Abstract

Communication is the process of sending information from one place to another, howthe delivery of information have their own modes and methods. With the computerthe way of sending information is also adjusted to the principles and workings of thecomputer.But computers can not perform data transmission without a tool that can make it ableto carry out the process of data transfer. One of these tools is the IC is an IC 8251AUSART (Universal Synchronous / Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) is IC that isused to implement the information delivery process using serial synchronous /asynchronous.The advantage of using this chip is its ability to be programmed (programmable) inaccordance with the procedures contained in IC programming this 8251A.

Abstract

Skytel operations in Indonesia have access to data located in several separate cities,namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Denpasar and Medan. At the headoffice (Jakarta) terdapt two backbone, where a backbone is used to addressoperational problems (sending information) and the backbone, the other is used tohandle the administration. Each branch office is connected to one backbone, only thecentral office, which handles the operational backbone only, while the backbone thathandles all administrative issues held by the central office. In order for the localnetwork can access the branch office network backbone system of localadministration head office or vice versa, then the media needed to be able to connectthe computer networks of two or more of these. In this case the media is a computernetwork connecting Personal Computers (PCs) which are set as a router using theUNIX operating system.

Abstract

In this writing assignment is discussed about the system cache memory on the microcomputer system with memoi cache on the microprocessor that is useful to speed up computer performance. type of cache used is of type M-way set-associative caches on microprocessors is a Two-way associative cache. Suitable for this type of cache operations multiprosesing because relatively inexpensive and simple. Microprocessor has a separate cache memory data cache, for data and code for instruction cache.  The cache memory itself is a technique to improve overall system performance by combining a small random access memory with a large conventional RAM (which is slower but cheaper), so that would be obtained by high-speed memory that a large capacity with relatively cheap price.

Abstract

Building Automation System is a system that is used to control and monitor the equipment that existed at the storied building. Equipment commonly monitored as generator, chiller, pumps, AHU, lighting and so forth. To be more efficient in controlling the equipment, we need a planned program schedule will be easier to turn off or turn off the equipment. Schedule this program will control the lighting devices located on 9th floor of the basement until the chiller and control devices which only four are on the floor. All this equipment is planned to be lit on each day at 7:05 and off at 17:30 pm

Abstract

The data acquisition process with computers is generally done through a serial port (COM1 & com 2) with standard RS-232C interface. This process has a drawback, especially coverage data limited transmission distance. ADAM 4000 SERI is a collection of integrated modules for data acquisition process which is equipped with a microcontroller and capable of transmitting data in a standard RS-485/422 interface so as to overcome limitations of distance data transmission. This module serves to connect the sensor equipment of the computer. The main advantage of this module is its ability to control equipment from a remote sensor that allows for application in industry. This research aims to develop capabilities 4000 SERI ADAM in some form of control system design model water heater with ON-OFF method, design and controlling software. Hardware design consists of the input module 4011 ADAM, ADAM communications module 4520, module output 4021 ADAM, water heaters, drive relays and computers IBM PC XT / AT as a central controller. In the design software created using the C language in addition to functioning as a programmable controller is also to translate the instruction-instruction that is unique to the module ADAM 4000 Series while the program is only the procedures outlined in the flowchart.
