Abstract

The multivariate forecasting model is a model of forecasting that takes into the causal relationship between a prediction factor with one or more independent variables. This study uses multivariate forecasting model that are transfer function and neural network model. The transfer function and neural network model are used for forecasting of closing stock price data by considering the opening stock price data as the independent variable in the forecasting model. The data used in this study is the monthly closing stock price and opening stock price data of PT. Bank Central Asia, Tbk. The best model for forecasting of closing stock price is a transfer function model that has MSE, MAPE, and MAE values ??smaller than the neural network model. Keywords: transfer function, neural network, opening stock price, closing stock price

Abstract

Abstract: The statistical method plays a role in scientific research. Use of appropriate statistical methods in analyzing data influences research conclusions. Misuse statistical methods will lead to incorrect conclusions. This study aims to identify the misuse of statistical methods in articles published in the OJS UNUD Journals. We reviewed 97 articles from OJS UNUD Journals published in 2017. This study found several misuse statistical methods these included: misuse multiple linear regression analysis, generalize conclusions based on descriptive statistics, inappropriate use of ANOVA, misinterpretation of negative correlation values, use of Chi square test for small samples, use of t-test two samples for observations with ordinal scale Keywords: statistical methods, misuse statistical, OJS UNUD Journal

Abstract

Deforestation and forest degradation issue due to economic activity is a major problem in East Borneo. The results of data analysis from Environmental Agency stated East Borneo produced the biggest ammount of CO2 emissions after the Central Borneo and Riau. These emissions mostly come from land-based business sector, industry and transportation. In other side, these sectors are the highest contributor to the total number of Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP). The aim of this research is to identify the effect of the goverment policy to decrease CO2 emissions towards economic growth. The data in this research were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Path Analysis (PA). The results showed that the decrease in the amount of CO2 emissions resulting in decrease in the amount of GDRP. Keywords: CO2 Emissions, Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP), Principal Component Analysis, Path Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract : The tourism industry in Jembarana Regency of Bali is currently still hobbling. His contribution to the Jembrana Regional budget is still very minimal. Indeed accessibility to tourist destinations in Jembrana is often an obstacle for tourists, but internal factors that affect the performance of Jembrana tourism businesses are very important to be studied and analyzed, especially for tourism businesses actors and the role of government of the Jembrana Regency. Internal factors in tourism business are strongly influenced by the capacity of social capital, entrepreneurial culture of tourism actors and the role of the government in the development of tourism business. Based on a survey and structured interviews on 75 tourism entrepreneurs in Jembrana Regency of Bali, modeling by SEM-PLS with the help of Smart PLS 3.0 software, the results obtained are: (1) structural equation model has met the appropriate qualifications, the measurement model obtained is valid and reliable, while the structural model is quite good, (2) the performance of tourism businesses in Jembrana Regency is positively and significantly influenced by orientation entrepreneurship and the role of government but insignificant influence on social capital, and (3) internal factors that affect the performance of tourism businesses in Jembrana Regency of Bali; sequentially are: entrepreneurial orientation of business people, the role of government in tourism development, and finally the capacity of social capital owned by tourism entrepreneurs. Key Words: Social Capital, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Role of Government, Tourism Business Performance

Abstract

Unemployment insurance is designed to overcome some of the financial problems faced by workers who have been involuntarily terminated from their jobs. The benefit insurance is financed based on the contributory from an employer, employee or government in recent times, some developing countries have been establishing unemployment insurance. This research aims to analyze the unemployment insurance products in Indonesia. Especially to analyze the financial viability of the product. The method used is the equivalence premium principle. Based on data sourced from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and a claim rate of 10%, it is found that a premium rate of 5% of insured wages would support a benefit level of 50% of the wages for 43 weeks. This premium rate would also support 70% of the wages for 32 weeks. Meanwhile, the premium rate of 1% of the participant wages would guarantee a benefit level of 50% for 6 weeks.

Abstract

Timely graduation of students can be used as an indicator to show the quality of a university. Students are said to graduate on time if they have a short study period of 4 years. The duration of the study of students varies because it is influenced by several factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that have a significant effect on the duration of student studies. The factors studied included gender, GPA, school origin, joining the organization and working in college. The method used in this study is survival analysis. Survival analysis in this study used Log-normal and Weibull, parametric regression models. From the two models, it was found that the GPA and organizational factors significantly influence the duration of student studies. Next, to determine the best model is determined based on the minimum AIC value. Based on the comparison of the two models, the parametric Weibull model has a minimum AIC value, so this model is the best model. Based on HR values ??obtained by students who have a higher GPA and are more active in graduating faster or can be said to have fewer studies. Keywords: survival, regression, parametric, time of study.
