Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate influence of cassava subtitution with calocasia to· quality and self life chicken meat bowl. The experiment design was arranged by campletely randamized block design with 5 treathment and 4 replication. CasstWa and calocasia subtitution level were used as a treatmen. i.e. A(lOO% : 0%),B(75% : 25%), C(50% : 50%), D(25% : 75%), E(O% : 100%). The parameters were evaluated as water value, pH, Total colony count and selflife. The result showed subtitution of cassava with calocasia powder could increase selflife ofchicken meat bowl. The best cambination casstWa and calocasia (0%:100%) was recamanded to produce good quality gelatin ofchicken meat bowl.

Abstract

The area development to be animal husbandry area should be directed in the increasing of natural resources using efficiency, and environment preservation. In this case, its development is done with use and manage natural resources in the form of land, livestock, and livestock woof, with other production factors in the form ofemployee and working capital. Local animal husbandry is genetic resources which have high potency to be used as prime seed forming source or other sources which are used to community necessity example meat production. West-South East Maluku Regency is the regency for livestock development in Maluku. A number ofruminant livestock populations in MTB regency are 40.215 ST, in detail, beef cattles are 5.392 ST, buffalo are 21.511 ST, goats are 11.376 ST, and sheeps are 1.936 ST. One offactors to determine animal husbandry development success in Maluku especially in MTB Regency is availability of woof resources and wastes for livestock. Dry material production total (ton BK) offood plant wastes in MTB Regency is 62855 ton, it is alternative woof source which is given for livestock besides of natural grass. If food plant intensification increases, so food plant waste production will be high. Corn strllW is food plant waste which has high support power that is 21530 ST or about 78 percent, it is compared with otherfood plant wastes in MTB Regency.

Abstract

The aim ofthis research is to investigate the influence offermented banana waste (FBVV) utilization in broilerfeeding that could be enriched by starbio probiotic. Fermented FBW by Rhizopus oligosphorus was used in this study. Tests were carried out by mean of the complete randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions. In addition, variation between the treatments was observed by applying Duncant Multiple Range Test. Five treatments for each feed composition were set to without FBW (A), 20% ofFBW+O,25% starbio probiotic (8), 30% ofFBW+0,25 % starbio probiotic (e), 40% of FBW+O,25% starbio probiotic (D) and 50% of FBW+0.25% starbio probiotic (E) respectively. Results showed that FBW utilization is having very significant influence to improving broiler performance such as body weight and feed consumption (P<O.Ol) but does not provide significant effect to feed conversion (P>0,05). Therefore, the fermented banana waste could be appropriately used up to 30% ofbroilerfeed.

Abstract

The purpose this study was to ktww the influence ofseveral processing and the storage periods offish ration added with tapioca binder on the physical characteristics offish ration. This research used a 3 x 4factorial completely randomized design with 3 replications. The data were analyzed by analysis ofvariance and the significant result would be examined by orthogonal contrast test. Factor A was processing (without treatment, AD); spraying with 5% hot water (AI) and steamingfor 45 minutes (A2), while factor B was storage periods(O, 2, 4, and 6 weeks). The parameters investigated were water activity, water content, particle size, .pellet durability, loose bulk density and compressed bulk density. The results showed that processing without treatment, spraying with 5% hot water and steaming for 45 minutes did not affect the physical characteristics of ration. However, the water content and particle size of the ration were significantly affected by processing treatments (p<O.Ol). The water content was 13.69%, 13.71% and 14.42%, while particle size of the ration processing without treatment, spraying with 5 % and spraying with 5% hot water were 0.659 em, 0.652 em and 0.658 em, repectively. The storage period highly significant influenced (p<O.Ol) physical characteristics of the ration, the value ofwater activity atoweek to 6 weeks storage periods were 0.83, 0.78, 0.76 and 0.76; water content were 14.34%, 14.82%, 13.30% and 13.30%; particle size were 0.663 em, 0.659 em, 0.651 em and 0.651 em; pellet durability were 99.95%, 99.79%, 99.73% and 99.57%; loose bulk density were 0.639 g/em3, 0.543 g/em3, 0.534 g/em3 and 0.50p g/em3; and compressed bulk density were 0.691 g/em3, 0.630 g/em3, 0.718 g/em3 and 0.712 g/em3, respectively. The results indicated that storage period decreased the physical characteristics of ration. In conclusion, the best quality offish ration was ration processed by spraying with 5% hot water and 4 weeks storage.

Abstract

Information and data land potentialfor development ojpre-eminent plantation commodity through by land biophysic analysis data and Location Quotient (LQ). Result of land biophysic analysis data which poured in Zona Agroekologi map (ZAE), registered by arealfor the width of165,847ha (22,06%) from wide ofCenter Moluccas Regency, which ha:ae potency for development plantation commodity . This areal spead at subzona II ax, II ax.i, and II bx. Actual land which have been laboured for the commodity ofplantation just about 35,323.50 ha, so that leave open opportunity for development ofthe effort plantation for the width of 130,523.50 ha (78.70%) from wide of potential land. Development areal spread over in some district, that is : (1) Tehoru 62,639 ha; (2) Amahai, Waipia and Masohi 21,621 ha; (3) Saparua and Nusalaut 2,584.50 ha;(4) Haruku Island 4,178; (5) Salahutu 2,403 ha; and (6) North Ceram 42,376 ha. Pre-eminent commodity of Center Moluccas Regency are clove and cacao, with LQ value equal 2.06 and 1.24, respectively. This commodity proposed as superior because comparatively ha:ae highest production compared with the same commodity at all of regencyjtown in Moluccas Province. Coconut can be considered to become region pre-eminent commodity ifits production can be improved. Specific region commodity which proposed as superior are Nutmeg ofBanda and Sago.
