Abstract

One of the factors causing ineffective puskesmas management information system (simpus) application is the low puskesmas employee involvement. The purposes of the research are identifying causal factors of the low employee involvement from individual and organizational factors, and analyzing alternatives of step of Brebes District Health Department (DKK Brebes) to enhance puskesmas employee involvement. The research objects were DKK Brebes and 4 of its UPT (2 good employee involvement puskesmas, and 2 low employee involvement puskesmas). The individual factors research subjects were all puskesmas employees involved voluntarily and mandatorily in simpus application (8 employees in good employee involvement puskesmas, and 6 in low employee involvement puskesmas). The organizational factors research subjects were the Chief of Program Development and Health Resources of DKK Brebes, a professional staff of Information Management and Health Program Development section, a simpus staff in Jatibarang Puskesmas, and a simpus coordinator in Brebes Puskesmas.  Data was collected by deep interview, questioner, and observation.  The data analysis techniques were descriptive statistic and non statistic analysis. The research showed that the main individual factors causing the low employee involvement were the limited knowledge and skill of puskesmas employees. Based on organizational factors (DKK Brebes and puskesmas), the causal factors were simpus management, change management, and learning organization development that were not optimum.  Alternatives of step of DKK Brebes to enhance puskesmas employee involvement in simpus application: (1) building better simpus management; (2) creating change management based on puskesmas condition; and (3) developing better learning organization in puskesmas.

Abstract

The study analyzed the effect of business environment factors on manufacturing strategy. Data was collected from 43 organisations in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The analyses using Multivariate Multiple Regression Analysis (MMRA) found the results that simultaneously the factors of business environment effected manufacturing strategy. But, partially they did not. Only business cost, labor availability, and market dynamism significantly influenced manufacturing strategy.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis factors that influence lecture’s performance at Kopertis V Yogyakarta.  Based on theory, several variables has been constructed. They are motivation, competency, leadership, and work environment justice are predictors of performance. This research was executed in Kopertis V Yogyakarta with 150 participants. The results supported motivation, competency, and leadership justice has strong predictive to lecture’s performance, but work environment has not influence to lecture’s performance at Kopertis V Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Brands are importance in the consumer market. Brand defined as name, term, sign symbol or design or a combination of them, intended to identify the goods or service of one seller or group of seller and to differentiate them from those competitors. Brands become interface between consumers and the company and consumers may develop loyalty to brands.This study proposes that trust in a brand is important and is key in development of brand loyalty. Trust in a brand is consumer’s willingness to rely on the brand in the face risks, hoping that the brand can give positive results to them. There were three factors hypothesized to influence trust in a brand (Lau and Lee, 1999) include a number of brand characteristics (includes, brand reputation, brand predictability, and brand competence); company characteristics (includes, trust in a company, company reputation, company perceived motives, and company integrity); consumer-brand characteristics (includes, similarity between consumer self concept and brand personality, brand liking, brand experience, brand satisfaction, and peer support).This study used simple regression and multiple regression to analyzed the data. The sample was drawn by a convenience sampling technique. The Sample was 140 passengers of Apple Computer Users were stayed in Yogyakarta. To achieve reliable and valid data we used reliability and construct validity test with confirmatory factor analysis.The results showed that not all of the independent variables from company characteristics, and consumer-brand characteristics have a positive significant effect to trust in a brand however that all of the independent variable from brand characteristics have a significant effect to trust in a brand. The findings reveal that brand characteristics are relatively more important in their effects on consumer’s trust in a brand. The result also showed that trust in a brand is positively related to brand loyalty.

Abstract

In the reformation era is signed by shifting role policy from central government to local government. South Sulawesi is one district at east Indonesia have so many potensial resources to increase the economic welfare. But in the other side they have several problem and constraint to utilize the natural and human resources. One of the main problem to promote east Indonesia economy is how to increase economic potential such as small business enterprise (SBE), informal economic sector, cooperative, agriculture, trade, and any others. Investment is the machine to generate the Indonesian economy. The policy to promote investment is caused with political will and public administration. To promote foreign and domestic investment in province south Sulawesi facing plenty of factor mainly social politic condition, sufficiently of economic infrastructure, employment and taxation problem, ect. Investment in south Sulawesi is also caused by consistenly interaction between local government and central government and among government institution. The aim of this research is to identify and analyse the potensial sector at province south Sulawesi. This research is identify and compare the impact of public policy to economic performance at province south Sulawesi. The research use multimethod analysis to answer the goals of this research. The conclusion of this research that there are several economic that have many constraint and problem. The main problem to promote economic performance at provinsi south Sulawesi mainly infrastructure, financial assestment, managerial skill, marketing, quality control and networking. The suggestion of this research is how to promote the condusive circumstance with comprehensive economic policy and also support with keeping social politic stability, sufficiently of economic infrastructure and the wholism policy between central and local government and others government institution.

Abstract

This thesis aims to determine the effect of work discipline, motivation, organizational culture, and work stress on teacher’s job satisfaction at the high school under the Yayasan Muhammadiyah Purworejo District. The research results showed that there are positive effects of variable work discipline of teacher’s job satisfaction evidenced by the regression coefficient of 0.156 with p value = 0.024 0.05, positive influence motivational variables of teacher’s job satisfaction evidenced by the regression coefficient of 0.218 with p value = 0.018 0.05, positive influence on organizational culture variables job satisfaction of teachers demonstrated the regression coefficient of 0.472 with p value = 0.000 0.05, negative effect of work stress variables on teachers' job satisfaction evidenced by the regression coefficient of - 0.233 with p value = 0.000 0.05 and positive influence of work discipline, motivation, and organizational culture stress work simultaneously on teacher’s job satisfaction evidenced by the regression coefficient value of 42.367 with p value = 0.000 0.05 with an influence of 62.60%.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the level of service quality of Syariah Bank which is compare between Conventional Bank services quality, used 6 dimensions CARTER model (Othman Owen, 2001). The subject of this research is a people who have an account  in Syariah Bank and also have account in Conventional Bank. This research takes a place in Yogyakarta. The result of this research indicated that service quality based on 6 dimension CARTER model in Syariah Bank more higher really than Conventional Bank  with  range 0,3275 from 5 Likert scale (6,55%). If based on 5 dimension SERVQUAL model (without Compliance dimension) there is no difference between Syariah Bank and Conventional Bank in service quality. Compliance dimension in Syariah Bank more higher really than Conventional Bank with range 2,24 from 5 Likert scale (44,8 %). In the other way, Assurance, Reliability, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness dimensions there are no differences  real.

Abstract

The brand awareness is a basic dimension in brand equity. One brand does not have any equity unless the consumers are awareness of the existence of the brand itself. The brand awareness of one product in the costumers’ mind is really important to notice and organize. Because of the importance of organizing brand awareness of one product, the objective of this research is to measure the brand awareness of the consumers’ of note book towards note book in Zyrex brand. The population in this research is the users of note book in Yogyakarta. The numbers of sample in this research are 100 people. The research uses convenience sampling that is the sampling method based on the easy and accessible selection of population members in getting information. Meanwhile, the sample in this research is those who use note book. The measurement of brand awareness is started by the questionnaire data tabulation; continued by the questionnaire data classification about top of mind, brand recall, brand recognition, and unaware of brand then continued by the percentage accounting. Based on the test done and the numbers of users, most of respondents use notebook of Acer brand. Whereas based on the level of awareness, for top of mind, many respondents remember the Acer brand firstly. Based on the brand recall, many respondents remember Compaq as the second brand of notebook they are able to remember. In addition, for the brand recognition, it shows that there are some respondents need to remind about the notebook brand of Zyrex
