Journal of Adabiya is a scholarly journal published biannually, February and August by Fakultas Adab and Humaniora of UIN of Ar-Raniry with registered number 2567/SK.Ditjen.PPG/STT/1999, dated July 6, 1999 (ISSN 1411-6588). On February 2, 2017 the Jurnal Adabiya has been approved its online ISSN 2549-1776 and February 7, 2017 was awarded ISSN number for printing version, that is ISSN 2549-3124. It is focused on >strong>Social, Literature, Arabic Literature, Humanities, Library and Information Science issues. The Journal is nationally circulated and managed by professionals in their respective areas of expertise. An article published in the journal have been reviewed by experts in their field both national and international which their name can be found in the last page of the journal.

<![CDATA[In the living environment of the library community as an institution providing information services provide easy access to the entire community to access information for free easily and quickly. In the develop- ment stage of the collection of procurement processes gave birth to a quality collection in accordance with the needs of information user and have relevance to the development of the latest information technology so that the library as an information center can compete with other information centers. Collection development policy is a tool / means to direct all activities related to the planning, funding, selection, and procurement of library materials. The collection development policy is also a guide to developing collections directed. In order for the collection development policy can be implemented directed librarian as a waiter of information should always give confidence to library user in using library as source of information.]]>

<![CDATA[The shift of traditional clothing in society is very common to happen because of an attempt to adapt with new need. The happening of shift in traditional clothing of marriage in Perlak Asan village, Sakti Sub-dis- trict, Pidie Regency focus more on the clothes during religious rite and cultural rite of marriage. This research is using qualitative method which is observation, interview and documentation. The result of research show that traditional clothing for marriage is changing from traditional into modern. But the shift is about the mod- ernization of the clothes which show the process of social culture transformation as the urge of society to be up to date with global world. Traditional clothing that is being used consists of values or messages that want to be delivered by the brides. Traditional clothing for example is Acehnese clothing, Seloyor. And modification of modern clothing is Acehnese clothing Duyung, Indian wedding dress, Barbie dress, Kebaya gown and Kebaya robe.]]>

<![CDATA[ Information audit provides a frame of checking for information activity to be created, collected, shared and saved. As that activity is being seen and proceed now and how it should be in the future where the changes from as is into as to be is expected to happen. The purpose of audit is to understand which information is needed to support institution’s activities, what kind of information do people use now, where do people gain information and is there a gap in accessing information. Audit may be used to analyze the information that people need, the resources that are being used to gain information and the challenges to access information. As a librarian it is important to give a service in accordance with the need of users and working in cooperation in organization to provide the needs of users. Information audit is one of the tools to improve the service for the users, and librarians should see this as an additional value from organization’s aspect activity.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper examines the historical roots of the emergence of the involvement of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) in the socio-political field, especially several reasons that form the basis of government policy to involve ABRI in the socio-political and economic fields, as well as ABRI’s own efforts to play a role in these fields. This historical approach research concluded that ABRI’s involvement in the socio-political field in Indonesia had begun since the government of Guided Democracy under President Soekarno. Politically, the reason for Soekarno’s inclusion of the military in his government structure was due to the failure of civilian politicians in formulating state ideology with no agreement between parties in the constituent assembly. This failure is considered to endanger national political stability and threaten the integrity of the country. For this reason, President Soekarno recruited the military to balance civilian politicians in his government. Along with its involvement in the socio-political field, ABRI also plays a role in socio-economics. Although at first, this role was limited to securing national private companies which were legacies of foreign companies, but during the New Order government, the dual function of ABRI was confirmed and its role was wider. Almost all strategic economic sectors are controlled by ABRI.]]>

<![CDATA[مل ّخص البحث: يسعى هذا البحث إىل تدقيق النظر يف أداة من أدوات التشبيه االصطالحي - وهي: (كأ ّن) - من حيثحقيقتها، وداللتها، وعالقتها بالنظم عند البالغيني. أما احليثية األوىل - وهي يف حتديد حقيقتها - فقد تناول البح ُثموقف العلماء يف ذلك بني القائلني برتكيبها والقائلني ببساطتها. وأما احليثية الثانية - وهي يف بيان داللتها - فقد َعَر َضاختالفَهم يف ذلك بني القول بأن (كأ ّن) دالة على التشبيه إطالقا، وبني القول بأن إفادهتا التشبيهَ مقيّدةٌ ببعض احلاالت، وأن هلا دالالت أخرى غري التشبيه. وأما احليثية الثالثة - وهي يف تبيني عالقة (كأ ّن) بالنظم عند البالغيني - فقد تطّرق إىلُختم البحثموقف اإلمام عبد القاهر اجلرجاين يف املسألة، وقام بشرح بعض كالمه، وموازنته بكالم غريه من البالغيني. مثباحلديث عن قوة مقدار الشبه يف التشبيه هبذه األداة. ]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out Librarian in Perspective of Information Manager (Case Study on Library Science Undergraduate Student of Adab and Humanities Faculty of UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh). This research uses quality descriptive approach, an approach that emphasizes more on the deductive and inductive deduc- tion process and on the analysis of the dynamics of relationship between observed phenomena, using scientific logic. The students of Library Science were observed to be 54 people for three months. For this research the author will explain in detail about UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh Main Library in the perspective of information managers for llibrary users especially Library Science students class of 2016 intake. The research results are; Librarians are not yet fully able to become information managers at UIN Ar-Raniry Main Library of Banda Aceh, due the small number of librarians for this size of a college library. Lack of librarian contribution to be- come information manager, in order to be able to fulfill requirement of information for their users, in this case undergraduate student of Library Science. Regarding the perspective that a library must be able to provide all forms of information required has not been done well, especially the information needs fot this such of users in this case Library Science students.]]>

<![CDATA[Public library of Yogyakarta is a public space open for people and become a place for Yogyakarta’s people to read, discuss and study. Library service must be organized maximumly to meet people’s satisfaction. The ability to produce a good service is a main requirement of librarian especially for circulation service staff. Circulation service is a main core of the library. This research is aimed to know the perception of user on li- brarian’s attitude in circulation service. This research used the quantitative descriptive method. The result of research in circulation service in city library using skill based is good enough. This can be seen from the respon of librarian in giving good informations, the service is also meet the expectation of the users, librarian’s atti- tude is showing care, kind and fun. But the respon on book demand and positive inputs from users still need to be improved]]>
