Abstract

Sweet star fruit (Carambola averrhoa L.) is one type of fruit plants that is widespread in Indonesia. Sweet star fruit contained high concentration of vitamin A and vitamin C. Utilization of sweet star fruit as nutraceuticals products that are rich in vitamin A and C are still relatively rare. Demands of people who want to get an interesting kind of preparation and easy to use push of this study which aims to produce gummy candies. Preparations of gummy candies was made in 5 formulations based on a combination of gummy base (mannitol and corn syrup) with a ratio of 50%: 50%, 40%: 60%, 25%: 75%, 60%: 40%, 75%: 25%. Making sweet star fruit juice using freeze drying method then organoleptic test was conducted on the sweet star fruit juice. Testing physical properties of gummy candies include organoleptic test, weight uniformity test, and preference level (hedonict test) by the respondent and then the test results were compared with the requirements in the literature. Formula 3 with gummy base containing ratio of mannitol:corn syrup (25%: 75%) is the best formula that is compared with other formula, with a coefficient of variation for weight uniformity test was 2.09%.

Abstract

WhatsApp is a multiplatform instant messenger with the most users worldwide by 2013. The popularity of WhatsApp has raised the need of better understanding on how it stores chat archives within the application. This knowledge is useful in term of mobile forensics purposes. In this paper, the latest version of WhatsApp applications in two major platforms, Android and iOS are used in order to explore the file systems and database, to learn where and how the messages and other files are stored, and then to analyze the strength and the weakness of this implementation. The main finding of this research is that WhatsApp uses different file system and database structure in its iOS and Android application. While the database in iOS platform is well structured and makes use of good normalization, the database in Android platform is much simpler and stored as encrypted file within the file system. Furthermore, this research also shows that it is relatively easy to recover all messages history from the database in both platforms; given the Android devices have been rooted but not necessarily jailbreak the iOS devices. Based on this finding, it is possible to develop an application to read WhatsApp database and display it in a more user-friendly format to make forensic activity much easier.

Abstract

This research investigates  stressed sheeting welded (SSW) effects of stiffened thin plate structure with preheat temperature  variations. Stiffened thin plate structure is a structure that  consists of frame and sheet that used on  vehicle structure because of requirement low volume materials. The principle of  SSW is installation of sheeting on the frame is done by pulling the sheeting in hot conditions so the sheeting after joined with the frame has the flat surface. Lap joints of  SS 400 with thickness of  1 mm dan 3 mm were made using Gas Metal Arc Welding. The preheat temperature that used were 50°C, 60°C and 70°C. The mechanical properties were measured with respect to strength and hardness while physical properties were examined based on the distortion, micro and macrostructure. Results show that the distortion of weld metal with preheat temperatures 50°C, 60°C and 70°C are 1.02; 2.06; and 2.22 mm respectively. This values is better than weld metal without  SSW that has distortion 3.02 mm. The tensile  strength of weld metals with SSW method  is 20% higher than the weld metal  without SSW. Ferrite and pearlite structure appeared in based metal and HAZ region while weld metal had acicular ferrite and grain boundary ferrite structure.

Abstract

This research is to uncover the events spiral out of control ( out of control ) that often occurs at the plane quadcopter causing loss or damage. The importance of taking this topic because the results of the research will be of great benefit in the development of microelectronic technology , especially for the design of UAV aircraft in Indonesia. Sequence starting from designing the study continued until the plane quadcopter flight test. Reliability and accuracy control flying distance flight test conducted and supported by the increase in equipment and repair kirnerja control algorithm. Success of the flight test aircraft reliability and security, determined on setting position effective control distance . Most aircraft can not transmit information if the aircraft in unsafe conditions distance position .  Benefits and the subsequent development of this quadcopter eg sensor system to detect and send the data somewhere air conditions can be developed. For aerial photography at an affordable cost while the control plane algorithms can be applied to steer the rocket to the right targets. Thus the results of the design and control algorithms on the plane quadcopter distance is very useful for science and the general public.

Abstract

Increasingly high demand for fuel oil and gas to encourage people to look for alternative renewable fuels. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of redesigning the biogas reactor. This tool can be used to produce biogas from livestock manure into energy alternatives. Redesign was done due to the initial reactor construction, yet provide optimal results. Analysis carried out on parts of the construction that needs to be fixed, then redesign done by means of the duplicate revers engineering and develop existing ones. The result of this redesign later in the simulation with the help of software with tuuan to determine the output results are given. The results of the simulation showed that the redesign of the construction of a biogas reactor output that can add more gas from the biogas reactor construction that has been there for 4 kg or produce a pressure of 0,127psi in the morning, while the afternoon of 2 kg or produce a pressure of 0,090 psi of tank which has been used as a digester.

Abstract

Activity out of the goods happen almost everyday in the warehouse PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. All activities that occur out of the goods in the warehouse must be recorded manually (Actual Data) in paper hanging and should be tailored to maximo which is a control system of PT. Indonesia Power. Based on the observations made, it appears that the common difference (error) between the amount of goods are recorded manually on a hanging card with recording stuff in maximo. Mutations actual data contained on the card suspension should always be updated with the existing data in order to avoid errors maximo between items with the notes of. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a technique to help resolve problems that are complex. The use of AHP technique is applied to minimize the error rate of mutation between the actual data with maximo. With alternative proposals overtime, relayout workspace, adding employees and training employees who assessed based on criteria obtained is the cost, complexity, time, level of risk and the effectiveness of the proposed result that the best alternative is the provision of training to employees in PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang.

Abstract

The utilization of wood for furniture industry require special handling such as reduction of the content of water in order to produce a quality product. Drying the means used to reduce the water content results in a timber. The purpose of this is to predict the value pebelitian water content (moisture content) on the wood drying kiln wood drying process. This prediction is required to determine the quality of the wood to be processed as well about half finished products and finished products. Besides the impact on the moisture content of wood durability. Thus the current drying in an oven (kiln) required proper variable settings. Design of Experiment (DOE) can be used to predict the exact value of moisture content and quickly with low cost. In this study, the values obtained optimum moisture content 17.3%, with the optimum factor levels for temperature = 50 ° C, the cross-sectional area = 415 cm2 object, relative humidity = 80%, time = 15 days. Improved performance is achieved up to 12:57% compared with the previous arrangement.
