Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis phlanx.com, Instagram @pondokdarulhijrah memiliki engagement rate sebesar 4.59% dengan jumlah  9.715 followers yang berada pada rentang 5k-20k followers dengan nilai Average 2.43% dinyatakan sangat efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji seberapa efektif penggunaan Instagram sebagai media informasi pondok modern Darul Hijrah Putra mengacu pada Teori 4C Chris Heuer dengan empat indikator yaitu context, communication, collaboration, dan connection. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan populasi followers Instagram @pondokdarulhijrah sebanyak 9.715 followers. Penentuan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin dengan taraf signifikan 5% menghasilkan sampel sebesar 384 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram sebagai media informasi pondok modern Darul Hijrah Putra dinyatakan sangat efektif yang ditunjukkan dengan skor 19.292 yang berada pada rentang interval 18.720 – 23.040 ( Q3-A). Indikator tertinggi dalam efektivitas media sosial ialah indikator context dengan skor grand mean 3.28.  Indikator context berada pada kategori sangat efektif dengan total skor 1.327 atau sebesar 82.52%. Indikator terendah dalam efektivitas media sosial ialah indikator connection dengan skor grand mean 3.13. Indikator connection merupakan efektivitas paling rendah dengan total skor 1.219 atau sebesar 75.81% dikategori sangat efektif. Indikator connection perlu dilakukan evaluasi dikarenakan deskriptor ini memperoleh hasil yang sangat rendah diantara tiga indikator. Agar followers dapat mencari kembali konten informasi-informasi terkait informasi perkembangan pondok harus dilakukan kedekatan yang baik antara public relations pondok modern Darul Hijrah Putra dengan followers di media sosial Instagram. Pada penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi secara teoritis terhadap pengembangan keilmuan dalam kajian media sosial juga memberikan manfaat secara praktis dalam penggunanan instagram sebagai media informasi pesantren khususunya pondok modern Darul Hijrah Putra Martapura.

Abstract

Speech delivery is a form of communication skill that aims to convey certain messages to the public. In giving speeches or giving speeches, especially in political speeches, a political party figure carries out the duties and carries out the functions of his party. The purpose of the research is to dissect the communication message conveyed by Giring Ganesha as the general chairman of PSI in the Political Speech at PSI's 7th Anniversary, as well as to find out the purpose of Giring Ganesha as a representation of PSI and the impression that is built as part of political imagery.  This research is a qualitative exploratory research, which is used to explore data so that it can provide in-depth understanding and understanding of the object of research. This study is directed to clearly describe the image formed by Giring Ganesha who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party in his political speech for the 7th Anniversary of the Indonesian Solidarity Party on December 22, 2021. The research method used in this study is discourse analysis by Roger Fowler et al. According to Focault, discourse is a field of all statements, sometimes as an individualization of a group of statements, and sometimes as a regulatory practice seen from a number of statements. (1) Giring Ganesha's speech as a party representative further strengthens PSI's support for President Joko Widodo's Government and it is recognized that President Jokowi's magnetism is still very strong in gaining constituent support, especially young people. (2) As a form of modern, adaptive, intoxicated Party image.

Abstract

Di era yang serba digital ini, pembelajar bahasa asing membutuhkan akses yang cepat dan bisa menjangkau berbagai materi untuk menguasai suatu bahasa secara fleksibel. Salah satu aplikasi yang memfasilitasi pembelajar bahasa asing melalui gawai adalah HelloTalk. HelloTalk adalah aplikasi belajar bahasa yang memberikan akses pada penggunanya untuk berkomunikasi langsung dengan penutur asli dan ahli bahasa dari berbagai negara. Dengan fitur aplikasi yang dikemas seperti SNS (Social Networking Service) : chatting, voice call, video call, dll, pengguna dapat berlatih bahasa yang ingin dipelajari dengan partner belajar di HelloTalk. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memahami bagaimana perspektif CMC dalam komunikasi antarpengguna aplikasi HelloTalk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan data yang diambil dari wawancara semi-terstuktur dengan 8 informan yang merupakan 4 pasangan partner belajar di HelloTalk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perspektif CMC yang terjadi dalam komunikasi antarpengguna di HelloTalk adalah : (1) impersonal, diidentifikasi dari komunikasi asinkron, feedback yang tertunda dan terpecahnya fokus. (2) interpersonal, diidentifikasi dari lamanya durasi waktu interaksi, adanya kesempatan untuk berinteraksi di masa depan, motivasi untuk berteman, dan penggunaan emotikon. (3) hyperpersonal, diidentifikasi dari manajemen presentasi diri di HelloTalk.Kata kunci: perspektif komunikasi bermediasi komputer, aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa, impersonal, interpersonal, hyperpersonalIn this digital era, foreign language learners need fast access to various materials to master a language flexibly. One application that facilitates foreign language learners through devices is HelloTalk. HelloTalk is a language learning app that gives access to communicate directly with native speakers and linguists from different countries. With packaged application features such as SNS (Social Networking Service): chat, voice call, and video call, among others, users can practice the language they want to learn with learning partners on HelloTalk. This research aims to understand the CMC's perspective on communication between users of the HelloTalk application. The method used in this study was qualitative descriptive, using data taken from semi-structured interviews with eight informants who were four pairs of learning partners on HelloTalk. The results showed that the CMC perspective that develops in communication between users in HelloTalk is: (1) impersonal, identified from asynchronous communication, delayed feedback, and split focus. (2) interpersonal, identified by the length of interaction time, the opportunity to interact in the future, the motivation to make friends, and the use of emoticons. (3) hyperpersonal, identified from self-presentation management on HelloTalk.Keywords: perspectives on computer-mediated communication, language learning application, impersonal, interpersonal, hyperpersonal

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the Instagram story feature in building self-image as good citizens among adolescents in Karangduren Village. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted on adolescents aged 13-20 years in Karangduren village. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data using source and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) adolescents take advantage of Instagram stories in terms of fulfilling the need for information knowledge to show self-image as good citizens, namely seeking any information related to the current condition of the State of Indonesia. (2) teenagers take advantage of Instagram stories in terms of meeting social needs to address self-image as good citizens by interacting with fellow Instagram story users such as sharing or viewing various social activities. (3) teenagers take advantage of Instagram stories in terms of tension or can be said to be looking for entertainment that shows self-image as good citizens, namely by doing recreation that begins with a sense of interest when viewing content uploaded in Instagram stories in the form of video clips about Indonesian culture

Abstract

Pornography has always been a problem discourse because it can violate standard social rules, especially containing elements of commodification and exploitation of women's bodies. Commodities and exploitation of women's bodies also occur in the liberalization of pornography in today's digital era, which is depicted in the 2015 documentary film 'Hot Girls Wanted' by Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus which tells about teenage girls who have chosen to work in pornography. imprecisely to statistics about online pornographic viewing shown during the film. So that the formulation of the problem in this research is how the conversation and text of the documentary film 'Hot Girls Wanted' represents the commodity of the female body in the liberalization of digital pornography which is analyzed using the critical discourse analysis of Sarah Mills's approach. The purpose of this study is to disassemble the discourse in the documentary to see the commodification of the female body in the liberation of digital pornography. The analytical method used is qualitative research, critical discourse analysis, Sarah Mills's approach using a feminist perspective. The results of this study indicate the practice of commodification of women's bodies in the documentary film 'Hot Girls Wanted', where the pornography industry perpetuates the practice of patriarchal domination and women only as objects to satisfy lust or the male gaze so that women are placed as marginalized objects and the presence of hegemony in the porn industry, women perpetuate gender bias.Keywords: Porn Industry; Commodification; Women’s Bodies; Movie

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji dan mengkomparasi praktek standarisasi budaya dalam media massa dan media sosial. Studi ini focus pada praktik standarisasi media massa pada figur seniman Soimah Pancawati dan Sandrina Mazaya. Studi ini kemudian merefleksikan praktik standarisasi dalam monetisasi akun media sosial Soimah dan Sandrina. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan Teori Standarisasi Adorno dengan metode desk research. Peneliti berargumen, pemilik modal mambangun industri budaya melalui media massa dan media sosial yang menstandarisasi dan mengeksploitasi Soimah dan Sandrina selaku komoditas. Tidak banyak studi yang mengunakan pemikiran Adorno untuk mengkaji standarisasi dalam media sosial. Studi ini menemukan, Soimah dan Sandrina selaku pekerja dalam industri budaya dan pengguna media sosial mengalami alienasi dari nilai otentisitas yaitu karakter awalnya sebagai seniman. Media menjadi mesin industri yang melakukan standarisasi dan eksploitasi demi menekan biaya produksi. Standardisasi dan eksploitasi menjadi strategi media untuk mempertukarkan budaya menjadi nilai jual (interchangeable). Media membangun mimpi popularitas atau viral yang sebenarnya merefleksikan standarisasi dan eksploitasi. Nilai komoditas berkurang setelah proses komodifikasi. Sebagai industri budaya, media akan mengganti komoditas yang memiliki nilai jual baru. Media sewaktu-waktu dapat meninggalkan atau mempopulerkan idola lain.
