Abstract

Kata Kunci: Cultural Studies, Budaya populer, Budaya penggemar, Perilaku konsumtif, AKB48 merupakan grup idola yang berasal dari distrik Akihabara, Tokyo, Jepang yang dibentuk oleh Yasushi Akimoto pada tahun 2005. Penggemar AKB48 sangat banyak hingga keluar Negara Jepang. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang memiliki banyak komunitas penggemar AKB48. Beberapa kota memiliki komunitas penggemar AKB48 masing-masing, contohnya di Malang yang bernama Ringo48.Penulis melakukan penelitian pada komunitas Ringo48 dalam kaitannya dengan budaya penggemar dan perilaku konsumtif yang dilakukan penggemar terhadap budaya populer AKB48 di kota Malang Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku konsumtif yang terjadi dalam kegiatankomunitas penggemar tersebut.Konsumsi komunitas penggemar dimulai dari musik dan lagu hingga produk merchandise AKB48 yang dipasarkan. Dari konsumsi tersebut penggemar mampu mengaplikasikan kreativitasnya melalui tarian wotagei dan memproduksi merchandise sendiri. Ringo48 juga memiliki wadah diskusi online berupa facebook dan twitter untuk menjalin interaksi sosial antar penggemar satu dengan lainnya.Bagi pembaca yang akan melakukan penelitian pada komunitas penggemar semacam ini dapat menggunakan pendekatan antropologi budaya melalui penelitian etnografi.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Kembang Kamboja, Klaim, Humanisme, Propaganda, Sejarahpendudukan Jepang di Indonesia Kembang Kamboja ditulis Abe Tomoji yang menceritakan pengalamannya selama berada di Jawa. Karya tersebut dianggap sebagai karya dengan tema humanis. Kontradiksi terjadi ketika unsur humanisme dalam Kembang Kamboja ditinjau dari sudut pandang bangsa Indonesia yang dijajah oleh Jepang. Penulis ingin meneliti tentang apakah wacana humanisme dalam novel Kembang Kamboja relevan dengan keadaan masyarakat Indonesia pada masa pendudukan Jepang.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan New Historicism yang mengacu pada kajian wacana dan kekuasaan sehingga penulis bisa menempatkan Kembang Kamboja sebagai bagian dari sejarah pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia dan menemukan korelasinya dengan kekuasaan pada saat itu. Dengan teori ini, penulis bisa mendapatkan data dari berbagai media untuk mendapatkan fakta-fakta sejarah yang akurat.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa humanisme dalam Kembang Kamboja adalah sebuah klaim karena aspek kajiannya hanya berdasar stigma pada pengarangnya, unsur intrinsik yang membangunnya dan dari satu kajian sastradengan sebutan sastra Avant Garde. Karena berposisi sebagai artefak sejarah pendudukan Jepang, Kembang Kamboja adalah produk propaganda dimana setiap karya dikontrol oleh kekuasaan untuk mendoktrin bahwa pendudukannya di Indonesia dianggap hal yang wajar. Klaim humanisme pada Kembang Kamboja tidak memperlihatkan sebuah analisis penalaran keadaan sosial secara lebih objektif. Sehingga menghasilkan ketimpangan humanisme yang hanya pada tataran definitif, dari iringan alur cerita dan konflik batin pengarang. Jauh dari idelanya humanisme yang dibicarakan sebagai realita kemanusiaan yang komperenhensif. Klaim humanisme mengacu pada relevansinya saat pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia, adalah sebuah klaim pseudo humanis.Penulis menyarankan penelitian selanjutnya, meneliti novel Kembang Kamboja dari segi instrinsik dengan kajian post-strukturalisme, yang lebih menggunakan pendekatan dekonstruksi Jaques Derrida. sehingga perspektif baru dari novel Kembang Kamboja dapat terbuka

Abstract

Keywords: Illocutionary Acts, Television Advertisement, Mie Sedaap. This study investigates the illocutionary actsdemonstrated by the actors’ and actresses’ utterancesin television advertisement of Mie Sedaap. In this study, the writer investigates two problems of the study which are: (1) Whatare the types of illocutionary acts found in Mie Sedaapinstant noodle advertisement on television? (2) What type of illocutionary acts is mostly used in Mie sedaapinstant noodle advertisement on television?The main theory to answer the problems of the study is the theory of speech act especially in taxonomy of illocutionary acts by Searle (1979). This study used qualitative approach in textual analysis since the data of this study are in the form of words rather than numbers, and uses the transcription of the actors’ and actresses’ utterances to be analyzed. The data of this study werethe actors’ and actresses’ utterances in Mie Sedaapinstant noodle advertisement on television containing illocutionary acts. To analyze the data, the context of each advertisement is explained first. Then, the data are presented and analyzed by using speech act theory. Based on the findings of this study, the writer found five types of illocutionary acts based on Searle’s theory; Assertives, Directives, Commisives, Expressives, and Declaration. The occurrences of those types are: 10 utterances contained assertive type of illocutionary act, 6 utterances contained directive, 3 utterances contained commisive type, 19 and 3 utterances contained expressive and declaration respectively and 7 utterances contained two types of illocutionary act. The type of illocutionary acts that are mostly used by the actors and actresses is expressive. This type is mostly in the form of adjective. The speakers use this type merely to express apleased feeling toward Mie Sedaap.Finally, the writer the writer suggests for the linguistic readers to be aware of using of utterances in other TV advertisements as they are not only used to express a feeling, but they also used to conclude, declare, promise, or command. It depends on the topic of the advertisement itself.The writer also expects the next researchers to analyze and to add the other aspect of illocutionary actssuch as illocutionary and its IFIDs (illocutionary Force Indicating Device).

Abstract

Keywords: Osing language, Kemiren, Tampo, Dialect DifferencesIn Indonesia, there are many local languages. One of the local language is Osing language in Banyuwangi, East Java. This research aims to find out differences between Kemiren Osing dialect and Tampo Osing dialect in terms of the phonological and lexical aspects.This research is descriptive qualitative. The data were collected using interview and pupuan lapangan or field research (researcher went to see the informant and had the face to face interview). Two informants were chosen from two different villages. The data were taken from 46 sentences produced by informants.Results reveal that in terms of phonological differences, there are 7 differences, that is consonant addition, the vowel change / o / becomes / u /, the vowel addition / ə / , the vowel reduction that form / i / into / e /, the vowel addition / u /, the vowel reduction from sound / e / into / a /. In phonemic variation that is a change from phoneme / i / into / e / and the phoneme / e / into / a /. As for lexical differences, there were 21 sentences containing lexical differences. The most lexical difference was found in the predicate component.Further researchers, who conduct similar topic are suggested to complete this research, not only in terms phonological and lexical differences but also broaden to cover other linguistic aspects especially syntactical aspect

Abstract

Kata Kunci : Analisis kesalahan, I-keiyoushi, Na-keiyoushi. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya kesalahan dalam perubahan bentuk i-keiyoushi dan na-keiyoushi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk mengambil judul penelitian Kesalahan Penggunaan I-Keiyoushi dan Na-Keiyoushi pada Mahasiswa Angkatan 2013 Program Studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Masalah yang dimunculkan dalam penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan jenis kesalahan mahasiswa dalam merubah bentuk i-keiyoushi dan na-keiyoushi, serta mengetahui penyebab kesalahan tersebut.Analisis kesalahan merupakan teknik untuk mengetahui penyebab kesalahan, dalam analisis kesalahan terdapat jenis dan penyebab kesalahan. Kata sifat dalam bahasa Jepang, berdasarkan jenisnya terbagi menjadi I-Keiyoushi dan Na-keiyoushi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa soal dan angket. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2013. Jumlah soal ada 20 sedangkan responden 50 orang. Untuk menganalisis data menggunakan tabulasi, tabel dan presentase kemudian dijelaskan dengankalimat.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan jenis kesalahan yang terjadi yaitu taksonomi kategori linguistik, taksonomi siasat permukaan, taksonomi komparatif, dan taksonomi efek komunikatif sedangkan penyebab kesalahan yang terjadi yaitu lingkungan, bahasa ibu, kebiasaan, pendapat populer dan interferensi.Berdasarkan temuan di lapangan penulis menyimpulkan terdapat masih banyak mahasiswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan i-keiyoushi dan na-keiyoushi pada bentuk negatif lampau dan positif lampau. Penulis juga menyarankan kepada pihak-pihak yang bersangkutan dalam proses belajar mengajar agar mengajarkan secara rinci bagaimana cara merubah bentuk ikeiyoushi dan na-keiyoushi sehingga dapat mengurangi kesalahan yang terjadi.

Abstract

Keywords: Speech Acts, Direct and Indirect directive, 5cm MovieSpeech acts is the study of intended meaning the utterances speaker or writer. Speech acts include locutionary acts, illocutionary force, and perlocutionary effect. Illocutionary force have many kinds of types such as declaration, representative, commisive, directive, and expressive. The theories can be applied into media entertainments. The Example of media entertainment  is movie. This study examines directive speech acts in a movie. The focus of analysis of this research is on illocutionary force, that is directive speech act. There are two problems of this study, they are: (1) What direct directive speechacts are produced by the main characters in 5cm movie (2) What indirect directive acts are used by main characters of 5cm movie and the purpose of using indirect forms.Research method which was used is qualitative. Type of study is a document analysis. The writer watches 5cm movie and download the scripts to classify utterances into direct and indirect directive speech acts. Then the writer make the tables and do analysis.The result shows that 39 utterances are direct directive speech acts. 16 utterances are indirect directive speech acts. 17 utterances are advising-directive, 15 utteraces are asking-directive, 3 utterances are requiring, instructing is 5 utterances, 4 utterances are urging, one utterance of begging, 5 utterances are requesting, one utterance is admonishing, 2 utterances are permitting. The most types of directive utterances is advice directive since 5cm movie give advise for the main characters and audience in form of direct or indirect speech acts about reaching dreams always be spirit make wishes become true. The most frequent is direct directive speech acts. The main characters often express their feeling in direct. Generally, most movie is made for easy understanding for audience to know what the movie wants to extend some of messages.The writer wants to give suggestions for the future writers. The data of the research are limited in one of types illocutionary force. It is suggested the nextwriters investigate in another entertainment media.

Keywords: Social level, Javanese people, forms of address, Mangan Ora   Mangan Kumpul Forms of address have a tight relationship with culture. By understandingthe forms of address, people can understand about a culture of the society who use it. The society that is designated by this research is Javanese. Furthermore,Mangan Ora Mangan Kumpul is chosen as the data source because of somereasons, for example this book contains a lot of Javanese values. There are twoproblems proposed in this research, those are: (1) what are the forms of address used in Mangan Ora Mangan Kumpul? (2) how do the forms of address in Mangan Ora Mangan Kumpul reflect social level among Javanese people?This research applies qualitative research approach, explanative as theresearch purpose, primary data source, social interaction as the unit analysis,document as the technique of collecting data, content analysis as the data analysis, and the last is triangulation as the research validation.The result of this research found that forms of addess are divided into three functions; to designate people who are from a higher, a same or a lower social level than the addresser. Forms of address to designate people from highersocial level are anda, panjenengan, sampeyan, Pakde, Engkoh, Bapak, Bune, Mas, and mBakyu. Forms of address to designate people from same social level are kamu, kau, kalian, (characters’ name), (characters’ nickname), Profesor andDokter. The last, forms of address to designate people from lower social level are kamu, kau, kalian, Tole, Adik, (characters’ name), and (characters’ nickname).The social level of Javanese people in this novel mostly identified by socio-economic capability and age of persons. There are some incorrect uses ofthe address forms applied by the characters in the novel. It happened because of some reasons, such as social distance and joke. Those incorrect uses are: (a) Anda is used to designate a person who is from the same social level (socio-economic aspect), (b) Sampeyan is not used to only designate people from higher social level, but also people from lower social level (socio economic aspect). This form actually also can be used to decrease a respect feeling to the addressee, (c) Bune is not used to only designate people from higher social level, but also people from same social level (age gap and socio-economic aspects), (d) Mas is not used to only designate people from higher social level, but also people from lower social level (socio-economic aspect).

Abstract

Kata Kunci : nomina, komponen makna, sosei bunseki, light novel Di Jepang ada suatu novel yang tidak hanya berisi kata – kata, tetapi diberi ilustrasi. Novel ini disebut light novel. Novel yang berjudul Baka To Tesuto To Shoukanjuu ini termasuk light novel. Dalam light novel Baka To Tesuto To Shoukanjuu terdapat banyak nomina. Nomina memiliki banyak jenis dan jugamemiliki komponen makna yang membentuknya.Penelitian tentang jenis nomina dan komponen makna nomina masih belum banyak dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian tentang jenis nomina dan komponen makna untuk menjawab rumusan masalah dalam studi ini, yaitu (1) ada berapakah jenis nomina atau meishi (名詞) yang terdapat dalam light novel Baka To Tesuto To Shoukanjuu vol.1 (2) bagaimanakah komponen makna nomina dan tipenya dalam light novel Baka To Tesuto To Shoukanjuu vol.1. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis pada suatu teks (dalam hal ini light novel).Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan jenis nomina Futsuumeishi (普通名詞) sebanyak 53 data, Koyuumeishi (固有名詞) sebanyak 13 data, Daimeishi (代名詞) sebanyak 13 data, Toki no meishi (時の名詞) sebanyak 4 data, Tenseimeishi (転成名詞) sebanyak 4 data, Fukugoumeishi (複合名詞) sebanyak 13 data dan tipe komponen makna I sebanyak 1 data, Ia sebanyak 8 data, Ib sebanyak 3 data, Ic sebanyak 9 data, Id sebanyak 1 data, If sebanyak 2 data, II sebanyak 4 data, III sebanyak 2 data, IVa sebanyak 1 data, IVb sebanyak 1 data, V sebanyak 1 data, VI sebanyak 2 data VII sebanyak 9 data, VIIa sebanyak 3 data, VIIb sebanyak 3 data, VIId sebanyak 1 data, VIIg sebanyak 8 data, VIIh sebanyak 3 data, VIII sebanyak 8 data, X sebanyak 2 data dan yang tidak termasuk tipe apapun 28 data. Abstract

Kata Kunci : pragmatik, implikatur, implikatur percakapan Bahasa sangat diperlukan sebagai alat komunikasi. Penggunaan bahasa sering melibatkan aspek-aspek di luar kaidah struktural yang dikaji dalam pragmatik. Salah satu bagian dari kajian pragmatik adalah implikatur. Implikatur percakapan merujuk pada prinsip-prinsip dalam pertuturan secara tepat. Prinsip-prinsip tersebut antara lain prinsip kerjasama dan prinsip kesopanan. Penelitian mengenai “Implikatur Percakapan dalam Drama Hanayori Dango Returns Karya Yoko Kamio” ini dilakukan mengingat suatu kajian implikatur percakapan mempunyai peran yang tepat untuk mengkaji suatu penggunaan bahasa. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah (1) Sesuai dengan prinsip kerjasama dan kesopanan, maksim-maksim apa saja yang terdapat dalam drama Hanayori Dango Returns karya Yoko Kamio (2) Apa saja fungsi tindakan ilokusi dalam implikatur percakapan yang terdapat dalam drama Hanayori Dango Returns karya Yoko Kamio. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan mengetahui implikatur percakapan yang memenuhi maksim-maksim sesuaidengan prinsip kerjasama dan kesopanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 33 implikatur percakapan dalam drama Hanayori Dango Returns episode 1 yang memenuhi maksim-maksim dengan rincian prinsip kerjasama sebanyak 11 temuan meliputi 3maksim kuantitas, 2 maksim kualitas, 3 maksim relevansi dan 3 maksim cara, sedangkan prinsip kesopanan terdapat 22 temuan meliputi maksim kebijaksanaan 4 temuan, maksim kemurahan 6 temuan,  2 maksim penerimaan, 2 maksim kerendahan hati, 4 maksim kecocokan dan 4 maksim kesimpatian. Fungsi tindakan ilokusi yang terdapat dalam implikatur percakapan tersebut berdasarkan teori Leech (1993 : 162) antara lain kompetitif, menyenangkan, bekerjasama dan bertentangan. Penelitian berikutnya diharapkan bisa menggunakan sumber data selain drama seperti novel, komik atau anime. Penelitian mengenai implikatur bisa lebih dikhususkan pada kalimat tertentu serta pelanggaran prinsip kerjasama maupun kesopanan juga bisa dilakukan.

Abstract

Keywords: Semiotics, Advertisement, Billboard, Signs, Icon, Index, Symbol, Codes.Advertisement is one of the most important ways to deliver messages to people by using both visual and written text as public media. The cigarette billboard advertisement does not show their product. The advertisements contain language and image. Cigarette billboard advertisements use signs, icon, symbol and index to deliver the messages to the reader. This study uses theory of signs by Peirce and theory of codes by Chandler to analyze semiotics signs used in some cigarette billboard advertisement on Jalan S. Parman Malang. There are two research problems of study to be solved, (1) what semiotics signs are used in some cigarette billboard advertisements on Jalan S. Parman Malang and (2) What are the meanings of semiotics signs used in some cigarette billboard advertisement on Jalan S. Parman Malang.This study uses qualitative approach. The researcher took document analysis because the purpose of document analysis is identifying specific characteristics of the materials which in this research are semiotics within cigarette billboard advertisement on Jalan S. Parman Malang. As the data, the writer uses the signs found from some cigarette billboard advertisement on Jalan S. Parman Malang. Then, the data sources of this study are some cigarette billboard advertisementon Jalan S. Parman Malang was taken from May 2013.The writer found that there were 29 signs in total consisting of 14 (fourteen) icons, 3 (three) indexes and 12 (twelve) symbols in all three advertisements. By using semiotics, the cigarette advertisement can deliver the message of the product in an effective way without losing the essence of the product itself. Then, to make the readers become more understand about the meaning of the signs in the cigarette billboard advertisements, the writer usescode which is usedto assist in the interpretation of the sign. The code is important to help readers when they analyze the sign employed in the cigarette billboard advertisements.As a conclusion, the writer realizes that the part of semiotic signs is really important to support the advertisement. Each semiotic signs can give the power to guide the viewers to get information. Semiotic sign can persuade or influence the viewers to use the products. Therefore, the writer suggests the next researchers to use other method of collecting the data, like giving interview or questionnaire to the audiences or the viewers. It is hoped that the method cancomplete their research.
