Abstract

Working mothers can breastfeed directly while on maternity leave. After coming to work breastfeeding activities cannot be carried out immediately. However, working mothers continue to breastfeed in a different way while working. To continue to provide breast milk, mothers must express milk. Expressing breast milk can use hands directly with massage techniques and with the help of a breast pump. Working mothers are not free to breastfeed directly like mothers who live at home every day. Working mothers can breastfeed by giving expressed milk. Working mothers have to spend time between working hours to pump breast milk. The result is expressed breast milk that can be packaged and stored in such a way that it can be given to the baby. This activity was comprehensively discussed in the community service activities which were held on March 30, 2021 at the Faculty of Health Sciences Campus. Socialization activities started from registration, pre-test, counseling on breastfeeding, post-test and results recapitulation. Followed by pregnant and lactating women as many as 28 people. In this activity the midwives, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers were very enthusiastic as evidenced by the many questions that were included in the question-and-answer session because so far many mothers did not understand how to give. This community service is to produce an educational product in the form of a pocket book on how to express breast milk to breastfeeding mothers who work to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers. In this community service, it was found that there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant and lactating women by using the ASI pocket book media.

Abstract

Dalam kenyataan sehari-hari permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pendidik (guru agama) adalah bagaimana dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik, karena banyak peserta didik yang masih kurang dalam memahami ajaran agama Islam. Apakah hal ini disebabkan siswa yang masih kurang aktif dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar atau cara guru dalam mengajar yang monoton dan membosankan. Agar proses pembelajaran bisa berjalan dengan baik, maka pendidik sebagai penggerak belajar peserta didik dituntut untuk menggunakan dan menguasai berbagai jenis strategi atau metode pembelajaran aktif. Strategi/metode pembelajaran aktif sangat diperlukan karena peserta didik mempunyai cara belajar yang berbeda-beda. Ada yang senang dengan membaca, berdiskusi dan ada juga yang senang dengan cara langsung praktik.

Abstract

This research is aimed to investigate whether Read-ask-put (RAP) Strategy improves significantly students’ reading comprehension. A quasi-experimental method was conducted in this research with a time-series design consisting of one pretest-posttest group. The population of this research was the student of class VIII SMP 5 Pinrang in the 2018/2019 academic year which consisted of 10 classes. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique, VIII.1 class as the experimental group and VIII.2 as the control group. The number of experimental groups was 30 students and 30 students in the control group. The research instrument used was reading the test. Based on the data analysis, the mean score of the experimental group was higher than the controlled group (79,6> 72,76). This showed that the reading comprehension of the students who are taught through rap strategy was better than the students who are taught through reading aloud. The result of t-test value (3,07) was greater than t-table for α = 0.05 with df = 58 is 1.671. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The study concluded that teaching English through RAP Strategy improved the students’ reading comprehension in SMP 5 Pinrang.

Abstract

This service was carried out as a form of concern for the Department of Arabic Literature, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang (JSA FS UM) towards graduates. In this training, the gate will be equipped with knowledge and application of several innovative learning models in Arabic language learning. The learning models in question are Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), and Discovery Learning (DL) models. These learning models will be applied in Arabic language learning. The details of the application of the three models are contained in 7 materials presented by the speakers. After delivering the material, the activity organizers assisted the participants in practicing. This assistance is carried out online and offline. Service is provided in learning for five weeks. Every week, participants are given a tutorial on designing the application of Arabic language learning models, and participants create articles related to the application of innovative learning models in Arabic. Fifty participants attended this activity. As evaluation material, the activity implementer distributed a questionnaire via Google Forms after the action was carried out. The results of the questionnaire are as follows: The facilities provided by the facilitator. 90.9% of participants said it was perfect, and 9.1% said it was good. The questionnaire results are related to the resource person's mastery of the material. 75% of participants stated that the resource person mastered the material, and 22.7% noted that the resource person got the material. The questionnaire results related to the resource person's clarity in delivering the material. 72.7% of participants stated that the resource person clearly explained the material, and 25% said the speaker's explanation was clear. The questionnaire results are related to the usefulness of the material in learning innovation. 86.4% of participants stated that the activity resource was very useful in learning innovation, and 13.6% noted that the activity helped them learn creation.
