Abstract

Soursop (Annona muricata L.) were from North America and spread to the tropics and is one of the fruits with varying properties, ranging from fulfillment source of vitamins and minerals to play a role in the health field. Soursop production in Indonesia is low because not many farmers interested in cultivating remedy because the limitaion in the nursery. One of the obstacles in the nursery soursop is not immediately germinate seeds (dormant), because the seed soursop has a thick skin and hard that is impermeable to water and gases that in hibit germination. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of scarification and KNO3 to induce germination of seeds of soursop. This research was conducted in March-May 2015, at the Laboratory of BKU Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako. This research method using a completely randomized design (CRD) using two-factor treatment, while treatment factors as follows: The first factor is scarification: scarification by removing the skin at the tip of the seed, scarification with sanding one side of the seed, scarification with sanding two sides seed, second factor is the immersion of KNO 3: concentrations of 0.2% KNO 3, KNO 3 concentration of 0.4%, 0.6% KNO3 concentration, concentration of 0.8% KNO 3, obtained: 12 treatment combinations, each combination is repeated three times so there are 36 experimental units. The results showed that interaction scarification and KNO3 treatment significantly affect the germinationand time to germinate. Scarification treatment with sanding one side of the seed and the concentration of 0.4% KNO3 promote better germination based on the germination rate (91.11%)and time to germinate (5.69 days). Keywords: Dormancy, Potassium nitrate, Scarification, Soursop seed.

Abstract

The research implemented in Mpanau Village, Sigi Biromaru, Sigi Regency. The study began from March to May 2016. The purpose of this research is to know the effect dosage of bran and corn flour on sawdust media to growth and yield of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). The benefits of this research isa source of basic scientific provides information the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms to the dosage of bran and corn flour as source of nutritious white oyster mushroom plant, In addition it is expected to be a reference for future researchers about mushrooms white oyster. The method of this study was arranged in the design of this the study using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 7 treatments as follows: D0 =  media sawdust (100%), as control, D1 = sawdust (80%), and bran (20%), D2 = mixture of sawdust media (75%), and bran (25%), D3 = mixed sawdust (70%), and bran (30%), D4 = mixture of sawdust (80%), and corn powder (20%), D5 = mixture of sawdust media (75%) and corn powder (25%), D6 = mixed sawdust (70%), and corn power (30%). The results of this study showed that the addition of dosage of bran and corn powder to each treatment of sawdust media had a very significant effect on all parameters of observation that is on the first observation parameter growing mycelium, the number of white oyster mushroom body, white fruits oyster mushroom cap dry weight of white oyster mushrooms. Treatment with 30% dosage of bran dose gave the best result to all observation parameters except on observation parameter of white oyster mushroom diameter. On the average parameter of white oyster mushroom fruits diameter the best treatment was treatment (D1) with dosage 20% of bran. Treatment by using a dosage of corn powder gives a low yield on all observation parameter. Keywords: Oyster mushrooms, Sawdust

Abstract

The decreasing of Bitter Melon production in Tojo Una-Una regency is not only caused by the lack of fertilizer distribution but also lack of cultivation because the level of pest attack is very high. Soil fertility decrease caused by several factors, they are lack of farmer knowledge about the rest of the crop cultivated such as rice straw, bitter melon and other plant species. Therefore, the research was conducted using growth regulator of Gibberellins Synthesis Gibro 10SP with active ingredient of Gibberelic Acid of 10% to set the growth and yield of Bitter Melon . The objective of this research is to find out the effect of Gibberellins Synthesis Gibro 10SP with active ingredient of gibberelic acid of 10% in each sachet to growth and production of Bitter melon, to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizer in Bantuga village of Ampana Tete District of Tojo Una-Una regency and conducted from May to July 2016. The research design used a block randomized design with one factor is the ratio of Gibberellins Synthesis concentration. G0: Control, G1: 30 ppm GA3 Synthesis/liter water, G2: 40 ppm GA3 Synthesis/liter water, G3: 50 ppm GA3 Synthesis/liter water, G4: 60 ppm GA3 Synthesis/liter water, and G5: 60 ppm GA3 Synthesis/liter water. The concentration with 6 treatments was repeated 3 times, so the total number of research units were 18 units. The variables observed were number of leaves, stem diameter, age during flowering,       length of fruit, age at harvest and weight of fruit. Total for 3 times harvest of Bitter Melon with 175 land area of research is 38  or 38,000.00 . If the land area is 1  then it is obtained the result of 2,171
