Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Kyai and Ustadz in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. The study was conducted at four Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan, namely Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan, Pondok Pesantren Hasanka, Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum, and Pondok Pesantren Darul Amin Sampit. This study is a qualitative study with an interpretive paradigm. The study was conducted from April to September 2021. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentary studies. Informants in this study were educators in Pondok Pesantren, namely Kyai, Ustadz, and teachers who teach. The data obtained were then analysed using interactive qualitative analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study found that there are five roles of Kyai and Ustadz in religious moderation education, namely the role of conservator, innovator, the role of transmitter, the role of a transformer, and role of organiser. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that there is a connectivity between academic and managerial dimensions in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. At this level, Kyai and Ustadz not only play a role in providing understanding and knowledge regarding religious moderation but also carry out managerial activities so that religious moderation education can be carried out and be successful.Keywords: Religious Moderation; Pondok Pesantren; Kyai; Ustadz

Abstract

This research aims to describe Islamic education teachers' role in building religious moderation values in elementary school Kabupaten Katingan and to know give values of religion moderation and supporting factors and inhibiting factors for building religious moderation at SDN Jahanjang dan SDN Asem Kumbang Kabupaten Katingan. This research was compiled by researchers using a qualitative approach with the type of field research and descriptive qualitative research methods. Collecting data using interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was carried out using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this study indicate that: 1. The role of Islamic education teachers in building religious moderation includes: a. The conservator as a PAI teacher is responsible for his attitude, b. Innovators, PAI teachers collaborate with all teachers from various religions, c. Transmitter, PAI teachers act as motivators and guides, d. Teacher organizer carries out innovative activities, e. Transformers, Islamic Education teachers translate values into figures for students; 2. The values of religious moderation that are built include fairness, balanced, simplicity, unity and brotherhood. 3. Supporting factors and inhibiting factors include: Supporting factors, namely the PAI teacher, who is an alumnus of an Islamic boarding school who has good experience and capacity. A community environment that supports school activities, especially religious activities. As for the inhibiting factor, namely the age of the student is very influential for the implementation of the religious development program, because new students are still adapting to go to school. Limited school facilities, as a forum for religious development, such as not having a prayer room, have made teachers have to be more creative in providing religious guidance in schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah tentang pentingnya melestarikan kesenian daerah yang bernafaskan Islam sebagai media dakwah. Kesenian Habsyi merupakan salah satu kesenian Islam yang di dalamnya melantunkan syair-syair dan pembacaan sholawat nabi yang diiringi tabuhan-tabuhan gendang atau rebana. Program inilah yang dilakukan mahasiswa KKN Tematik IAIN Palangka Raya terhadap suatu komunitas masyarakat remaja di Sukamulya, Kecamatan Bukit Tangkiling Palangka Raya. Tujuan dari pembinaan ini yaitu untuk melestarikan dan mengaktifkan kembali kesenian Habsyi serta pengembangan skill. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu service learning (SL). Selama program ini berlangsung, hal-hal yang telah dicapai di antaranya adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan, penambahan dan pembaruan sarana prasana maupun peralatan Habsyi. Berdasarkan hasil program pembinaan remaja dalam pelestarian kesenian Habsyi melalui gebyar nasyid, dapat disimpulkan yaitu melestarikan dan menghidupkan kembali program atau kegiatan kesenian Habsyi, memberikan tambahan wawasan atau pengetahuan, keterampilan  dan pengembangan skill dalam kesenian Habsyi, memberikan tambahan pengetahuan atau wawasan tentang kebudayaan Islam yaitu kesenian Habsyi yang di dalamnya melantunkan syair-syair pujian atau Shalawat, membantu dan melayani dalam menumbuhkan semangat guna melestarikan dan menguatkan kebudayaan kesenian Habsyi, serta diharapkan dapat menciptakan regenerasi
