Abstract

Green cincau (Premna oblongifolia Merr) is a functional food plant that needs to be developed because it functions as a refreshing plant and has high chlorophyll content to increase endurance and its phytochemical content which is useful for overcoming various diseases. Green cincau (Premna oblongifolia Merr) in peat soils have not been widely cultivated due to the constraints of low soil fertility. This research is basic research aiming to determine the effect of using liquid organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizer on the growth of green cincau in peat soil. The research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Department of Agronomy and soil analysis was carried out at the UPR Integrated Laboratory. This research used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely factor I (Liquid Organic Fertilizer) consisting of 3 types, namely: P0 = without liquid organic fertilizer; P1 = Agrobost liquid organic fertilizer; P2 = Nasa liquid organic fertilizer; Factor II (NPK Inorganic Fertilizer) which consists of 3 levels, namely: N0 = NPK 0 g polibag-1; N1 = NPK 1 g polibag-1; N2 = NPK 2 g polibag-1. There were 9 treatment combinations, the replication was carried out 3 times so that there were 27 experimental units. Growth observation variables included a number of shoots, shoot length, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, number of roots, root length, and root fresh weight. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (F test) at the 5% level, if the effect was significant, then tested it with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction of liquid organic fertilizer and NPK inorganic fertilizer did not significantly affect all variables. The application of liquid organic fertilizer affects the number of leaves, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, number of roots and root fresh weight. Nasa organic fertilizer provides better growth than Agrobost with 13.42 leaves shoots-1, 2,623.40 cm2 leaf area polibag-1, 47.02 g polibag-1 fresh leaf weight, 12 roots number polibag-1 and 1.55 root weight g polibag-1. NPK inorganic fertilizer at a dose of 2 g polibag-1 resulted in better leaf fresh weight, namely 45.64 g polibag-1

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the real effect of coffee grounds on the growth and yield of caisim (Brassica chinensis L.) and to determine the appropriate dose of coffee grounds to increase the growth and maximum yield of caisim (Brassica chinensis L.). This research was conducted from April 2022 to May 2022 at the Peat Techno Park (PTP) University of Palangka Raya. This study used an environmental design, namely Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were Control (P0), 20 g (P1), 40 g (P2), 60 g (P3), 80 (P4). The parameters used in this study were plant height, number of leaves, year width, crown weight and root weight. From the observations obtained, it was analyzed to determine the real effect of the treatment using analysis of variance (F test) at the level of α = 5% and 1%. Data analysis will be continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at α = 5% to determine the significant difference between treatment levels. The treatment of coffee grounds significantly affected the height, number of leaves, leaf area, top crown weight and root weight of caisim plants. Giving 20 g of coffee grounds gave optimum results on the growth and yield of caisim plants.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy sangat bergantung pada tingkat pH tanah media tanam. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pH tanah gambut rendah adalah dengan menggunakan serbuk cangkang telur ayam yang mengandung kalsium (Ca) sebesar 35,1-36,4%, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kandungan kalsium pada kapur dolomit yang sebesar 21,70%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji respons pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy terhadap pemberian serbuk cangkang telur ayam. Kemudian juga berupaya untuk menentukan dosis serbuk cangkang telur ayam yang dapat memberikan hasil terbaik pada tanaman pakcoy di tanah gambut. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menguji respons pemberian serbuk cangkang telur ayam dalam meningkatkan pH tanah gambut pada budidaya tanaman pakcoy. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal untuk mengetahui  perbedaan respons serbuk cangkang telur (T) terhadap dosis yang diberikan. Dosis serbuk cangkang telur yang digunakan sebanyak 1 t ha-1, 2 t ha-1, 3 t ha-1, 4 t ha-1, dan 5 t ha-1. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif antara dosis serbuk cangkang telur dengan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman. Secara khusus, dosis 5 t ha-1 serbuk cangkang telur memberikan hasil yang paling baik dalam hal lebar daun tanaman (7,1 cm) dan hasil tanaman (186,5 g tanaman-1). Selain itu, peningkatan dosis lebih lanjut dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih optimal pada tanaman pakcoy. Penambahan serbuk cangkang telur ayam pada tanah gambut menghasilkan kenaikan pH sebesar 0,89-1,59 poin sehingga menaikkan pH tanah dari 3,21 menjadi 4,8 dengan dosis 5 t ha-1.
