Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi: Kajian, Teori, dan Praktek dalam Bidang Pendidikan dan Ilmu Geografi published two times a year in January and June. Abstract

Today students live in a digital era. Such conditions affect the changing needs of textbooks as a source of learning for students. The purpose of this development research is to produce a digital textbook on cultural diversity in Indonesia with a 3D page flip application platform with a STEAM approach (Science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics). The design of this study uses the ADDIE model. Product trial results show that the percentage of the feasibility of textbooks is as much as 87 percent, which means it is very feasible to use. While the results of students' understanding test scores in the range of 76-85 with a percentage of 53 percent. These results indicate that students have a high level of understanding criteria.Dewasa ini peserta didik hidup di era digital. Kondisi yang demikian berpengaruh terhadap perubahan kebutuhan buku ajar sebagai sumber belajar bagi peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan buku ajar digital berplatform aplikasi 3D page flip dengan pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematic) materi keragaman budaya di Indonesia. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan bahwa persentase tingkat kelayakan buku ajar sebanyak 87 persen yang artinya sangat layak digunakan. Sedangkan hasil tes pemahaman peserta didik memperoleh nilai pada rentang 76-85 dengan persentase sebanyak 53 persen. Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa peserta didik memiliki kriteria tingkat pemahaman yang tinggi.

Abstract

The quality of coastal ground water on small islands has characteristics that are influenced by environmental and area factors. Yeben Island is a small island with an area of 0.57 km2 with priority coastal and marine tourism areas in the islands of Raja Ampat. This study aims to (1) analyze levels of ground water quality parameters and (2) analyze water samples against water quality standards. Groundwater samples taken as many as 4 samples from the study location. The location of water samples is in the morphology of the coastal plain. The analysis of each physical and chemical parameter of each groundwater sample is carried out by comparing the value of drinking water quality standards. The results are presented in a comparison table of quality standards and a graph of scaled values.Based on the results, the laboratory shows that it exceeds the quality standard of physical elements and chemical elements including fluoride, hardness, sulfate and organic substances. In general, the quality of water is poor. Poor ground water quality occurs due to the influence of sea water intrusion.Kualitas air tanah pesisir di pulau kecil memiliki karakteristik yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan dan luasan. Pulau Yeben merupakan pulau kecil dengan luas 1,3 km2 dengan prioritas kawasan pariwisata pesisir dan bahari di kepulauan Raja Ampat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis kadar parameter kualitas air tanah dan (2) menganalisis sampel air terhadap baku mutu air. Sampel air tanah yang diambil sejumlah 4 sampel dari lokasi kajian. Lokasi sampel air berada pada morfologi dataran pantai. Analisis setiap parameter fisik dan kimia masing-masing sampel air tanah dilakukan dengan perbandingan nilai standar baku mutu air minum Hasil penelitian disajikan dalam tabel perbandingan baku mutu dan grafik nilai berskala. Berdasarkan hasil laboratorium menunjukkan melebihi baku mutu unsur fisik dan unsur kimia antara lain fluorida, kesadahan, sulfat dan zat organik. Secara umum kualitas air termasuk buruk. Kualitas air tanah yang buruk terjadi dikarenakan oleh pengaruh intrusi air laut.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study using secondary data as the main data. Data were collected through literature studies from the results of previous research in Sumbermanjing Wetan District. The results showed that Sumbermanjing Wetan had the potential to be used as a natural laboratory in the context of geography learning. This is supported by physical conditions in the form of diverse landscape features, quite complex social and cultural conditions. This potential includes the geological and geomorphological conditions of Sumbermanjing Wetan, the geodiversity and biodiversity of Sempu Island, social and cultural conditions, disasters, and tourism. In addition, the existence of natural resources in the area can also be used as one of the studies in fieldwork. Fieldwork-based learning can increase the skills of students in making observations, identifying, experimental, doing teamwork, and applying the use of technology. Geography learning topics at Sumbermanjing Wetan include physical, social, tourism, disaster, environmental, and other areas of geography. Indeed, implementing fieldwork needs to be independent, especially in managing data. In addition, fieldwork-based learning will continue to develop in line with the convenience of technology and increasingly advanced research studies with challenges faced including security, finance, health and safety, access to the field, and damage to the surrounding area used for fieldwork due to sampling exaggerated.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan data sekunder sebagai data utama. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur dari hasil penelitian terdahulu di Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sumbermanjing Wetan memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan sebagai laboratorium alam dalam konteks pembelajaran geografi. Hal ini didukung oleh kondisi fisik berupa kenampakan bentang alam yang beragam, kondisi sosial dan budaya yang cukup kompleks. Potensi tersebut berupa kondisi geologi dan geomorfologi Sumbermanjing Wetan, geodiversitas dan biodiversitas Pulau Sempu, kondisi sosial dan budaya, serta pariwisata. Selain itu, keberadaan sumber daya alam yang ada di daerah tersebut juga dapat digunakan sebagai kajian dalam melakukan kerja lapangan (fieldwork). Pembelajaran berbasis kerja lapangan dapat menambah keterampilan peserta didik dalam melakukan pengamatan, identifikasi, eksperimental, melakukan kerja tim, dan menerapkan penggunaan teknologi. Topik pembelajaran geografi di Sumbermanjing Wetan dapat mencakup bidang geografi fisik, sosial, pariwisata, kebencanaan, lingkungan, maupun cakupan bidang yang lain. Dalam menerapkan kerja lapangan (fieldwork) diperlukan kemandirian peserta didik dalam mengelola data. Disamping itu, pembelajaran berbasis kerja lapangan akan terus berkembang dengan kemudahan teknologi dan kajian riset yang semakin maju dengan tantangan yang dihadapi antara lain keamanan, keuangan, kesehatan dan keselamatan, akses ke lapangan, serta rusaknya areal sekitar yang digunakan untuk kerja lapangan akibat pengambilan sampel yang berlebihan

Abstract

Spatial thinking skills is needed in geography learning. Geography learning learns about the geosphere, which need to be studied from the perspective of spatial, environment, and regional complex. This is consistent with the concept of spatial thinking, which involves complex thinking processes from multiple perspectives to study various phenomena. This research aims to determine the effect and effectiveness of using webgis inarisk media towards spatial thinking skills. This research was conducted through a quantitative method with data analysis using T-Test (Independent Sample T-Test) and the effectiveness test using (N-Gain Score Test). The results showed the Sig. (2-tailed) value in the analysis of the Independent Sample T-Test was 0.001 or more than 0.05. The average score of spatial thinking ability also showed that the experiment group (XI IPS 2) has a score of 70.3 which is higher than the control group (XI IPS 1) that is 64.2. Based on this, it is concluded that the webgis inarisk as a learning media has an effect on students' spatial thinking abilities. The results of the N-Gain Score test showed that webgis inarsik media used in experiment group (XI IPS 2) has better effectiveness in the achievement of spatial thinking skills, which is 43.7 percent, compared to map media used in control group (XI IPS 1) with an effectiveness of 32.09 percent.Kemampuan berpikir spasial diperlukan dalam pembelajaran geografi. Pembelajaran geografi mempelajari tentang fenomena geosfer, dimana perlu dikaji melalui melalui sudut pandang keruangan, kelingkungan dan kompleks wilayah. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan konsep berpikir spasial, yang melibatkan proses berpikir yang kompleks dari berbagai perspektif untuk mempelajari berbagai fenomena. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektivitas penggunaan media webgis inarisk terhadap kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan analisis analisis data melalui Uji-T (Independent Sample T-Test) dan uji efektivitas (Uji N-Gain Score). Hasil nilai Sig (2-tailed) pada analisis Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan skor 0,001 atau lebih dari 0,05. Rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir spasial juga menunjukkan pada kelas eksperimen yaitu (XI IPS 2) memiliki nilai 70,3 yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (XI IPS 1) yaitu 64,2. Disimpulkan bahwa webgis inarisk sebagai media pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa. Hasil Uji nilai N-Gain Score juga menunjukkan bahwa media webgis yang digunakan di kelas eksperimen (XI IPS 2) memiliki efektivitas yang lebih baik dalam pencapaian kemampuan berpikir spasial yaitu sebesar 43,7 persen, dibandingkan media peta yang digunakan di kelas kontrol (XI IPS 1) dengan efektivitas 32,09 persen.

Abstract

Textbooks are one of the important elements in the learning process that support the achievement of learning objectives, including in ecology courses. Based on the results of the analysis of existing teaching materials, there is no material about local wisdom and teaching materials still contain old material. Meanwhile, in Indonesia there are many local wisdoms that function to protect the environment in the midst of increasingly massive environmental damage and destruction. The material instructor's explanation also knew that currently there was no local wisdom and it was needed, so this was aimed at developing ecology textbook supplements based on local wisdom. The research design is an R&D model development research, the research subjects are students who are programming ecology courses at the Surabaya State of University Geography Education undergraduate, the research was conducted in November-December 2019 using the experimental class and the control class. Data collection in this study used several techniques, namely in the form of questionnaires (validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires), and written tests (pre-test and post-test) for students. This study aims to produce an ecological textbook supplement based on local wisdom that is feasible and can improve learning outcomes. The textbook supplements produced can be applied in the field, and can again help to improve the quality of content and design.
