Abstract

In providing qualified, physically, and mentally health graduates, students' mental health should be paid more attention than before. As the mental-health affects a person's psychological condition, in this preliminary research, we seek to formulate the strategy in giving a framework for the PDC program. Academic advisors (dosen wali) became participants in this study. We consider them to know better what students need and can realize an effort to prevent mental health problems. The research used qualitative data and the FGD method to gain the data. The results indicated that how academic advisors need student mental health service as part of the academic process, which showed the crucial issues related to college student mental health.

Abstract

This study shows the causes of sociology education students' difficulties in making higher order thinking (HOT) tests. The method applied is the mix method through FGD data collection and questionnaires. The results showed that it was difficult for students to make HOT questions because 1) it was challenging to create stimulus questions, 2) lack of understanding of sociology material, 3) lack of mastery of Bloom's taxonomy application, 4) insufficient learning time, and 5) lecturer explanations were not good. Therefore, recommendations for effective learning improvement are needed, including using the principle of discovery learning

Abstract

Higher Education is the highest level of education in the education service business in Indonesia which produces bachelor or diploma graduates to meet the competitive needs of the workforce. This study aims to analyze the increase in student loyalty which is influenced by the quality of academic services and satisfaction of S1 and D3 STIESIA Surabaya students. This study uses a quantitative approach to determine the correlation of student loyalty which is influenced by the role of academic service quality and student satisfaction. This research method uses path analysis. The results showed an increase in student loyalty which was influenced by the role of academic service quality due to high student satisfaction

Abstract

The behavior of people living in Surabaya is different from people from other cities, including the shopping behavior of the students in Surabaya. Students in Surabaya have more temptation to behave negatively in shopping. It encourages the occurrence of irregularities in shopping. Such action is classified as compulsive buying. Compulsive buying is a spending behavior based on a strong desire that makes people lose consciousness and can not control themself. This study aims to analyze the effect of sales promotion, cashless payment, social environment, and financial condition on compulsive buying on university students in Surabaya. The method used is descriptive analysis with multiple cross-sectional designs. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. The result of this research showed that sales promotion, cashless payment, and financial condition variables have a positive effect on compulsive behavior on university students in Surabaya

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Muhammadiyah Institute in disaster mitigation in Sinjai region. As a large organization in Sinjai, Muhammadiyah serves as the government’s partner in promoting disaster preparedness to the public via institutions that were founded on the level of Regional Leadership and the level of business charity. This research uses descriptive analysis with qualitative methods. The respondents were Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders, Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Institutions, and Muhammadiyah cadres in the Sinjai region. The results of this study indicated that the institution, since the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah Sinjai founded it, had not had a work program. Thus, the agency has not yet significantly contributed to disaster mitigation. All cadres who exist in the structure of the institution are cadres in various other organizations that can be resources in achieving organizational goals
