Abstract

Littering behavior studies are essential amid high waste conditions in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze changes in the student's littering behavior through a reinforcement program. Based on a case study at Junior High School in Depok, West Java, and use an explorative - qualitative approach, the study found that students' littering behavior can be categorized as active and passive. Active littering behavior in students is based on students' lack of concern for the environment due to a low knowledge of the impact of waste. Then passive littering behavior is caused by habits that delay littering even though they have an awareness of the waste dangers. Continuous reinforcement at school in positive and negative reinforcement can reduce student littering behavior, both actively and passively. The school's commitment to implementing environmental programs such as the "Green School Program" is needed to minimize students' littering behavior. The effectiveness of this program is determined by the commitment of students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders in terms of food vendors in the school canteen.

Abstract

One way of conventional medicine in Indonesia is the herbal medicinal plant tobacco which is a controversial plant. However, currently, many types of businesses offer health services using alternative medicine using traditional medicine. Of course, this is contrary to the anti-tobacco campaign launched by the government and the regulations on tobacco contained in various laws and regulations. Therefore, this study aims to examine how the legal system regarding tobacco is related to conflicts of interest in tobacco use for treatment. This research is normative juridical research. Through a statutory and conceptual approach, the aim is to understand the importance of using tobacco as alternative medicine. The results of this study are that the government should make tobacco a priority for traditional medicine media and provide legality to community therapy houses because it is proven that tobacco can make a positive contribution to improving health.

Abstract

North Borneo has always been the object of international interests and politics. This situation is the effect of socio-demographic plurality that led to the absence of a cohesive socio-political identity that can unite them together. This study aims to analyze the social demographic history of the people of North Borneo (Kalimantan) in the 19th and 20th centuries to understand the complex geopolitics in the region during the decolonialisation process in the post-Second World War. Using a literature review, there are some points concluded, first, the Malay Sultanate of Brunei had dominated the political structure of the area that influenced the foundation of the Malay social system in North Borneo for the following centuries. Second, the colonial project of James Brooke changed the social order in North Borneo with the significant presence of non-Malay groups such as the Chinese until the mid-20th century. Third, the Japanese occupation during the Second World War had brought nationalism among the natives. This spirit had led to an attitude of ethnonationalism that makes it was challenging to build a cohesive national identity among different ethnic groups there. Fourth, after the war, regional conflicts due to the Cold War triggered differences in political systems among the new states that gained independence

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine and analyze based on the principles of social and economic justice on how to grow prosperity during a recession in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as it is today through the strategy of providing social security to affected communities. By involving literature review or normative research methods along with a qualitative approach and legislation, this study found that the law on the security system stipulates that social security includes six forms of social security, including health security, work accident security, old-age security, pension security, death security, and job loss security. it's just that the problem is for those who do not pay dues or participate in the government's social security program. Their welfare must also be considered as mandated by the constitution of the 1945 Constitution. And in the principle of socio-economic justice, social security must be prioritized for the poor and underprivileged who are felt to be in more social need to achieve equity and social welfare
