Abstract

Al Fatihah reflection Therapy (ART) is a theistic psychotherapy that shares characteristics with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) from Beck. However, the conceptualization and intervention emphasis differs in some ways. The ART has a vertical dimension (theistic) which uses the verses of Al Fatiha as a reflection of the changing thoughts, feelings, and behavior of individuals through restructuring cognitive, reading passages, and behavioral tasks. It is expected the ART can be applied, do research, and can be considered as a single intervention or additional interventionsfor Muslim clients.Keywords: Al-Fatihah, Reflection, Cognitive Restructuring, Verses Recitation, Behavioral Task.

Abstract

This case study research aimed to see the resilience of women victims of rape. Four respondents are women rape victims who lived in Aceh and were selected using purposeful sampling and snowball sampling methods. Snowball sampling based on certain parties who know the source and location of the repondents. Data were collected using interviews and observation methods. Data analysis was performed with a theme per-subject analysis. Data were analyzed by interpreting and summing up the results of the interview each respondent. Interview guide was developed based on the aspects of resilience by Bonanno (2004). The results showed that resilience of four subjects are different.Keywords: Resilience, Rape, Women Victims of rape

Abstract

The present study was aimed to examine the relationship between self-disclosure and marital satisfaction, and whether the relation between self-disclosure and marital satisfaction meditated by intimacy. The participants of study involved 110 individual marriedpeoples in Cilegon, Banten. As predicted, the result showed that self-disclosure was positively related to marital satisfaction. Furthermore, the result also showed that intimacy was mediator the relationship between self­disclosure and marital satisfaction. Implications and directions forfuture research were discussed.Keyword: Self-disclosure, intimacy, Marital Satisfaction.

Abstract

According to recent research, the heart is not only pumping blood but is a very complex organ. Recent studies indicated that the heart is able to think, feel, communicate. Furthermore, the heart is the organ that exceeds the ability of the brain intuitive. According to the Encyclopedia of Positive Psychology (Lopez,2009)   , the heart is able to gives the command more to the brain than the brain to the heart. Chapters in both Al-Quran and Tafseer briefly discusses the Qalb. Results of recent study confirmed the words of God in the Qur'an that the Qalb or heart is able to think, consider, regard, and decide.Key words: heart, brain, positive psychology

Abstract

This article is the result ofcontemplation about the concept ofmeaning of life. The meaning of life is very important in optimizing the function of humanity, especially when faced to a situation that is full load and pressure. The concept of meaning of life affects individual well-being and happiness. Psychologists, particularly positive psychologists, has been trying to formulate the concept of the meaning of life, however, the breadth and complexities of life make meaning of the concept definition and operationalization of this concept to be very diverse. This article gives an overview of the breadth of understanding of the meaning of life, definition, and operationalization of the meaning of life which has been formulated by experts.Keyword: meaning in life, situational meaning, personal meaning

Abstract

Sexual abuse is a serious crime because of its lasting impact on the victim. Perpetrators of sex crimes should be punished severely. However, background of sex offenders, such as age, would cause sex offender’s sentence to be reduced or just simply receive guidance. The purpose of this study was to look at the extent to which students are imprisonment or pro rehabilitation (endogenous variable). Additionally, age, severity of the crime were used as exogenous variables. 240 students were involved in this study. The analysis of the data using structural equation models showed agreement between data and theory. Furthermore, the results of regression analysis showed that criem severity variable has a strong influence on the pro rehabilitation, while the age of sex offenders has an indirect effect on the pro sentenced to prisonKey word: Criminal Responsibility, seriousness of crime, punitiveness

Abstract

This study examined the forgiveness related to demographic factors such as: age, gender, and education level. The subjects were 335 who are yogyakarta city residents (Java), Moslem, male andfemale, aged teens, early adulthood, middle adult, elderly, which were selected using stratified random cluster sampling technique. Instruments using the forgiveness scale compiled by researchers. Analysis of data using mean difference test (t-test) and ANOVA . The results showed: (a) there is no difference in forgiveness between men and women, (b) there is no difference in forgiveness between adolescence, ear It adults, middle adults, and the elderly, and (c) there is a difference in forgiveness, the education variable. Forgiveness on Higher Education is a higher education than forgiveness on SMP /MTs and SMA /SMK/MAKeywords: forgiveness, age, sex, level of education
