Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of farmers on the role of agricultural extension. Extension roles/duties include education, dissemination of information/innovation, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation, where the sixth in this study into research variables. Likert scale is used to measure the perception of rubber farmers to the overall role of agricultural extension workers. From the results of the research note that the perception of farmers for the role of extension workers in the value is in the category ?enough to play'' with the overall average of 3.11. The perception of farmers on the role of agricultural extension in Lada Mandala Jaya Village, Pangkalan Lada Sub-district can be categorized as (a). ?role? (mean = 3,69) for sub-variable of Education, (b). ?role? (mean = 3,41) for the sub-variable Dissemination, (c). ?lacks role'' (average = 2.24) as the Facilitator, (d). ?enough role? (average = 3.15) as consultant, (e). ?enough role? (average = 2.60) as Supervisor, and (f). ?enough role? (average = 2.61) in the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation. It is advisable to extension workers to optimize the role of extension workers, especially in facilitating and supervising the farmers in the development of rubber plantation business.

Abstract

This study is conducted to determine the trend and estimation of rice production and rice consumption in Central Borneo Province. The study is held in Central Borneo Province by using secondary data from October 2017 to March 2018, using Least Square?s method. The results shows that the trend of rice production in Central Borneo Province in 2001-2015 is increasing. Same as paddy production which is increasing almost every year, rice production increasing almost every year. Estimation rice production in Central Borneo Province in 2016-2020 is also known that five years ahead, rice production will be increasing from year to year. Trend of rice consumption in Central Borneo Province in 2001-2015 is increasing every year, and Estimation of rice consumption in Central Borneo Province in 2016-2020 is known that five years ahead will be increasing from year to year although it can still be balanced with the value of production which is greater than consumption. Even the province of Central Borneo is also potential to surplus of rice till the year estimated 2020, that is 329.255,83 tons, so till 2020 rice production Central Borneo Province still can be sufficient for consumption need of the population.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the attitudes of farmers to the program of agricultural technology park (TTP) and to know the problems experience by farmers in Banturung Village, Bukit Batu Subdistrict. The method used in data collection in this study is by using the interview method with the help of questionnaires. This research was conducted in Banturung Village, Bukit Batu subdistrict. The results of this study indicate the attitude of farmers towards the TTP program is included in doubt category. This attitude is influenced by three components of attitude which are divided into nine variable indicators that is:The attitude of farmers towards technology which is classified as "agreed" includes: cognitive attitudes and affective attitudes, and those which classified as "doubtful" is conative attitudes. Then the attitude of farmers to training, which is classified as "agree" is; cognitive attitude, affective attitude and conative attitude. While the attitude of farmers to partnerships classified as "doubtful" is; cognitive attitude, affective attitude and conative attitude.The problem faced by farmers in the Banturung Garing Hantampung Agricultural Technology (TTP) program in Banturung Village, Bukit Batu Subdistrict is the lack of variation in technology implemented or produced through programs, agricultural machinery that is difficult to borrow and rental prices too high, training rarely held and less information from the group leader in informing the training schedule, the marketing of postharvest processed products is constrained due to the lack of partnership in the field of agribusiness and finance.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how big the level of farmers' perceptions of the onion agribusiness development policy. The author uses a Likert scale for the basis of calculations. This research was conducted in Banturung Village, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City. The results of the study consisted of: in terms of program assistance in the "strongly agree" category where the farmers' desire for assistance is very large so that farmers better understand the program this assistance is running. In terms of preparation of seeds and input in the category of ?strongly agree" where the great expectations of farmers for the preparation of seeds and production inputs have great benefits and contributions. In terms of technical assistance for cultivation and post harvest through extension workers in the "strongly agree" category where the role of extension agents is very large for government policy regarding the development of this onion plant agribusiness. In terms of preparation of land processing tools, post harvest tools, and results processing tools. In the category "strongly agree" where the use of tools in the agricultural production process has a large contribution to achieving its effectiveness optimally. In terms of seed propagation, seed purification and seed warehouse in the "strongly agree" category where to reduce the initial production capital, the farmer can increase his own seeds. The hope is that every affected farmer gets this program to get his own seed warehouse. In terms of the implementation of disease control in the category "strongly agree" where the control of pest disease is expected to have a large contribution to the cultivation activities carried out.
