Abstract

otential dairy development enhanced by availability of food, farmers knowledge, the demand for milk, farmer's income, market infrastructure, the role of credit institutions and government policies. The study aims are to analyze the condition of the resource, technical and economic aspects in the business of dairy cattle as well as alternative strategies for deployment. Research conducted using survey method. The results showed that the relative resource support dairy cattle business, family’s labor and the motivation to develop, fodder and traditional medicines obtained in the environment of the area, population LQ categorized as a regional base. Technical in dairy cattle business well known and economically advantageous RCR value of 2.22; GMP 56%; NPM 52%; TAT 48%; and the ROI of 11%. Based on the SWOT strategy in developing the dairy cattle business in the District of Pangkalan Kerinci is SO strategy (Strength-Opportunity), which is a strategy that supports an aggressive growth (Growth oriented), using enforcement utilization of opportunities and policy based on priorities. The development policies stategy consisting improving capital acces, maximized culture technology, increasing cattle population and production, improving farmer knowledge in diversification of agroindustri product, creating adequate forage, improving product competitiveness, and product promotion.

Abstract

Corn yield improved by genetic improving, plant population and fertilizer. The experiment aims to knowing the effect off row circle planting method and hybrid corn variety toward population and yield of corn. The experiment was conducted on August- November 2015 in Siman, Ponorogo, altitude 140 amsl and textured clay grumosol soil types. The experiment was a factorial experiment in a complete block randomized design with two factor and three replications. The first factor was hybrid corn varieties (Bisi-18, NK-7328, Pertiwi-3, and Pioneer-27). The second factor was row circle planting method (single manner with interval planting of 60x40x20 cm; row circle planting method with interval planting of 60x100 cm and 100x50x50 cm). The result showed not significantly interaction between row circle planting method and hybrid corn varieties with respect to population total and corn yield. Row circle planting method with interval planting 100x50x50 cm increased plant population about 164.413 plants/ha and significantly different with single manner with interval planting of 60x40x20 cm (62,881 plants/ha) and row circle planting method with interval planting 60x100 cm (136,774 plants/ha). Hybrid corn varieties was not significantly increased plant population. Pioneer-27 variety of hybrid corn produced weight of wet corn logs by 17,22 ton/Ha and significantly different with Bisi-18, NK-7328 and Pertiwi-3. Hybrid corn varieties was not significantly affects to increasing produce of dry corn kernels. Variety of Pioneer-27 produced dry corn kernels 7,28 ton/ha and was not significantly different with varieties of Bisi-18, NK-7328, and Pertiwi-3. Variety of NK-7328 had percentage weight of wet corn logs into dry corn kernels as big as 55,38% bigger than varieties of Bisi-18, Pertiwi-3 and Pioneer-27.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of planting pattern and organic fertilizers to growth and yield ofrice (Oryza sativa L.). The research was carried out at January - May 2015 in Toyaning Village, Rejoso Regency, Pasuruan, 2 m above the sea level with alluvial soil type and an average temperature of 22oC-31oC.  Research applied with  Random Group Design with six treatments: conventional Planting move (Tapin)  without organic manure, Jajar legowo (JA) without organic manure, SRI without organic manure (SA), conventional Planting move with organic manure (TO), Jajar legowo with organic manure (JO), SRI with organic manure (SO). The results showed the pattern jajar legowo give best expression plant heigh, the dry weight of the plant top at age 14 day after plant (HST), grain weights/compartments,  and net weighted/acres. Conventional planting move gives better response on the dry weight of the plant top at 50 HST, and dry weights bottom plant at 14 HST. The SRI planting pattern give best response number of saplings and the number of saplings of productive/clump, grain weight/clump, and weight of 1000 grain. The treatment of planting pattern with the addition of organic manure gives higher yields rather than without organic manure. Yield of Jajar Legowo is 10.2 tons/ha,  highest than other 10.1 2 ton/ ha for Tapin and  68.05 ton/ha for SRI

Abstract

Land conversion has changed the field carryng capacity and filed quality. The purpose of this study is to figured out of field wideness Nagari Taram, and to analyze the availability and suitability of agricultural land Nagari Taram. Analysis of Field carrying capacity based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 17 of 2009, following by Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results, agricultural land based on type of ecosystem in the by area Nagari Taram is 1003.5 hectares consisting rice fields, dry land, ponds and open waters. Availability of agricultural land Nagari Taram is a surplus. stability of Nagari Taram slopes are low, high, less and medium. analysis showing field carrying suitability Nagari Taram is suitable for land agricultural.

Abstract

The aim of research are to study effect of planting time and plant density of corn to growth and yield of taro using policulture system. The research carried out at September 2012- Juli 2013 in Landungsari Village, Malang. Research applied with split plot design, where planting time as main plot consisting: 30 days before taro planting, same time taro and corn planting and 30 days after taro planting. The density between subplots are 15.000 plants/ha, 29.000 plants/ha and 43.000 plants/ha which repeated three times. Result showed the best planting time in policulture of taro and corn is planted corn 30 days afer planted taro, taro yield 14,12 ton/ha. The corn best density is 15.000 plant/ha which resulting yield 16,13 ton/ha.
