Abstract

Today's internet network is expanding quickly, which encourages consumers to connect to more server services. A reliable server system is required to handle these circumstances. One approach that can be taken is to implement multiple servers. However, using many servers affects the response time of the server to be able to serve requests. Improving server system services through the load balancing method needs to be balanced with analysis, testing and evaluation of the network architecture and algorithms used in order to produce an optimal server system. In order to determine the algorithm to be tested optimal response time value, this study compares and analyses the load balancing approach utilizing the least-connection algorithm and the round-robin algorithm. Based on the test results using a request value of 500 connections/second for 1000 requests and 600 connections/second for 1200 requests, the round-robin algorithm looks slightly better than the least-connection algorithm. However, in the test scenario for the value of 700 connections/second for 1400 requests, 800 connections/second for 1600 requests, and 900 connections/second for 1800 requests, the least-connection algorithm looks superior. So that the average response time of the least-connection algorithm is smaller when there is an increase in connections. This condition has an impact on the faster the server responds to requests from users so that server performance can be continuously improved.

Abstract

Irrigating paddy fields is a very important process for plant growth. When the process of irrigating rice fields is carried out by means of continuously flowing water and the soil moisture value is only based on estimates, there are many possibilities for the moisture value not to be measured where this causes the plants to take a long time to grow and the plants will rot or fail to harvest if the humidity value is too high. So a final project was designed with the title Humidity Control System in Mustard Plants Using the PID Method. The way this system works is by placing 5 humidity sensors at five different points to read soil moisture values and each sensor is connected to the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller. The controller used in this irrigation system is Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) to get humidity values according to the needs of the plant. The design and construction of an automatic irrigation system in this study was successfully carried out using the PID method, the corresponding Kp parameter values for the system were obtained, namely Kp = 4.328, Ki = 2.634, and Kd = 3.217. This automatic irrigation system can reach the moisture point of the mustard plant, which is 60% with a steady state error of 0.387% and a rise time 79 seconds. The test was carried out for 7 days and by comparing the average plant height in the manual watering area and the automatic watering area. The average growth of plant height in the manual watering area and the automatic watering area has a difference of 1.2 cm. Because this system only focuses on water irrigation where plants also need other nutrients for growth besides water.

Abstract

A security camera must be easy to control, because users need to be able to monitor and control it even when they are in another place. To accommodate this need, security cameras are generally controlled by a computer, then the data is sent to a web server that can be accessed by users. However, the system is quite complicated because it still requires a computer, as well as the additional cost of renting a website server. In this study, computer functions were replaced with the ESP32 microcontroller, and the website server as well as the application interface was replaced with the Telegram BOT. The ESP32 microcontroller was chosen because its function is almost the same as a computer, while the Telegram BOT can be used free of charge. This study focuses on testing the success rate of the system in responding to commands given via the Telegram BOT, with the type of command connecting the Telegram BOT with ESPCam, turning on or off the LED flash, taking pictures, and the combination. Based on the tests that have been carried out for all existing command combinations, with each test being repeated 25 times, it was found that the success rate of the system reached 84.67%.

Abstract

Information obtained at the Banjarbaru Climatology Station includes seasonal forecasts, rainfall analysis, rainfall properties analysis, rainy day analysis, and monitoring of rainless days in the South Kalimantan region. Monitoring of Rainless Day is a form of data on rainless days that occur in South Kalimantan in sequence. The data is sent by observers to the Banjarbaru Climatology Station office using SMS, WhatsApp, and even by calling the staff of the Banjarbaru Climatology Station so that employees must check every media both SMS, WhatsApp, and telephone to find out the data sent by observers. Related to these problems, a web-based rainless day monitoring application was made. By using the Research and Development (R&D) method to facilitate the management of rainless day data, a geographic information system management system using Google Maps API and MySQL database is built which is integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for data collection in real-time. The system built will provide notifications in the management of areas affected by rainless days in order to deal with drought.

Abstract

Numerous victims and huge economic and social losses have resulted from the escalating number of traffic accidents. From these issues, a technique to create a camera capable of detecting vehicles going around the driver using the Faster R-CNN method and calculating the vehicle's distance using the Stereo Vision and Mono Vision methods was discovered. The determination of safe distance between these cars is determined by the speed of the driver's vehicle, with the LED and buzzer warning system activating when the parameters are met. Based on the results of object detection experiments utilizing the Faster R-CNN, the model's success rate in identifying and classifying objects had an average success rate of 83.33 percent across 35 object situations examined from different perspectives. The success rates for distance estimates utilizing the Stereo Vision and Mono Vision methods with the Linear Regression equation were 98.84% and 98.10%, respectively.

Abstract

Grocery stores, commonly found in cities, represent the latest model of retail establishments offering a diverse range of daily essentials and groceries while operating 24/7 for added convenience. However, these stores often encounter security challenges, such as employee lapses like falling asleep or leaving their posts unattended, which can jeopardize safety. To address this issue, we have developed a simple yet effective tool to enhance store security, utilizing an analysis of detection and sensor error rates. This security system relies on analog circuits to process signals from motion sensors, triggering a buzzer notification upon detecting movement. Through this research, the aim of the research is to quantify the level of detection accuracy and sensor error magnitude, as well as determine the optimal sound level for the generated notification. The results of this research contribute to bolstering safety and vigilance in these grocery stores.

Abstract

The surge in popularity of online food delivery services across Southeast Asia is undeniable. Remarkably, in the year 2020, Indonesia emerged as the frontrunner in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for such services in the region, amassing an impressive GMV of $3.7 billion, surpassing its regional counterparts. This burgeoning trend is underpinned by a multitude of factors motivating individuals to embrace online food purchases, including time efficiency, an array of enticing and pragmatic offers, and an abundance of choices. Building upon this backdrop, this research endeavors to delve into the intricate web of variables that wield influence over consumer satisfaction within the realm of online food procurement. Employing the multifaceted approach of multiple linear regression, the study aims to uncover the mechanisms that underlie this pivotal relationship. The findings gleaned from this investigation are noteworthy. They highlight the substantial joint impact of the independent variables on the dependent variable. This assertion is substantiated by the remarkably minute significance value of F, which registers at an impressive 0.000, comfortably falling below the conventional threshold of 0.05. This statistical affirmation underscores the collective potency of the five dimensions of service quality, cohesively exerting a significant influence on the variable of customer satisfaction. Moreover, a granular examination of the individual impacts of each independent variable warrants’ attention, as gleaned from their respective 't' significance values. It is discernible that the variables of reliability and responsiveness, with significant values exceeding 0.005, exhibit limited individual impact on customer satisfaction. This discernment underscores that, when assessed in isolation, these two independent variables fail to manifest a statistically noteworthy effect on the overarching construct of customer contentment.
