Abstract

One of the distinguishing features between the ruling class with the lower class is language. The higher stratum of someone then he has a tendency to use the language as well as, as smooth as, or as a good order as possible. But this credo does not apply to Basuki Tjahaja Purnama called  Ahok, as Head of Jakarta region,  he communicates in a language far from polite, smooth, and well,  sometime he uses rough language, gratuitous, even invective. Ahok selected to be analyzed because in the social fact Ahok is deemed to have a behavior that is controversial that reveals the good government jargon without corruption and nepotism with languages that are far from a good order of language used by the elits. This article tries to analyze and compare the language of politics that used by Ahok that represent the ruling class of the ruling in a metropolis and became the capital of the State in the reform era (freedom) with the language used in the era of Soeharto.

Abstract

This paper tries to discuss the relationship between the EFL teachers’ beliefs and their teaching practice. It is interesting to note that practically being exposed to the same materials, curriculum, students and environment, teachers conduct their teaching in varied ways. It can be seen from how students receive and build their image about their teachers. It also reflects the effectiveness of the practice they do. Therefore, it will be very useful to understand whether their teaching practice, including class and curriculum management, is influenced by their beliefs or not. This article embraces the theoretical review and previous studies conducted in this field.  This will lead to how teachers should understand about themselves and their profession, consecutively they will be able to develop their competence through activities that can enhance their positive beliefs which will enlighten their teaching practice and maintain effective teaching practice in their classroom.

Abstract

Verbal communication in the development of  learning of the Arabic Language based media bithaqah jaibiyah, is a must for every teacher of Arabic language in any development of tazwidul mufrodat which in the end going to support, encourage and motivate students, both in speaking skills (maharah al-kalam), Listening (maharah istima’), reading (maharah qiro’ah), and also writing (maharah kitabah). Verbal communication in teaching learning of arabic by  using media bithaqah al-jaibiyah, can be done and applied through two activities at once in any learning, namely: pre workout communication and communication exercises. In pre workout communication, there are some techniques which is very possible, such as : memorization of the dialog (al-hifdz ‘ala al-hiwar), dialog through images (al-hiwar bi al-suwar), guding dialog (al-hiwar al-muwajjah), a dramatization of the action (al-tamtsil al-suluki), technique on practice patterns (tathbiq al-namadzij). While the activities that can be done in the exercise of communication are, among others: group of conversations (al-hiwar al-jama’i), role play (al-tamtsil), social utterance practice (tathbiq al-ta’birat al-ijtima’iyah), field practice (al-mumarasah fi al-mujtama’), solving problem (hill al-musykilat). The Communication on Arabic learning through media bithaqah al-jaibiyah,  going to success if we could develop dan improve students  motivation, interests and talents of students itself in the use and utilize the  media bithaqah jaibiyah, that the same use proportionally and professionally by the teacher in the field of study of the Arabic language so that the out put that is produced in accordance with the expectations and targets set out in the standards of competence of graduates of a madrasah or school.

Abstract

One of students’ difficulties in comprehending a reading text is their limited vocabulary. Therefore, this article is aimed to provide practical recommendation for EFL teachers to use picto-text (pictorial and textual) glosses in reading materials to help students’ become familiar to the terms used in the text that will eventually improve their reading comprehension.

Abstract

The word discourse is not only called in discourse analysis of texts media, or rather the communication, but also some disciplines, among others such as psychology, sociology, political or literature and others. Because of the difference in the scope of science, a word that has been popular usually have multiple meanings or different definition  as well according to various scientists from the scientific fields above and what is circulating in the community. Discourse is meant here is the analysis of the packaging on the shape of the structure or form of an interview as well as the practices of the communicator. Language here becomes a tool as an intermediary extend the hand of power in the point of politics through the depiction of subjects in which there are the interests of ideology.

Abstract

The role of reference in the scientific activities, the dissertation writing, thesis, theses, papers, journals, books, are very urgent, its presence is vital to the perfection and accuracy of writing. Arabic reference is very varied and diverse, either it is from makhtutat (manuscript), ummahat al kutub (the parent reference) in every discipline of the Islamic sciences and Arabic language and literature. Arabic references and literatures are very diverse , in accordance with the various sciences of linguistic studies, for example : the science of al lughah (linguistics), fiqhu al lughah (philology), adab al-lughah (literature), balaghah (the beauty of language), al-mawsoo'ah al lughawiyyah wal adabiyah (encyclopedia of language & literature), and etc . The first study in linguistics starts from the dictionaries and linguistic /philology.

Abstract

The students often find some problems in practising English speaking. The problem frequently found is that their native language causes them difficult to use the foreign language. Other reason is because of motivation lack to practice the second language in daily conversation. They are also too shy and afraid to take part in the conversation. Many factors can cause the problem of the students’ speaking skills namely the students’ interest, the material, and the media among others including the technique in teaching English. There are many ways that can be done by the students to develop their ability in speaking English. The appropriate technique used by the English teacher also supports their interested in practising their speaking. One of the techniques that can be applied is role play.

Abstract

التقويم من العناصر المهمة في تعليم المهارة اللغوية. وفي تعليم المهارة اللغوية نوعان وهي المهارة الاستقبالية والمهارة الإنتاجية، فالمهارة الاستقبالية تحتوي من الاستماع والقراءة، والمهارة الإنتاجية وهي الكلام والكتابة. والتقويم في المهارة الاستقبالية غير المهارة الإنتاجية، فإن المواد التقويمية في مهارة الكلام والكتابة واضحة لأن الكلام والكتابة هو الإنتاج اللغوي. أما المواد التقويمية في المهارة الاستقبالية فإنها من القضايا الخفية، لأن الاستماع والقراءة وسيلتا الاستقبال اللغوي وتجري عملية الاستقبال في مخ الإنسان. بناء على ذلك  تعرض لكم هذه المقالة عن المتطلبات الأساسية في المهارة الاستقبالية حيث أنها تكون المواد التقويمية تشتمل من العناصر اللغوية، ثم العناصر فوق تركيبية الكامنة في الكلام، ثم الاختبارات عن فهم المسموع و المقروء. وأما بالنسبة إلى الاختبار من حيث الوسيلة فكانت الإجابة من تقويم المهارة الاستقبالية تأتي على شكل الكلام والكتابة والاستجابة الجسمية أي العملية.

Abstract

An important element in an event that involves a character is a conflict. The event without a conflict makes the story uninteresting. The problems that become the focus of this study are the conflict in children’s short story in Bobo Magazine and its implementation in appreciational learning of fictional prose. The conflicts in children’s short story in Bobo Magazine can be classified into internal and external conflicts. The results of conflict analysis in children short story in Bobo Magazine can be implemented in learning of literature to the students of Elementary School/Islamic Elementary School. Through understanding the various conflicts in children's stories, students can manage themselves. Students are able to learn from mistakes made by the actors there without doing the same mistakes.

Abstract

Language is a power, it has a an important role to reach special goal. The use of language in superintensif, including the abuse of language with its various aspects so prominent in the world of poliitk, especially in Indonesia. In the era of globalization of the market and current information, it is difficult to imagine the existence of the forum or the stage of communication of political that is free from the influence of the market or the state. Its a product of fight and political engineering has given rise to a power structure that emphasizes more on the role of the executive that is greater than the legislative or judicial branches. Some distortion of language in political communication is the language as a mask, as a project to forget. The use of language is distorted, among others, that the power of a garden owned by the ruler can still survive. The availability of public space will be effective for the discourse on the counterculture if offset by structural changes in society, especially regarding the relationship between the elite with the masses.
