinestetic development, and Affective and Creativity development. The model of character education developed by UIN Maliki Malang create ulul albab frame as the basic. Inside of developing the students character, UIN Maliki Malang base on value of the existence of UIN and the vision, mission of the university. Theoritic base that is used as handle in developing character education ulul albab base is Islamic conception. The aim of character education based on ulul albab UIN Maliki Malang are: (1) shaping muslim having ulul albab values; (2) those values are religious, patient, sincere, tawakkal, tawadlu’, istiqamah, surrender, fair, honesty, soft hearted, high spirit, criticize, boarder education, can see natural and social phenomenon appropriately, caring, emphaty, tolerant, cooperation, professional; (3) becoming basic base inhabited all the implementation and academic activity in UIN Maliki Malang. There are night characters taking from ulul albab basic, they are: (1) Religius (patient, sincere, tawakkal, tawadlu’, istiqamah, surrender, fair, honesty, soft hearted, high spirit); (2) criticize (they like to ask) (3) having boarder knowledge; (4) can see natural and social phenomenon appropriately (smart); (5) caring others; (6) emphaty; (7) Tolerant; (8) cooporation; (9) Professional. Those nights characters be reduced again into five values developed in UIN Maliki Malang, they are: Jihad, Creatif, Inovative, Critis, Religius, Excellence and Smart shortly with J-CRES. The method used in shaping characters J-CRES ulul albab base through: (1) the education program blending pesantren and university; (2) Tarbiyah Ulul Albab lecturing; (3) Intrakurikuler, kokurikuler dan ekstrakulikuler activities.

There are three forces that drive the organization make a change, namely: (1) external forces, (2) the internal strength, and (3) change agent. This means that each change was influenced by three things and the three forces that have their respective roles and inter-related from each other. Changes in any uncertain terms directly running smoothly. And when there is dynamic development of various facets of life, change is a must. It is not easy to make changes from the status quo to progression, particularly those involving changes in mindset. The aim of this research are describtion of the correlation between religious orientation, locus of control dan psychological wel-being variables. The sample of this research are 77 students of the 10% all of the population of the students of Psychology Faculty of the Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim in Malang. The instrument in this research had been aplided by the religious orientation scala, locus of control scala and psychological wel-being scala. The describing of the data by descibtion analyzis for the subject of the research, and using the Product Moment Analizing for Correlation between the variables with SPSS 15.00 program. The data of this research shows that, the correlation betwenn religious orientation and psychological wel-being is xy = 0,350 p = 0,001. Its means is the correlation betwenn religious orientation and psychological wel-being (p0,050), and its mens is too internalized religious orientation of the sample its soo quick of the frecuency of psychological wel-being. And its mens is too externalized religious orientation of the sample its soo slowly of the frecuency of psychological wel-being.The correlation analyztion of religious orientation and locus of control is rxy =0,534, p=0,000. Learning Arabic is not that simply for the importance of getting language skill including istima’ skill (observing), kalam (speaking), qira’ah (reading) and kitabah (writing). The research was motivated by the difficulty of students studying Qawaid considered difficult and complex. The research aims to develop teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map and find out the learning process of students by using teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map for the college level. This research method using the R D (research and development). The results of this study were 1. development of teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map for the college-level teaching materials presented in the form of maps with different patterns of shape and color illustrations that have a major theme (primary) connected to the theme of the derivative and connected with each other accompanied by examples . 2. Use of these materials indicate that the Arabic language teaching materials qawaid based mind map can improve learning outcomes of students with average 78.59 / B +, and increase motivation to learn qawaid.Key words: bahan ajar, qawaid bahasa Arab, mind map

The purpose of this study is to compare job satisfaction and organizational commitment of employee’s Islamic banking based on biographical characteristics. Biographical characteristics are consists of age, gender, marital status, and education. Total sample in the research are 125 respondents. Data analysis is executed by independent samples t-test and Analysis of Varians (Anova) with SPSS 16 version. Based on the research indicate that employee job satisfaction is quitely different between men and women. Organizational commitment based on gender is quietly different too. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment of men are higher than women. Managerial implications of human resource management requires to enhance an organizational commitment and job satisfaction of Islamic banking women employeesKeywords: Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Islamic Bank

Objective of this study is to test wether the announcement of JII (Jakarta Islamic Index) composition change has information content and thus reacted by market as reflected in average abnormal return (AAR). The information content was tested using event study method to observe abnormal return surrounding JII composition change announcement day. Using data from JII since 2004 through 2010, the result of the study shows that there are abnormal return exist surrounding JII composition change announcement day. AAR is found statistically negative and significant different from zero for stock included-in and stock removed from JII. It indicates that the announcement having an information content. However, there is no significant difference of abnormal return found before and after announcement day. It might be caused by the regular timing of the composition change announcement and information leakage in form of “noise”. Thus, Indonesian stock market proves to be inefficient in its semistrong form.Keywords: JII composition change, shariah-compliant index, event study, abnormal return,market efficiency
