Abstract

There are several definitions about value, most of them define value as a principle, standard, or quality considered worthwhile or desirable. Value differs from moral, although both speak about good and bad, right and wrong, should and shouldn’t. Moral is stronger than value; people usually judge others more strongly on morals than values. Value also differs from character. Character is the complex of mental and ethical traits marking and often individualizing a person, group, or nation. So to say, character education is not the same as value education.  There are three stages or periods of value development, i.e. the imprint period, the modeling period, and the socialization period. The traditional model of values education has placed greater emphasis on the content of values instead of on the valuer, the one choosing and acting on the values. In the humanistic model, however, there is a shift. The stress is from content- to process-based, values- to valuer-focused and teacher- to student-centred orientation. Socio-cultural environment is the great value educator for the children. Recently we need more moralistic models performed by public figures. Key Word: Value, caracter and value Education.

Abstract

This research aims to know the difference of influlence in learning models, creativity, and its interaction toward student’s learning achievement on the subject matter: equations of a straight line. This research is a quasi experimental research with factorial design of 3x3. The population is eight grade students of Junior high School in Madiun. The samples are taken using stratified cluster random technic. Sample of the research is 283 students. The collecting data instruments is a questionnaire on creativity and learning mathematics achievement test. The trial test of instrument of the questionnaire includes the content validity, the internal consistency, and realibility. The trial test on the achievement of learning on mathematics includes the content validity, the difficulty level, the discrimination power, and realibility coefficient. The Data analysis technique used consists of: balance, precondition analysis (Normality and Homogenity). Hypothesis analysis test uses two-ways variant analysis with different cells.The results of the research are: (1) The students who are learning with cooperative model of STAD have better achievement than the students who are given conventional learning, and the students who are given cooperative model of STAD have the same achievement with the students who are given cooperative model of TPS; (2) The students with high creativity have better achievement than the students who have lower creativity (middle and low), the students with middle creativity  have the same achievement with the students who have low creativity, (3) On students with high creativity, implementation learning models  of STAD, TPS, and conventional give the same effect; On students with middle creativity, implementation of cooperative learning with STAD model gives the same effect as good as the TPS model, implementation of cooperative learning with STAD models provides a better effect than conventional learning, and implementation of cooperative learning with TPS model gives a better effect than conventional learning; On students with low creativity, implementation of cooperative learning with STAD and TPS models give the same effect, implementation of cooperative learning with STAD model and conventional learning also provide the same effect, and implementation of cooperative learning with TPS model gives a better effect than conventional learning. Abstract

Every language has own structure and unic. Every language is also different between one and others. This study is compare between English and Arabic vocal. This study to accomodate who wants to know more about English and Arabic.This study use comparative analysis and study of phonology. English vowel sounds are described according to criteria which are: frontness – backness, closeness – openness, and lip – rounding. and contrast, in Arabic phonetics we describe sounds according to criteria which are: fathah, dhammah dan kasrah and long vowal like ma>d, alif, wau and ya’ Key words : English, Arabic, and vowal.

Abstract

The experimentation of mathematics learning by using Cooperative Learning Model of Modification Jigsaw Type And Jigsaw is viewed from the Learning Creativity of Junior Students in Nganjuk Regency. The objectives of Research are (1) to find out the differences of Mathematics Learning Achievement for students who use cooperative learning model of modification Jigsaw type, Jigsaw Cooperative Learning and Conventional Learning. (2) to find out the differences of Mathematics Learning Achievement for the students have the different Learning Creativity Grade.(3) to find out the differences of Mathematics Learning Achievement for the students on application of cooperative learning model of modification Jigsaw Type, Jigsaw Cooperative Learning and Convensional Learning have a different learning creativity grade.The concluclusion of research are that: (1) The students’ mathemetics learning result that be taught with Modification Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model is better  than that be taught with Jigsaw Learning, the students’ mathematics learning result that be taught with modification jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than that be taught with conventional learning and the students’ mathematics learning result that be taught with jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than that be taught with conventional learning. (2) The students’ learning result who have a high learning creativity as good as with the students have a medium learning creativity, the students’ learning result who have a high learning creativity is better than the students have a low learning creativity and the students’ learning result who have a medium learning creativity as good as with the students have a low learning creativity. (3a) On every learning model, the students with a high learning creativity, the students’ mathematics learning result equal the students who have a medium learning creativity, the students with a high learning creativity, the students’ mathematics learning result is better than the students with a low learning creativity and the students with a medium learning creativity, the students’ learning result equal the students who have a low learning creativity. (3b) On every creativity grade, mathematics learning result with modification jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than jigsaw learning model, mathematics learning result with jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning model and mathematics learning result with modification jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning model.Keyword: Modification Jigsaw, Jigsaw, conventional, learning creativity, learning result.

Abstract

In the history of Moslem education, the history of Islamic Schools development will always be atractive to be analized critically. The study is being urgent because it is expected that the Islamic schools will have some roles in the Moslem education development objectively and comprehensively. It is regarded as the important one because in every phase of Islamic schools’ development is always found some efforts to be better, the innovation, and other improvements. Islamic school is one of the Islamic isntitutions of education in Indonesia. The islamic school has  long cronology on its development. Since it is formed until now, there are some improvements which are trasforming the Islamic education institutions to be qualified which are supported by the Moslem reformers. The lack of the awareness of the Moslem education importance in Indonesia in the beginning of Islamic schools’ development is felt by the Moslem doers of education. That is why, the Islamic schools should be forceful.Key words: Islamic school, quality, Islamic education, and Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the error of compositions made by fifth semester students. He is completely aware that the students of English Department of theAcademyofForeign Languagesof “IPK” still find difficulties in choosing the exact sentence connectors to be applied in their compositions. . Besides that, the writer wants to practice his ability in using English that be has learned in his study at theAcademyofForeign Languagesof “IPK”. He is completely aware that the students of the English Department of theAcademyofForeign Languagesof “IPK” still find difficulties in choosing the exact sentence connectors to be applied in their compositionsFrom the composition teacher, the writer got the students’ compositions from which he collected data. At the later stage, he analyzed the data. He also quotes some pieces of information from the grammar books especially those discussing the sentence connectors and in which position they should be applied in order that his analysis can be justified and considered valid. Also, he compares theories about sentences connectors from the reference books one by one. Eventually, he tries to find out whether or not the sentence connectors are applied in the students’ compositions.The result of the discussion is that there are many students that still make the errors in their compositions related to the sentence connectors. The student of the English Department of the Academy of Foreign Languages of IPK Yogyakarta does not have a lot of intentions to use the sentence connectors in their composition ; so, it is hoped for them to comprehend them and should not make the necessary mistakes anymore Keyword: Sentence Connector, Adverbs, Paragraph
