Abstract

In the context of counseling, the voluntary counselee (based on selfunderstanding and motivation) will support the achievement of the counseling process. Besides voluntary counselee variety, communication skills used by a counselor, especially nonverbal behavior are also needed in the counseling process. Thus, the voluntary counselee is close to the counselor and the use of nonverbal communication skills of counselors determines the achievement of the counseling process. Furthermore, this research aims to analyze the effect of voluntary counselee variety and counselor nonverbal behavior toward counseling process. The population in this research were all students of SMAK St. Bonaventura Madiun in the school year 2013/2014 who had received counseling services during February 2013-October 2013 by 100 students, the sampling techniques used by the researcher is Saturated Sampling. Data which were obtained by using the questionnaire method is voluntary counselee variety scale, nonverbal behavior of counselor scale, and the success of the counseling process scale.   There were three hypotheses as the proposes of the research: 1) Voluntary counselee variety affect the achievement of the counseling process, 2) Nonverbal behavior of counselor affect the achievement of the counseling process, 3) Voluntary counselee variety and nonverbal behavior of counselor affect the achievement of the counseling process.   The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression techniques. The research proved that there was the influence of verbal counseling techniques toward the achievement of counseling process. There was an internal condition which influenced the achievement of counseling process. There was the influence of verbal counseling techniques and internal condition toward the achievement counseling process. R = 0.528, the effective contribution of 0,279%, means that 27.9% the achievement of counseling process was influenced by voluntary counselee variety and nonverbal behavior of counselor, while the remaining 72.1% was influenced by other variables which was not analyzed in this research.

Abstract

Counseling ideal space is a space that is used for the purpose of providing assistance to students / counsele who are facing problems , especially in the implementation of individual counseling a completed equipment supplies and funny. So that Guidance and counseling services in order to run effective and efficient so for needed support facility and infrastructure for confidentiali counseling problem society. So that counsele to bring a problem for counselor not openly that for with here counselor must be have listening skill with good and smart. If the counselor listen with right so counselor to feel the counselor is attention and helpened. The determination of this research to know counseling space ideal effect and listening skill counselor to self disclosure counsele. The population in this research is students of class XI SMA 3 Madiun 2013/2014 with the number of 211 person-8 class. The sampling technicue by author of Cluster Sampling . Data received with using angket metode type in scale -shaped space counseling ideal , listening skills counselor and selfdisclosure counsele. In this research the authors to propose three hypotheses : 1 ) space counseling ideal the effect for self-disclosure counsele 2 ) Listening skills counselor the effect for selfdisclosure counselee , 3 ) space counseling ideal and listening skills counselor the effect for self-disclosure counsele. Abstract

The media phone is no longer a thing layman, but it has become common used various circles without exception students. Based on the author's experience during was educated at the high school level, to get a satisfactory score many students that even opening the phone to cheating. Other factors that influence cheating behavior is the level of discipline learning. Based on the author's experience during was educated at the high school level, to get a satisfactory score many students the open mobile phones to cheat and which in turn get value almost perfect. In accordance with the background of the problem, the authors formulate the problem, namely: 1) what are the significant influence mobile phone usage on the incidence of cheating behavior? 2) what are the significant degree of influence disciplinary study on the incidence of behavior cheating? 3) what are the influence significant use of mobile phones and the level of discipline studying the behavior of cheating? This study aims to analyze the effect of mobile phones and the level of discipline studying the behavior of cheating. Population in this study were students of SMK PGRI Wonoasri, school year 2013/2014. Number of population is 163 students. The sampling technique Cluster sampling is used. Te Data were analyzed using  regression techniques Multiple linear. The analysis showed that: 1) There is the influence of the use of HP (mobile) against cheating acceptable behavior. 2) There is influence the level of discipline of learning to cheating behavior acceptable. 3) There is the influence HP uses and levels of learning discipline, against cheating acceptable behavior. The use of mobile phones and the level of discipline learn to give a contribution of 61.4% against cheating behavior, while the rest 38.6% influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu bentuk karya sastra, novel mempunyai sifat menarik untuk dinikmati. Hal itu karena novel senantiasa mengangkat tema yang beragam. Mulai dari kehidupan sosial, politik, agama, dan sebagainya. Novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan Karya Agnes Davonar dipilih sebagai bahan kajian karena novel ini diangkat dari sebuah kisah nyata, dengan mengangkat sebuah tema “perjuangan hidup” sehingga menarik untuk dikaji. Penelitian ini diberi judul Penokohan, Alur, Latar, Tema, dan Amanat dalam Novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan Karya Agnes Davonar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan penokohan, alur, latar, tema, dan amanat dalam Novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan Karya Agnes Davonar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam penelitian, dihasilkan data deskriptif berupa kalimat- kalimat yang mendukung aspekaspek yang diamati, yaitu penokohan, alur, latar, tema, dan amanat dalam novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan karya Agnes Davonar. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap aspek penokohan, alur, latar, tema, dan amanat novel tersebut diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1. Penokohan: Dalam menggambarkan sosok tokoh dan watak tokohnya, pengarang menggunakan teknik dramatik. Tokoh-tokoh dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan. Tokoh utama yaitu Gita Sesa Wanda Cantika (Keke), berwatak kuat, dewasa, jujur, dan pintar. Selanjutnya tokoh tambahan yaitu Pak Jody, berwatak pantang menyerah, bijaksana, dan penuh kasih sayang. Chika dan Kiki (Kakak Keke), bertanggung jawab, peduli pada keluarga, serta sangat dewasa. Andi, berwatak setia, perhatian. Sahabat Keke (Fadha, Idha, Shifa, Maya, Andini, dan Adhinda), setia, mau menerima Keke dalam keadaan apa pun. Pak Iyus, berwatak setia dan lucu, dan Prof. Mukhlis, sosok yang ramah, pantang menyerah. 2. Alur: Struktur alur mengikuti alur maju yaitu peristiwa diceritakan dari awal- tengah-akhir, secara berurutan mulai dari permulaan, pertikaian atau konflik, perumitan, puncak, peleraian dan akhir. 3. Latar: dibedakan atas tiga, yaitu tempat, waktu, dan sosial. a. Latar tempat: Secara keseluruhan, latar tempat terjadi di Jakarta, khususnya Jakarta Barat. Namun terdapat juga latar tempat di luar kota Jakarta, seperti di Banten dan di Bandung, bahkan di luar negeri, yaitu Singapura dan Prancis. b. Latar waktu: Peristiwa yang diceritakan terjadi pada sekitar tahun 2003 sampai tahun 2006. c. Latar sosial: Peristiwa terjadi di kalangan masyarakat kelas menengah ke atas. 4. Tema: dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu tema mayor dan tema minor. Tema mayornya adalah “perjuangan hidup seorang gadis remaja melawan penyakit yang menggerogoti hidupnya”. Selanjutnya tema minornya yaitu tema persahabatan, tema percintaan, tema pendidikan, dan tema perjuangan dan kegigihan orang tua dalam upaya memperjuangkan hidup anaknya. 5. Amanat yang disampaikan kepada pembaca berisi tentang bagaimana seseorang harus menghadapi, menjalani, dan memperjuangkan hidupnya. Melalui novel ini, diingatkan kepada pembaca bahwa kehidupan di dunia ini tidak ada yang abadi, cepat atau lambat orang akan kembali kepada-Nya. Oleh sebab itu, setiap detik kehidupan yang sangat berharga ini harus bisa di manfaatkan sebaik mungkin demi kebaikan sendiri maupun sesama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan: (1) bagi pembaca karya sastra khususnya novel, hendaknya dapat memahami unsur-unsur yang terkandung di dalamnya, seperti penokohan, alur, latar, tema, dan amanat, serta dapat mengambil hikmah yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam menyikapi tantangan hidup, (2) bagi peneliti lain, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberi motivasi, informasi, serta dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan acuan untuk melakukan penelitian tentang karya sastra khususnya novel pada aspek yang lain secara lebih luas dan mendalam, dan (3) bagi para guru penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran bahwa novel populer khususnya novelnovel yang diangkat dari kisah nyata seperti, novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan karya Agnes Davonar dapat dijadikan salah satu pilihan bahan pelajaran sastra khususnya dalam mengapresiasi karya sastra.

Abstract

This research tries to reveal the use of simile in Luke. It aims to describe(1) formal forms of simile, (2) lingual forms of tenor and vehicle, (3) tenor andvehicle relations, and (4) the meaning of similarities.The research is qualitative-descriptive in nature. The data of the researchare sentences and paragraphs existing in Luke (Indonesian Bible Society, 2005).The number of the data is 70 quatations.The result of the data analysis shows (1) formal forms area: (a) explicitlyexpressed using the words seperti, sama seperti, demikian juga, seumpama, samadengan, demikian jadinya, demikian pulalah, sebesar, seindah, senasib dan (b)implicitly expressed, (2) lingual forms of tenor and vehicle fillers are (a)word+ss+word, (b) word+ss+phrase, (c) word+ss+clause, (d) phrase+ss+phrase,(e) phrase+ss+clause, (f) clause+ss+word, (g) clause+ss+phrase, (h)clause+ss+clause, (3) Tenor and vehicle relation consist of concrete-abstract,abstract-concrete, concrete-concrete, abstract-abstract, and (4) The meaning ofsimilarities is grouped into two, namaly closed similarities (42 data) and opensimilarities (28 data).

Abstract

This study analysis the functions of adverbs in compound sentences inKompas Minggu. Compound sentence is a combination of two or more sentenceswhich the position and relation are equal or unequal.This researrch is qualitative research becouse it describes the data in thefrom Kompas Minggu from April to June 2013.Based on the result of the study the type of main clause-subordinate clauseconsists of 12 patterns, they are as follows (1) S-P-Adv, (2) S-P-O-Adv, (3) S-PPel-Adv, (4) S-P-O-Pel-Adv, (5) S-P-Adv-Adv, (6) S-P-O-Adv-Adv, (7) S-PComp-Adv-Adv, (8) S-Adv-P-Adv, (9) P-S-Adv, (10) P-Adv-S-Adv, (11) P-Adv,dan(12) P-S-Comp-Adv. Abstract

achievement by using cooperating learning type Think Pair Share (TPS). The research that is used is Class Action Research that is held for about 2 cycles. The objective research is the students of VII (7th) grade of Junior High School 3 Madiun, in period 2012/2013 the total students is 33 students. Technique of  collecting data that is used is by using test method, observation method, and field note. Test method is used to know the data of the raising of mathematics study’s achievement, observation method is used to know the activity of student during the class, while field not is used to collect the data in the field. The results of the research are as follows the achiement of student’s mathematic’s study gets the average of cycle test I is 58,56 with the total prosentase of the class for about 50%, while cycle II with the average test for about 66,44 with prosentase of the class for about 59,38%. The total of average’s score of class activity, cycle I for about 3,12 and cycle II 3,39. The result of observation of student learning’s activity, the student of medium and high in the cycle I is 42,31% and cycle II is 63,31%.The result of student’s mathematics learning for the last test, all of the cycle reach the average for about 78,44 with the complete score of the student for about 65,63%. The total of student’s achiement, the process of class activity, and student’s activity from cycle I to cycle II gets raising.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran matematika berbantuan GeoGebra dengan pendekatan laboratorium lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pendekatan klasikal untuk topik nilai-nilai stasioner dan menggambar kurva pada pokok bahasan turunan fungsi di Kelas XI SMA yang dilihat dari aktivitas, respon dan prestasi belajar siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap 2012/2013 di SMAN 5 Madiun dengan populasi kelas XI IPA. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen Imenggunakan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan GeoGebra dengan pendekatan klasikal, kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen II menggunakan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan GeoGebra dengan pendekatan laboratorium, dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes berupa tes prestasi belajar dan metode non tes berupa angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Untuk data skor prestasi belajar dan respon siswa berdistribusi normal dan tidak homogen, maka akan di analisismenggunakan analisis variansi satu arah berdasarkan Peringkat Kruskall Wallis. Untuk data skor aktivitas siswa berdistribusi normal dan homogen, maka akan di analisis menggunakan analisis variansi satu jalan dengan sel tak sama.Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis statistik diperoleh: (1) Prestasi belajar siswa untuk ketiga kelas sampel tidak terdapat perbedaan. (2) Respon siswa untuk ketiga kelas sampel tidak terdapat perbedaan. (3) Aktivitas siswa untuk ketiga kelas sampel terdapat perbedaan. Untuk Aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan ProgramGeogebra dengan pendekatan laboratorium lebih baik dari aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan Program Geogebra dengan pendekatan klasikal.Untuk Aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional lebih baik dari aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan Program Geogebra dengan pendekatanklasikal. Untuk aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan program Geogebra dengan pendekatan laboratorium dan aktivitas siswa dengan pembelajarankonvensional tidak terdapat perbedaan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) which has the lower is students saturation degree between conventional learning and problem based learning with learning mathematics.(2) which has the higher is students learning achievement between conventional learning and problem based learning with learning mathematics.This research is a quantitative research with pre-experintal design. This research was conducted of SMP N Madiun in academic year 2013/2014 in odd semester. The population was the students of class VIII at SMPN 4 Madiun. While the samples for the research were class VIII D and VIII E. The research applied test methods and questionnaire methods for the data collection. The instrument used in this research is used to learn mathematics achievement test and questionnaire for the students saturation to mathematics learning. Learning achievement test is used to determine the learning achievement in mathematics. In this research the students with problem based learning (class VIII D) is (n1) = 29 and with conventional learning (class VIII E) is (n2) = 28. Based on the analysis of data obtained: (1) for the students saturation in learning mathematics with average ( 1) = - 0,8966 the standard deviation is (s1) = 2,41046 and the average ( 2) = 0,14286 thestandard deviation is (s2) = 2,6206 with the significant level is 0,05. Based on the statistical analysis it can be conclude that the degree of students saturation in learning mathematics with problem based learning is not less than the students who are taught conventional learning. (2) for students learning achievement test the average ( 1) = 26,67 the standard deviation is (s1) = 19,4987 and the average ( 2) = 17,5 thestandard deviation is (s2) = 15,466 with the significant level is 0,05. Based on the statistical analysis it can be conclude that the students achievement who are taught by problem based learning is higher those who are taught by conventional learning.

Abstract

There are two factors that affect the self-esteem of students, i.e. internal and external factors. Internal factors exist within students while the external factors come from the outside environment. In this case the most important of the internal factors is the self concept while the external factor is the school environment (including curriculum, good relationships with teachers, and learning infrastructure. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of private tutoring services and the self-concept of the students against the students’ confidence. The population in this study were the students of class VIII and IX of Saint Joseph Catholic Junior High School school year 2013/201. The number of respondents is 109 students. The sampling technique used is acidental sampling. The data obtained by using the scale questionnaire method is the private counseling service scale, the self-concept scale, and the self confidence scale. In this study the outher proposes three hypotheses: 1) The personal counselingservices  influence to the self-esteem of students, 2) The self-concept influencesto the self-esteem of students, 3) The personal counseling services and self-concept influence to the sel-esteem of students. The analysis technique used is the multiply linear regression techniques. The research proves; there is not influence of the private tutorial services to the students' self-confidence with t (0.109) <of the t table (1.990) the first minor hypothesis test. The Self-concept influences the self-confidence of students with t value (10.621) > t table (1.990). The major hypothesis testing shows the value of F (87.528) > of the F table value (3.08). Figures R = 0.789, shows that the correlation between the variables have a very strong cohesion. The effective contribution 0.623, means that 62.3% of the student self-confidence is influenced by personal counseling services and self-concept, while the remaining 37.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
