Abstract

This research was held on march 2015, in fishing gear material labour of fisheries resource utilization program in fishery and marine science faculty.Aimed to find out sinking speed and absorption of bundung grass linne. meanwhile, the benefit of this research was as information material bundung grass utilization as material fishing. This research used experimental method. In this method, researcher tried to make an attempt and direct analysis of bundung grass linne potential as fishing gear material. The result of bundung grass linne research with length 4 cm, diameter 0,1 cm, spun direction Z, dry weight 0,05 gr showed that water absorption from bundung grass linne was 0,31 gr or 500 % from its own dry weight and has 2,6 cm/sec sinking speed. Based on absorption and sinking speed value from bundung grass, can be concluded that bundung grass has a potential as the natural fibre for fishing gear material. Keywords: Bundung grass, fishing gear material, sinking speed, absorption

Abstract

ABSTRACTvuji.pujiono@yahoo.comThis research was conducted on Agustus 2014, which is held in the Laboratory Fishing Gear Materials, The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of stow nets fishing gear in the water, therefore it can infer the ideal flow velocity for this fishing gear. This study used an experimental method to determine the performance of stow nets fishing gear which is tested in the flume tank by using an impeller rotation speed was 5-50 Hz and the flow velocity was 2.7-246.1 cm/sec. The results were obtained that flow velocity made the effect on the position, the movement and the shift of stow nets fishing gear too. The ideal flow velocity for stow nets fishing gear was 44.3 cm /sec, while the flow velocity was 2.7 cm /sec it made the mouth of filter nets fishing gear started to open in the flume tank on the right time.Keyword : Flow velocity, performance, stow nets, flume tank.

Abstract

This research was conducted in April to June 2016 at BBPI Semarang. The object of research is to determine the ratio between Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) and gasoline by its consumption and economy analysis. The experiment was conducted in laboratory (no burden), in the field of  operation of fishing vessel and fishing trip. The data is analyzed using descriptive and economic analysis. The result of show that LPG as an alternative fuel is more efficient than gasoline for it can reduce 37 % of the use of fuel consumtion It reach around 0.88 kg / trip meanwhile gasoline is higher 0,62 kg/trip than LPG. From financial review, LPG also is the best in fishing effort small scale fishing operation where BCR 2.12, FRR  65.76% while the bank interest rate of bank is 5%, This means that the investment is acceptable to the gasoline. The fishing effort using LPG fuel is acceptable, where the value of FRR> bank rate. The maximum value PPC with an annual average was 1.52. This means that the payback period can be reached 1 year and 6 months 7 days Keywords: Fuel Efficiency, Fishing vessel, Gasoline engine, gasoline, LPG

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the position of fishing gear ambai good. If the goal is reached, this research study is expected to provide benefits for fishermen in the field of the arrest. To determine the shifting and movement ambai good fishing gear, miniature fishing gear ambai in 1:50 scale test into the flume tank with current unit cm / sec. At the current speed of 44.3 cm / sec ambai stable fishing gear, if the current speed exceeds 246.1 cm / sec, ambai fishing gear could be damaged. Keywords: Ambai, current, flum tank

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic of catfish based on it’s size, age and the ability of swimming. The special purpose is to know and examine the swimming durance, swimming speed, maximum swimming speed and prolonged swimming speed of catfish that will be compared with the review of literature through this experiment method. The result of this experiment shows that the swimming durance, swimming speed, the maximum swimming speed and prolonged swimming speed of catfish will be weak in the certain speed when it is given the high stream flow. Keywords : Endurance, swimming speed, maximum swimming speed, and prolonged swimming speed of catfish.

Abstract

The research was conducted in March 2013 with the object of Tilapia (Oreochromisniloticus). The research objects are counted by the number of heartbeats different currenttreatments. The purpose of this study was to determine the heart rate of tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus), a basic knowledge of predicting the rate of metabolism andrespiration and heart rate also determine the activity of tilapia at different swimmingspeeds, in the process of catching up with the use of active fishing gear. The higher theflow rate used in tilapia fishes the heart rate up, and seen in the relative heart rate rangingfrom (1.1 to 3.78), a portrait that fish require a lot of energy so that the fish is alsoincreasing the body's metabolisme. Keywords: Heartbeats, Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Flow, Size Fish

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study will be conducted in June 2014 which was held at the Laboratory of Materials Capture Device Utilization of Water Resources of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The method uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with the untreated control with 10 replications. Strength of PA yarn without treatment has a breaking strength of 12.1 kgf, elongation 15:35 mm, while break strength and elongation threads preserved highest of yarn treatment C with a value of 16.0 kgf breaking strength; elongation of 19.5 mm, followed by treatment B with a value of 14.5 kgf breaking strength; elongation of 17.9 mm; and treatment A with a value of 13.3 kgf breaking strength elongation of 16.6 mm. The result of a completely randomized design (ANOVA) yarn soaked with bark extract greetings with different concentrations ie 0.3 kg / liter of water 0.5 kg / liter of water and 0.7 kg / liter of water was highly significant (p <0 , 00) to the threads of control. Keywords: Concentration, End Strength , elongation

Abstract

ABSTRACTAde Murdani@ymail.comThis research was conducted on July to September 2014, which is held in the Laboratory of fishing Gear Materials, Utilization of Water Resources, The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of drying for the breaking strength of polyamide yarns which have experienced the preservation of jengkol bark extract and salam bark extract. This study used an experimental method by performing the experiments effect of drying outdoors directly in sunlight and in a room with aerated for breaking strength of yarns PA(polyamide) whinch heve experienced the preservation. The breaking strength of yarns that used jengkol and salam bark extract which were dried in the room are higher than the yarns in the outdoors with directly sunlight. The soaking of yarns by using jengkol bark extract resulted the better breaking strength of yarns than the yarns which were soaked by salam bark extract.Keyword : breaking strength, yarns polyamide, extracts, drying

Abstract

The research was conducted in August 2014, which is housed in theCapture Device Materials Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and ScienceKelautan.Tujuan of this study was to determine the swimming speed of fish cork.Cork fish swimming speed of normal (sustained swimming speed) is <2.9 cm / sec(less than 44.3 cm / sec), Prolonged cork fish swimming speed is 2.9 to 18.2 cm /sec (44.3 -246.1 cm / sec). Fish swimming speed burst capability cork is 18.2 cm /second (246.1 cm / sec) free swimming speed (free swimming) has positivecorrelation ie the frequency flick of the tail for second (cm / sec) it is shown at adistance of 100 cm, fish do a flick of the tail as much as 4.5 times that swim at aspeed of 100.0 (cm / sec) and at a distance of only 50cm fish tail wagging as muchas 1.5 times that swim at a speed of 12.5 (cm / sec). Keywords: endurance, swimming speed, maximum swimming speed, swimmingspeed and prolonged fish swimming freely.
