Abstract

Since Indonesian students’ critical thinking skills in junior high school is still in unexpected level, it should be improved through teaching and learning process. The objective of the study is finding out the influence of problem centered learning approach toward students’ mathematical critical thinking ability. Every student should have mathematical critical thinking skills to make mathematics lessons are easier. Using the critical thinking skills will help students improving problem solving skills. However, the current critical thinking ability of junior high school students is still low. This research used quasi experimental design with Static Group Comparation type. The research sample consisted of two classes with each class of 35 students. The research instrument consists of six questions which indicate a mathematical critical thinking ability. Data analysis of this study used the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of the problem-centered learning approach on the students' mathematical critical thinking ability with testing criteria is high.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menelaah secara mendalam tentang kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang dipengaruhi keyakinan diri (self-efficacy) siswa SMK. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 34 Jakarta dan sampel sebanyak 41 siswa yang ditetapkan dengan random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebanyak 5 butir soal dan angket keyakinan diri siswa sebanyak 29 pernyataan yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi siswa SMK dipengaruhi oleh keyakinan dirinya sebesar 37,69% sedangkan 53,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor selain keyakinan diri siswa

Abstract

Saat ini hasil belajar anak belum bisa dikatakan berhasil secara optimal dimana bagi anak slow learner, pembelajaran daring bukanlah solusi yang baik. hal ini didukung oleh tidak semua orang tua dan guru berperan secara optimal. Masalah ini menjadi salah saru alasan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru dan orang tua dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika anak slow learner di masa pandemi covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kualitatif, dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan merupakan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian digunakan peneliti ada 3 yaitu satu guru mata pelajaran matematika, satu orangtua anak ABK, dan satu kepala sekolah. Mengunakan wawancara online dan metode observasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah penyederhanaan data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran guru yakni adanya perlakuan khusus di kelas, guru selalu memantau tugas-tugas anak slow learner, dan adanya video pembelajaran matematika yang di kirimkan oleh guru via whatsapp. Adapun peran orang tua yakni merupakan pendidik bagi anak, orangtua sebagai pelindung anak, anak prioritas orangtua, dan orangtua mengetahui kondisi anak ketika di rumah. Adapun peran kepala sekolah yakni kepala sekolah membimbing guru dalam proses pembelajaran, dan adanya evaluasi untuk guru. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa guru, orangtua, dan kepala sekolah sangatlah berpengaruh dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar anak slow learner.

Abstract

The Merdeka Study Program is part of the Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy initiated by the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim. Students are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, both hard and soft, through various off-campus activities. In the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UHAMKA, this program is designed to enrich learning experiences and enhance practical skills relevant to the industry. The program's effectiveness evaluation is conducted through a survey of 41 students to collect data on their experiences and perceptions. The aim is to measure the extent to which the MBKM program positively impacts student learning. The research methodology uses the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm to classify program effectiveness data based on several performance indicators. The analyzed data includes survey results from students who participated in the MBKM program. The research findings show that the KNN classification model has an accuracy of 93.65%, with an average precision of 94.08% and recall of 93.65%, indicating a high level of accuracy in classifying program effectiveness. Most students reported that the MBKM program is very effective in enhancing their skills and knowledge, although some felt neutral or found it less effective. This study concludes that the MBKM program is generally effective in achieving its goals, although improvements and adjustments are still needed to optimize its benefits for all students

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan keterampilan penting pada abad ke-21 ini. Siswa harus memiliki kemampuan numerasi karena diperlukan guna memecahkan masalah matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal AKM kelas XI pada data dan ketidakpastian. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 105 Jakarta. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas XI IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes kemampuan numerasi, wawancara serta observasi. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa subjek siswa berkemampuan numerasi rendah mampu menggunakan angka dan simbol, tetapi siswa belum mampu dalam menganalisis informasi, dan belum mampu dalam menafsirkan hasil analisis. Sedangkan, siswa berkemampuan numerasi sedang mampu menggunakan angka dan simbol, cukup mampu dalam menganalisis informasi, dan cukup mampu dalam menafsirkan hasil analisis. Kemudian, siswa berkemampuan numerasi tinggi mampu menggunakan angka dan simbol, mampu dalam menganalisis informasi, dan mampu menafsirkan hasil analisis.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence used Problem Based Learning model assisted by Question Card toward students mathematic critical thinking skill in junior high school. This research was quantitative by using Quasi Experimental with the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The technique was purposive sampling method. The instrument of this method was six items, then validity test, reliability test, level of difficulty, and discrimination power. Normality and homogeneity test were used as requirement test and got the data was normal distribution and the two-group homogenous. The hypothesis test used t-test got the result 2,970 made Ho rejected with 5% significance level with effect size was 0,656 or 66% that moderate classified. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is an influence of problem-based learning model assisted by question card toward mathematic critical thinking skill with moderate criteria.

Abstract

The government's new policy of changing the National Examination (UN) to the National Assessment (AN), requires all students in Indonesia to have competence, one of which is numeracy literacy. In describing this numeracy literacy ability, it can be viewed from all aspects, one of which is: Adversity Quotient (AQ). This study aims to describe the differences in the numeracy abilities of junior high school students in terms of the Adversity Quotient between male and female students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, with a research subject of 6 eighth-grade students of one of the State Junior High Schools in Depok. The instruments used were test and non-test instruments, namely written tests, questionnaires, and interviews. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research findings indicate that both male and female climber students demonstrate high numeracy literacy skills by fulfilling all the indicators. Camper students, show moderate numeracy literacy skills, with males fulfilling two indicators and females fulfilling one indicator. As for quitter students, they exhibit low numeracy literacy skills as they do not fulfill any of the indicators. The difference between men and women of each type is only in the completion steps and explaining the reasons for each answer they choose.
