Abstract

Financial inclusion programs in Asia began to intensify with focus on improving public access, especially those who have not yet enjoyed banking services. This makes financial inclusion one of the focuses of development in the financial sector in various countries, especially ASEAN, as a sound financial system can promote economic growth. This study aims to see the comparison of financial nclusion rates and see the effect of socio-economic variables on financial inclusion in ASEAN countries 2010-2015. In order to see the comparison of nclusion level of finance in each ASEAN country, the Index of Financial Inclusion (IFI) method was developed by Sarma (2008), while to examine the relationshipbetween socio-economic variables to financial inclusion, the Ordinary Least quare (OLS) method was used estimation techniques in the Random Effects Model approach. The results show that in general, financial inclusion in ASEAN countries is mainly influenced by the dimension of a disorder. In addition, only per-capita GDP variables are not significant partially. While other variables, namely population over 15 years, unemployment rate, and the number of people n rural areas have a significant influence on index of financial inclusion.

The problem is how much influence the industrial sector has on the economic growth in Deli Serdang. The purpose of this study to determine the magnitude of the influence of industrial sector on economic growth Deli Serdang. The industrial sector has a value of LQ> 1 means the industrial sector is a leading sector for Deli Serdang. To know the magnitude of industrial sector influence on the economic growth, linear regression model is used. This study uses time series data from 1993-2015 taken from BPS North Sumatra. The result of analysis shows that 15% of economic growth variation can be explained by industry sector while 85% is explained by other independent variable which is not included in research model. The value of these negative constants shows that without the leading sector of the industry the economic growth in deli serdang decreases. The estimation result of Deli Serdang's economic growth function is influenced by the industry's leading sectors having a positive and significant influence with 95% confidence level.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the goals of the concept of sustainable development. Sustainable Development itself has many indicators such as economic, social, cultural, environment, etc. But in this study, the authors take only a few factors from an economic point of view. Economic growth, open unemployment rate, regional imbalance rate and human development index are some factors that are considered to describe poverty level in East Java Province. This research uses Fixed Effect (FEM) model panel data regression in 38 regencies/cities in East Java Province in 2011-2015. The results of this study indicate that the variables of economic growth and open unemployment variables have no significant effect in describing the level of poverty in East Java. While the variable level of regionalimbalance and variable of HDI have the significant effect on poverty in East Java. Therefore, to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs), the reduction of poverty in various regions requires a balance of social and economic, not only through the increase of high economic growth but must be accompanied with equitable distribution of income distribution so that the level of regional inequality is smaller and by improving the quality of resources human beings through Human Development Index (HDI) in each region.
