Abstract

The objective of this research was to see the political aspects in the success of educational leader using qualitative case study method. Leaders must realize their roles as a CEO, as an academician, and as a political leader. The research problem was why did the educational leaders had difficulty to take their role as political leaders and how to inspire them doing the role? The research applied a qualitative method by using ?how? and ?why? questions for analysis. There were some complicated issues in educational activities that were difficult to be solved but became easier if educational leaders have skills in persuading, negotiating, and using political process. The significant of the study was to inspire the educational leaders that they did not only take their role as the CEO, or the academician, but also the role as political leaders to be more successful in leading. Vocational and Training institutions in Indonesia face some challenges to be successful in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) era. The leaders of the institutions will be more successful if they understand the political roles, political process, and political techniques.

Abstract

Indonesia has a problem related to entrepreneurship motivation and interest that must be triggered since younger age. The research aimed to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial motivation on the entrepreneurial interest of ARO Gapopin students. The population consisted of students of ARO Gapopin. The research applied a quantitative approach through a questionnaire as an instrument for 195 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16. The findings indicate the importance of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial motivation to increase interest in entrepreneurship for ARO Gapopin students. Interest in entrepreneurship needs to be increased by a good preparation process as a way to form and develop aspiring entrepreneurs. Some ways to form aspiring entrepreneurs include identifying entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors, forming entrepreneurial characteristics, identifying possible factors of success and failure in entrepreneurship, and overcoming myths about entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan model penyesuaian kurikulum yang perlu dilakukan sekolah pada Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas di tahun ajaran baru. Model penyesuaian kurikulum menjadi relevan untuk dibuat ketika sekolah-sekolah harus melaksanakan hybrid learning karena pemerintah mendorong pembukaan sekolah disertai sejumlah pembatasan, termasuk pembatasan hari tatap muka dan jumlah siswa yang harus dilakukan karena situasi Pandemic Covid-19. Menggunakan pendekatan qualitative case study, peneliti menggali model penyesuaian kurikulum yang dilakukan di SD Santo Yakobus Jakarta. Peneliti menggali data melalui wawancara 10 orang guru, observasi kegiatan pelatihan dan demo kelas, serta dokumen terutama tentang pedoman pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam langkah beserta kegiatan yang perlu dilakukan sekolah dalam menyesuaikan kurikulum, yakni analisis profil siswa, penyederhanaan materi, pembuatan modul, pembuatan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, pelatihan aplikasi serta evaluasi dan perbaikan terus menerus.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terhadap upaya untuk membangun karakter lewat Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, khususnya ketika menggunakan metode debat. Persepsi ini sangat penting karena sejumlah literatur mempertanyakan apakah nilai penting dari mata kuliah ini sudah diangkap dengan baik oleh mahasiswa. Juga, seberapa tinggi metode, terutama metode debat menunjang pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif, peneliti mengukur persepsi mahasiswa terhadap urgensi mata kuliah, penggunaan metode, dan efektivitas metode debat. Kemudian, mahasiswa diminta menjelaskan alasan dari pilihan jawaban itu. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memberi nilai penting terhadap mata kuliah kewarganegaraan karena membentuk  nasionalisme dan identitas keindonesiaan, menilai tinggi metode interaktif yang mendorong sikap menggali dan menganalisis, khususnya metode debat dianggap mendorong mahasiswa beropini dengan argumnen yang kuat dan mendalam, dan dilatih untuk mempertahankan argumen tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam pemahaman tentang pemilihan bingkai kacamata yang tepat dan strategi meningkatkan penjualan di optikal (toko optik). Pemilihan kacamata yang tepat berkorelasi erat dengan kepuasan pelanggan karena bingkai yang tepat akan memberikan rasa nyaman pemakaian kacamata. Kepuasan pelanggan merupakan elemen penting dalam strategi meningkatkan penjualan di optikal. Pelayanan jasa, produk bingkai kacamata dan promosi yang tidak sesuai kebutuhan konsumen dapat mempengaruhi kemajuan optikal. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka dan observasi kebiasan dan perilaku belanja konsumen di Optik Mahakam, penelitian ini juga akan membahas elemen-elemen penting dari pelayanan prima di optikal.. Hasil penelitian disajikan secara descriptif.dengan menegaskan mengenai pentingnya variasi produk, pelayanan jasa, promosi, dan kompetensi karyawan. Abstract

Toric soft contact lenses are contact lenses that have silinderstrength so they can be used to correct astigmatism disorders. The difference in meridian strength involves a difference in thickness that affects the stability of the toric soft contact lens that is attached to the eye. One of the problems most frequently complained of by users of toric soft contact lenses is unstable visual acuity where when the soft toric contact lens is used the vision becomes unclear due to the soft toric contact lens that is attached to the eye rotating so that the axis shifts. This is often caused by the inaccuracy of contact lens Fitting that has not been carried out before trial installation, so conducting a trial first in recommending toric soft contact lenses is very important to ensure the stability of soft toric contact lenses when worn by users. This paper aims to determine and discuss that the ideal Fitting assessment greatly affects the stabilization of toric soft contact lenses.

Abstract

Vitamin A deficiency in chindren can cause night blindness, even total blidness. However, the effect of vitamin A deficiency is not limited on th both sight problems. Thus, the author will describe the importance of vitamin A to five senses of children. As quoted in the book Blomhoff R, in his book Review of Retinoid Metabolism and Function 'Vitamin A plays a role in the formation of the sense of sight for humans', therefore the participation of parents and health workers supported by the government can prevent the impact that occurs if vitamin A deficiency occurs in children's vision.

Abstract

This study was aimed at deciding risk factors of myopia suffered by school children and at finding out important prevention in order to eliminate the risk. The research was conducted in Riz-Q optical, located at Kembangan, West Jakarta. Employing qualitative method, the research collected data from children of Riz-Q optical customers suffering from myopia. The samples were school kids (15-19 years old) who were students of grade X-XII Senior High School. Findings of this study comfirm: (1) parents genetic significantly effects children prevalence to myopia; (2) behavior in using gadget, i.e., distance to eye, duration of use, body position when using gadget and low intensity of room as well as the lack of A and B vitamins usually derivating from food and sun light, significantly boost prevalence to myopia.

Abstract

COVID-19 caused major disruptions in daily activities for children throughout the world as schools and extracurricular activities shut down. Some reports indicated an increace in myopia among children due to the increase near work and decrease of outdoor activity during the pandemic. This literature research was aimed at evaluating evidences of near work as contributing factor to myopia, and of outdoor activity as protective factor. Based on the evaluation, the researcher suggested serveral inmportant steps to reduce the negative impact of near work for school-children.

Abstract

This paper aims to find important steps that must be taken by a number of parties to overcome the increase in cases of myopia in children. These steps are very urgent to be carried out in relation to cases of myopia which are growing very rapidly in children in this era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Using qualitative methods, this study explored a number of literatures and interviewed three experts who worked as lecturers at ARO Gapopin. The results of this study indicate that technology is closely related to the success of children in achieving Indonesia's Vision 2045 which is the golden generation related to the demographic bonus. Also, the increase in myopia is related to the myths that live in society that must be overcome. In addition, myopia can be overcome if the relevant parties have the knowledge and methods related to effective treatment.
