<![CDATA[The objective of the study is aimed to know the effect of Problem Based Learning Strategy on Enhancing Students’ Grammar Ability in Passive Voice. The research design was experiment research. The population in this research was selected by simple random sampling technique. The instrument of research used grammar test. Test was given in pre-test and post-test form. The data were analyzed by using quantitave method. Then, the researcher analyzed the research by using t-test formula. The findings indicated that score of students in post-test is highest compared post-test after Problem Based Learning Strategy on grammar ability in passive voice. The average score of students in pre-test experimental class are 62.91. and the average score of students in post-test experimental class are 74.16. the research showed that the value of t-count is 19.984 and the df (degree of freedom) is 22. The values in the table of significance of 5%, df = 22 is 2.0738. the hypothesis showed t-count is higher than t-table, namely 19.984 2.0738. it means that Problem Based Learning Strategy gives an effect on enhancing students’ grammar ability in passive voice. Based on the finding above, Problem Based Learning Strategy can be suggested as one of strategy to be implemented in teaching learning process of grammar activities. It is aimed to make the students interested, so become more creative and motivate in learning English.]]>

<![CDATA[It is a qualitative study that focuses on how students apply their creating skill as seen in their compositions posted on Instagram. There were six tenth graders in one of the vocational high schools in Sidoarjo selected as the participants. They comprised three male students and three female students. The researcher collected the data in the form of written expressions (sentences) by observing students’ creating skill processes as seen in their compositions posted on Instagram. The data thenwere analyzedusing the elements of each Brookhart’s HOT skills of transfer, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The findings showed that the activities of composing narrative texts and posting them on the Instagram account belong to the real and meaningful transfer learning of near and far transfers. Next, students could fulfill seven out of eleven criteria of critical thinkingskill. Last, from five components of the IDEAL problem-solving skill, only the last component of looking back andevaluatingthe effects of the activity that the students did not do. All in all, theactual evidence of creating skill implementation when students created their compositions by using Instagram is possible to justify.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to find out the most dominant listening strategies used by the students and to determine the correlation between the use of listening strategies and their listening comprehension. The type of the research was quantitative with correlational design. This study used a population of the 4th semester students of English Education Study Program, University of Riau Kepulauan, in which the sample was selected by total sampling technique. Data were collected by using listening strategy questionnaire and listening test. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics (Mean and Standard Deviation) were used to find out the most dominant strategies to the ones that were rarely used by students in completing listening comprehension task. Second, to find out whether or not  there was a significant correlation between listening strategies used and listening skills, the data were analyzed by  using Pearson Correlation to determine the correlation between two variables, listening strategies and listening comprehension.]]>

<![CDATA[The purposes of this research are to find out the values of being described in R.J Palacio’s novel based on Linda’s Theory of Values. This research design was qualitative research. The data collected based on the characters in the novel, such as: action, dialogues, thoughts, appearances, and reaction to other character which revealed in the novel. The result showed that the educational values in the novel especially on the value of being, those are: honesty, courage, peace and self-reliance and potential.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract This research is focused on Project Based Learning and collaboration skill of students. It is aimed to describe how Project Based Learning promotes students’ collaboration skill with others as one of four Cs skills in 21st of Century Skills. The subject of this study was five students in the ninth grade in one of state Islamic schools in Kediri. The researcher collected the data from observation and the recording video of the process of creating the project, which was wall magazine. The observation was done twice and the activities during the process of making wall magazine will be written in field note and recorded by using video recorder. This research highlights more on the process of creating the project rather than the product. Therefore, all the data will be in the form of verbal and non-verbal data. After selecting the appropriate data, the result shows that the students can reach all of indicators of collaboration skills with eleven examples as the evidences. <![CDATA[Quran is the guidance from Allah for all the muslims which is contained of prohition and command derived by Arabic Language. All Muslims have not been surely understand with Arabic Language. Thus, there are so many translation of Quran. The most important is the meaning included in Quran should be understood by Muslims. This study analyzes the meaning of Surah Ar-Rahman based on the relations of each elements of word realized in Taxonomic Relations from Martin and Rose (2007). It is analyzed by qualitative data analysis. The data is taken from the Quran Tafsir App by Ibnu Katsir from the verse 1-78. The data of the study are clauses contained taxonomic relations by applied interactive models of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The findings of the analysis found four types of taxonomic relations in Surah Ar-Rahman, included repetition, contrast, class, and member. Repetition is the most frequently type found. It is indicated that this Suroh aims to warn men and jinn for grateful in every favors of Allah.]]>

<![CDATA[Generally someone who is said to master English or at least who can communicate is the one who masters in 4 basic skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. While the problems that researchers often encounter in the field are still far beyond the basic things, namely the lack of vocabulary mastery by sports students at Dehasen University, Bengkulu. Therefore, through this study, the researchers intended to motivate sports students to learn English by developing instructional models that suitable to their characteristics. Researchers believe that utilizing this student’s love for sports can arouse their enthusiasm in learning so that researchers utilize the website www.goal.com and collaborate with sports lecturers and English lecturer to develop instructional models in the form of existing English teaching materials which are then modified in accordance to characteristics of sports students. The method used in this study is R D (Research Development). The results of this study are the existence of instructional model using the website www.goal.com can increases the vocabulary mastery of sports students and they are become more motivated in learning in the classroom. It can be seen from the average value of the pre-test and post-test. Keywords: development of instructional models, sports students.]]>
