Abstract

AbstrakSalah satu fenomena yang mengkhawatirkan akhir-akhir ini adalah munculnya sikap ekstrim dalam beragama, yang berpotensi memunculkan disintegrasi bangsa.Ekstremitas sikap ini antara lain disebabkan oleh jenis teologi yang dianut oleh karena itu, untuk membentengi semakin meluasnya ekstremitas ini dapat dilakukan antara lain dengan menghidupkankembali model teologi yang dipahami oleh masyarakat pesantren. Salah satu kitab terpenting yang dikaji di pesantren adalah Kitab Umm Barahin karya al-Sanusi . Apa isi dari kitab ini, bagaimana respon santri dan reinterpretasi ustadz terhadap kitab ini, merupakan fokus dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini mengambil locus di Pesantren Salafiyah Syafiiyah Situbondo Jawa Timur.Melalui analisa isi dan interteks, penelitian ini antara lain menemukanbahwa ternyata kitab ini hanya memuat empat puluhdelapan aqaid, bukan lima puluh sebagaimana yang dipahami khalayak ramai selama ini.Kata kunci: Masalah Teologis, Pesantren Salaf, Aqaid Sanusiah, Umm BarahinAbstractOne of the recent worriest phenomenan is the appearance of extreme religious attitudes that potentially drives national dissintegration. The extrimity can be carried out by theological doctrines. Therefore, in order to prevent the expanse of this extrimity, it is important to review theological models which have been understood and practiced by pesantren society. One of the books learnt in pesantren is Umm Barahin which was written by al-Sanusi. The contents of the book, how students respond to the teachings and how the teachers reinterprete the materials are the the main questions raised in this research. This research took place in Salafiyah Syafiiyah Pesantren Situbondo East Java. Through content and intertext analyses, this research finds out that this book consists of 48 aqaid (theological doctrines), not 50 aqaid as it is usually understood by common people or educated ones.Keywords: Theological Problems, Salaf Pesantren, Aqaid Sanusiah, Umm Barahin.

Abstract

AbstrakKonflik sering muncul ketika manusia bertindak secara ekslusif dengan hanya melihat diri sendiri dan kelompoknya. Beberapa tokoh pluralisme membuat konsep mengenai masyarakat inklusif dengan tujuan mengurangi terjadinya konflik. Nagara Indonesia memiliki potensi besar terjadinya konflik, hal ini disebabkan karena negara Indonesia terdiri dari berbagai suku, budaya dan agama. Apabila konflik tidak dikelola, maka potensi terjadinya dis-integrasi bangsa sangat besar. Meskipun hal ini dapat juga dilihat sebagai kekayaan bangsa, model masyarakat inklusif diperlukan bagi bangsa Indonesiasebagai alat pemersatu yang harus dipahami dan diajarkan dari generasi satu kepada generasi berikutnya.Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif-kualitatif yang sesuai dengan kondisi lokasi penelitian yaitu Bali dan Lampung. Analisis dilakukan melalui narasi dengan menggunakan informasi yang diperoleh dari informan atau partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya nilai-nilai inklusif dalam budaya masyarakat Bali yang tinggal di Pulau Bali. Masyarakat Bali yang sudah bergaul dengan berbagaibudaya, agama, politik dan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu model masyarakat inklusif dari kasus masyarakat Bali perlu dilakukan dalam usaha untuk bisa diuji-cobakan pada masyarakat yang berbeda, terutama pada wailayah negara Indonesia yang majemuk.Kata kunci: Bali, Inclussion community, menyama braya. AbstractConflict often occurs when people behave closed and exclusive by looking at himself and his group. Some authors propose the concept of inclusion community to reduce the conflict and towards a harmonious society. Indonesia has a huge potential for conflict to happendue to the number of tribe, religion, race and class, but on the other hand it has had a noble wealth in society, which needs to be exposed and arranged to become a teaching material  for future generations. That is why this research is done. This research uses descriptive qualitative method of setting Balinese case study in Bali andLampung. The analysis was conducted in the narrative and constructive way by involving various resource persons and participants. The Research shows that there is value in Balinese inclusion both in the province of Bali and Lampung province in various fields such as social, cultural, economic, and governance.For further research, the learning module of Balinese inclusion Community should be  made. A research on other wealth local communities besides Bali should also be made in Indonesia.Keywords: Bali, inclusion community, menyama braya.

Abstract

Sabil al-Muhtadin is a fiqh book written by Muhammadd Arsyad al-Banjari (d. 1812) in year 1193-1995 H / 1779-1781 A.D. Backgrounds of its written are, for example, desires to improve currently available Malay fiqh book entitled ash-Shirath al-Mustaqim written by Syekh Nuruddin Ar-Raniri. There are three significant thoughts on almsgiving / zakat described in Sabil al-Muhtadin, which are not explained in ash-Shirath al-Mustaqim. First, there are no obligation to almsgivingonjewelries except gold and silver jewelry. Second, portion of the needy are allowed to be utilized for production interests. Third, involvement of imam (leader) in managing zakat / almsgiving especially in giving zakat / almsgiving to the needy for productive interests. Those thoughts are evaluated by research team of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin and Rasyidah HA as the result of Al-Banjari’s individual interpretation and judment (ijtihad). Al-Banjari in his preface of Sabil al-Muhtadin described that during his writting of this book, he based on books written by muta'akkhirin scholars in Syafi’i mazhab in particular al-Anshari’s Fath al-Wahhab (d. 926), al-Haitami’s Tuhfat al-Muhtaj(d. 973), asy-Syarbini’s Mughni al-Muhtaj (d. 977) and ar-Ramli’s Nihayat al-Muhtaj (d. 1004). With the confession of Al-Banjari, it is necessary to do research using intertextual approach to find out whether those thoughts are the results of his individual interpretation and judgment (ijtihad). After reviewing all named references, it turnedout that what are evaluated as ijtihad results are already discussed by previous scholars.Key Words: The Needy, Productive almsgiving / Zakat, Intertextual, Ijtihad

Abstract

AbstrakAgama Islam dianut oleh sebagian besar penduduk Kalimantan Tengah yang terdiri dari berbagai etnis seperti Dayak, Banjar, Jawa, Madura, dan lainnya. Penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika hubungan intern umat Islam dalam konteks relasi etnisitas dan agama di Kalimantan Tengah. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana dinamika hubungan inten umat Islam, faktor pendukung kerukunan, dan strategi adaptasi membangun harmoni di Kalimanta Tengah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan telaah dokumen. Hubungan intern umat Islam di Kalimantan Tengah diwarnai dengan tanggapan terhadap konflik etnistahun 2001 antara Etnis Dayak dan Madura. Faktor yang mendukung kerukunan yang tercapai saat ini antara lain adanya daya tawar budaya, simbiosisme ekonomi, peran tokoh masyarakat, dan peran pemerintah. Adapun strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan untuk memelihara harmoni dilakukan secara kultural dengan revitalisasidan akulturasi budaya dan nilai-nilai lokal, serta secara struktural dengan politik uniformitas baik yang dilakukan oleh pranata Adat Dayak maupun pemerintah Kalimantan Tengah.Kata kunci: Kerukunan, Budaya Dominan, Politik Uniformitas, Strategi Adaptasi AbstractIslam is professed by the majority of people in Central Kalimantan who consists of various ethnic groups such as the Dayak, Banjar, Javanese, Madurese, and others. This study discusses about the dynamics of internal relationship among Muslim in the context of the relationship of ethnicity and religion in Central Kalimantan. The problems are how the dynamics of the internal relationship amongst Muslims in CentralKalimantan and what factors are supporting to the reconciliation and adaptation strategies to build harmony amongst them. This research was carried out with the qualitative approach in which data were collected through interviews, observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and document review. The results of the study showthat the internal relations among Muslims in Central Kalimantan was coloured by the responses to the ethnic conflict in 2001 between Dayaknese and Madurese. The study can also reveal that the factors which support to the achieved-harmony today are include the bargaining power of the culture, economic simbiosism, the roles of both community leaders and the local goventment. The adaptation strategies carried out to maintain the harmony were conducted in two ways: culturally (revitalizing and acculturating cultures and local values) and structurally (political uniformity which is performed not only by the social institution of Dayaknese but also by the localgovernment of Central Kalimantan).Keywords: Harmony, Dominant Culture, Politics Uniformity, Adaptation Strategies

Abstract

Abstract Since long time ago, pondok pesantren (islamic boarding school) has been considered as a moderate institution. It also gives priority to peaceful ways in dealing with conflict. Unfortunately, such known attitude is now being strongly questioned due to some vestedinterests found in the pesantren community. The various motives in religions, politics,economics, social, etc among the people lead pesantren to be vulnerable to conflict. Using qualitative method, this article intended to explore the mindset, characters, and attitudesof the people in pesantren in dealing with various “ikhtilaf” (disputes) that later used as means to portray peace cultures in the pesantren. The findings of the research showed that both pesantrens (Nurul Ummah and Ar-Romli) had never been in serious externalconflict. Saat ini sikapmoderat pondok pesantren mulai dipertanyakan. Ditemukan fakta adanya pamrih politik, ekonomi, dan sosial dalam komunitas pondok pesantren yang menyebabkannyamenjadi tidak imun konflik. Penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kualitatif bermaksud mengeksplorasi kembali pola pikir, pandangan, karakter, dan sikap pengasuh atau santri pesantren dalam menghadapi “ikhtilaf” baik dalam paham keagamaan, politik, maupun budaya. Hasil eksplorasi digunakan untuk mengkonstruksi ada tidaknyanilai-nilai atau budaya “damai” yang tumbuh di pesantren baik dari sisi sistem, proses, maupun instrumen. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua pondok pesantren (Nurul Ummah dan Ar-Romli Yogyakarta) belum pernah mengalami konflik ekstern yang membutuhkan penanganan mendalam. Meskipun demikian, kedua pondok pesantren ini sudah mengaplikasikan prinsip-prinsip budaya damai dan menghadapi ikhtilaf dengan bijak.Kata kunci: pesantren, ikhtilaf, budaya damai, Pesantren Nurul Ummah, Pesantren Ar-Romli

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to measure the difference in competence between certified teachers  and non certified teachers in Mataram. Teachers examined in this study are teachers of religion in MTs. This articleis a quantitative research using causal comperative method. The research design use factoral design 2x2. The technical of analysis data in this research include descriptive analysis, requirements test analysis, and inferential analysis. The study shows that here are differences in Islamic Education Teachers’ competence in MTs in Mataram. Further test shows that the results of certified teachers competency arebetter than the teachers who have not been certified. There is no difference in Islamic Education Teachers’ competence based on the teacher’s tenure. There is no interaction between teacher’s status and teacher’s tenure. This means that the status and tenure arethe two factors which are mutually independent. There were no differences between the student learning result who is taught by certified teachers and uncertified teachers in Mataram. There is difference in student learning result based on the teacher’s tenure.There is no interaction between student learning result based on the status and the tenure of teachers in Mataram. It is concluded that certified teachers in Mataram has a good profile.Keywords: Competence, Islamic Education Teachers, Certification. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur perbedaan kompetensi guru PAI MTs antara yang telah tersertifikasi maupun yang belum tersertifikasi di Kota Mataram. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode perbandingan kausal (causal comparative) desain faktoral 2x2. Teknis analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis deskripstif, uji persyaratan, dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 7 temuan sebagai berikut. (1) Terdapat perbedaan kompetensi guru PAI MTs di kota Mataram. Hasil uji lanjut diketahui bahwa kompetensi guru yang tersertifikasi lebihbaik daripada guru yang belum tersertifikasi. (2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kompetensi guru PAI MTs Kota Mataram dilihat dari masa kerja guru.(3) Tidak ada interaksi antara status guru dengan masa kerja guru. Hal ini berarti bahwa antara status dan masa kerjamerupakan dua faktor yang saling independent. (4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar peserta didik dilihat dari status guru yang tersertifikasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajar oleh guru yang belum tersertifikasi di kota Mataram (5) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik dilihat dari masa kerja guru. (6) Tidak ada interaksi faktor hasil belajar peserta didik dilihat dari status dan masa kerja guru di Kota Mataram (7) Diperoleh profil guru PAI MTs di kota Mataram yang tersertifikasi yang secara umummemiliki profil baik.Kata kunci: Kompetensi, Guru PAI MTs, Sertifikasi.

Abstract

Naikolan is name of one village in the city of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggararegion. In the area stood a mosque and a tomb where Muslims are located sideby side with people of non-Muslim graves. Places of worship and the tombbecame a symbol of harmony between faiths, because both places are givingreligious Kupang King Christian to it Muslim relatives. The mosque was theembryo of the Muslim community in Kupang that the mosque neighborhoodknown as the Muslim village. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to identify the scope of religious sermons and materials in different mosques in Solo, and identify multicultural and anti-multicultral aspects presented in sermons. Using qualitative method and content analysis, the research found the following conclusions: First, the diversity of communities—ethnic, cultural, or religious— has received little attention from the preacher at various mosques and majelis taklim. Second, in addition to multicultural values, sermons and religious lectures contains some values of anti-multicultural, such as prejudice and stereotypes against other groups, particularly in relation to the non-Muslim and western countries. Third, the sermons material and religious lectures implied the intensity of purification. Along with the movement, religious preaching implied resistance to local culture (Java), which is considered as the main source of religious impurity. Finally, the development trend of Islam in Solo implies religious radicalization as reflected in hostility towards the local culture, foreigners and non-Muslims.Keywords: multiculturalism, antimulticulturalism, radicalism, mosque, religious speech AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi lingkup materi khotbah agama dan khotbah di masjid-masjid dan majelis taklim di Solo, dan mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek multikultural dan anti-multikultural yang disampaikan dalam khotbah dan ceramah. Riset ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan analisis isi. Studi ini menemukan kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Pertama, keragaman masyarakat—etnis, budaya, atau agama—mendapat sedikit perhatian dari pengkhotbah di berbagai masjid dan majelis taklim. Kedua, di samping nilai-nilai multikultural, khotbah dan ceramah keagamaan berisi beberapa nilai-nilai anti-multikultural, seperti prasangka dan stereotip terhadap kelompok lain, khususnya dalam hubungan dengan non-Muslim dan negara-negara barat. Ketiga, materi khotbah dan ceramah keagamaan tersirat intensitas gerakan pemurnian. Seiring dengan gerakan, berkhotbah keagamaan tersirat perlawanan terhadap budaya lokal (Jawa), yang dianggap sebagai sumber utama ketidakmurnian agama. Akhirnya, perkembangan Islam di Solo menyiratkan kecenderungan radikalisasi agama sebagaimana tercermin dalam sikap permusuhan terhadap budaya lokal, orang asing, dan non-Muslim.Kata kunci: multikulturalisme, anti-multikulturalisme, radikalisasi, masjid, ceramah keagamaan

Abstract

AbstractThe manuscript of Sirr al-Lathīf was Sufism text at early XX century, that proven the existence and dynamic of Sufism thought at Kalimantan, and Nusantara in general. The analysetrhe content of the text, this use Gadamer’s semiphilological hermeneutics analysis. The result of the researchs are: firstly, the way verses of the Fatiha are believed in the text to be located in the body organs in human being, has been part of human being, explains that the text is not an interpretation but mystical the Fatiha. Secondly,the elaboration of the prayer (sembahyang) in the Sirral-Lathīf isunique and couldnpt be found in fiqh schools. He tried to relate the sembahyang as an union of God and slave. And thirdly, elaboration of insānkāmil (the perfect man) as representation of the perfectman, not different from concepts of mainstreamsufi.The script tend to use symbolization toovercomethe limitations ofverbalwordstoreveala veryintimaterelationship.Keywords: Sirr al-Lathīf, Yahya, Gadamer, wujudiyah, and insān kāmil. AbstrakNaskah Sirr al-Lathīf adalah naskah tasawuf pada awal abad XX yang menjadi bukti eksistensi dan dinamika pemikiran tasawuf di Kalimantan, dan Nusantara pada umumnya. Untuk mengkaji kandungan naskah digunakan teknik semi filologis dengan analisishermeneutika Gadamer. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah: pertama, ayat-ayat surat alFatihah dipercayai terletak pada organ-organtubuh manusia, yang mengisyaratkan bahwa ia sudah built in dalam diri manusia. Dengan demikian, penjelasan ini bukanlah sebuah tafsir, melainkan mistisisasi surat al-Fatihah. Kedua, penjelasan sembahyang (salat) dalam naskah Sirr al-Lathīf mempunyai kekhasan yang tidak ditemukan dalam penjelasan fikih. Ia mencoba menghubungkan sembahyang sebagai penyatuan antara Tuhan dan hamba. Dan ketiga, penjelasan insān kāmil sebagai representasi dari manusia yang sempurna, tidak jauh berbeda dengan konsep-konsep dari para sufi mainstream. Namun, naskah ini lebih banyak menggunakan simbolisasi untuk menggambarkan keterbatasan kata-kata verbal untuk mengungkapkan hubungan yang sangat intim tersebut. Kata kunci: Sirr al-Lathīf, Yahya, Gadamer, wujudiyah, dan insān kāmil.
