Abstract

Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia's country with the fastest-growing digital economies. State-owned enterprises (SOEs) or Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) can play a significant role in supporting Indonesia in its digital transformation. One of the SOEs that has used technologies to aid in the digital transformation is XYZ company. Currently, there is an ongoing project of budgeting process digitalization using Anaplan's integrated cloud-based platform which consists of three phases. This research aims to identify root causes of issues occurring in Phase 1, generate solutions to address the root causes, and prevent the same issues to happen in Phase 2. Current issues are related to system inflexibility, XYZ human capital, system bugs, and XYZ reporting complexity, which are rooted from five root causes. It has been discussed that only four out of five root causes can be solved since they are still within XYZ’s reach. This research generates six proposed solutions utilizing PMBOK Project Resource Management Knowledge Area and Organizational Process Assets (OPA). There are three prioritized solutions that need to be implemented soon before starting Phase 2, which are lessons learned discussion and documentation, knowledge transfer, and budgeting guideline formulation.

Abstract

As the frequency, severity, and costs of safety risks continue to become a challenge for mining industry, the company understood that the existing safety analytic does not provide adequate information, as it has been relying predominantly on collecting and evaluating aggregated data of lagging indicators about past accidents. This method has been negatively driving the organization to carry out repetitive cycle of accident analysis and problem solving, and therefore, undertaking reactive responses. This paper investigated how statistical process control, in particular control charts, can be applied to hazards data, as the leading indicator of accidents, to detect statistically trends in safety process and safety behavior, aiming to control the safety process in real-time manner before the occurrence of accidents. The result showed that the latest iteration of control limits development in Phase 3 is suitable as the control chart for safety process in one of case study mine operation site. Furthermore, the implementation of control charts to hazards data not only it helps the organization to transition its safety analytic to leading indicator analysis, it enables the organization to control safety process in real-time practice and to carry out timely safety intervention long before the potential occurrence of severe accidents, in which within this case, the first early warning signal was triggered 49 days before the occurrence of the fatality accident.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat saat ini khususnya internet menjadikan usaha bisnis secara elektronik menjadi potensial. Penerbitan Peraturan Presiden untuk menyikapi persoalan tersebut mengenai kegiatan logistik yaitu terkait restrukturisasi, revitalisasi dan modernisasi PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) yang modern dan bersaing.  PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) sebagai perusahaan kurir diperlukan evaluasi terhadap kondisi pengiriman barang saat ini untuk dapat meningkatkan daya saing dengan perusahaan kurir lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan evaluasi pengiriman barang bisnis elektronik PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap kondisi moda transportasi saat ini dengan menggunakan metode simulasi Monte Carlo. Dalam hal ini, evaluasi pengiriman dilakukan dari Sentral Pengolahan Pos Jakarta hingga menuju pusat distribusi Tambun. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah jumlah kendaraan aktual dalam pengiriman barang bisnis elektronik PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) sebanyak 53 kendaraan dapat dilakukan efisiensi kendaraan dengan menggunakan simulasi Monte Carlo sebanyak 30 kendaraan. Selain itu, dapat menurunkan biaya operasional kendaraan sebesar 56,01% atau senilai Rp. 46.833.475.862-,. Namun, untuk mengantisipasi pertumbuhan bisnis elektronik  kedepannya, dilakukan skenario pertumbuhan bisnis elektronik sebesar 10% hingga 20%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa jumlah kendaraan simulasi hanya dapat mengantisipasi kondisi pertumbuhan saat ini. Sebaliknya,  jumlah kendaraan aktual dapat mengantisipasi hingga tahun 2021.

Abstract

Due to the negative operating cash flow, working capital's unsatisfactory performance indicates that internal business processes exist. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic urges the management to be wiser in making decisions, primarily to support better working capital management. They cannot rely forever on its aggressive capital structure. Accordingly, the management committed to carrying out operation improvement related to working capital management. This decision is the background of this research to identify and analyze the root cause problems and improvement plan issues. Further investigations regarding the business issue are conducted, and business process re-engineering through the 3 hard Ss framework is selected as the research design. These frameworks are approached due to their capability to map the thorough process and link them to one another. These combination improvement ideas over the ineffective and inefficient activities could be blended while organized to be aligned with the organizational directions. This research is conducted through a semi-structured interview to explore the company conditions and uses secondary data to gather the information and strengthen the evidence. At least 14 ineffective and inefficient activities were then carried out a root-cause analysis to determine the source of the problem that had to be eliminated. Based on these findings, four management improvements are suggested: Production management, Receivable Management, Payable management, and Cash flow control and monitoring translated into action plan strategies, procedures, and tools which are equipped structurally and systems.

Dalam hal ini, kami mempwryai kerangka berpikirbahwa salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan adolah melalui penyelarasan antaia tuntutan atau persyoratan pasar dengon sumber daya, proses-operasi, dan kemampuan operosi perusahaan.
