Abstract

Cassava is the main food source for the community after corn and rice. Map This cassava plays an important role in the production of cassava to meet household food needs. This study aims to determine cassava production, determine cassava income, determine household income and to determine the role of cassava income on household income in Oeletsala Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency. The research location was determined deliberately. The population in this study are farmers who do cassava farming spread across five hamlets in Oeletsala Village. There were 55 sample farmers who were taken randomly. The collected data is analyzed simply by using an analysis of costs, income and the role of cassava in household income with a classification of contribution measurements. 1. 0.00% -10% Very Poor, 2. 10.10% -20% Poor, 3. 20.10% -30% Moderate 4. 30.10% -40% Fairly Good, 5. 40.10 %-50% Good, 6. >50% Very Good. The research results show that 1). The amount of cassava production in the research area of ​​Oeletsala Village is the amount. 87,140.00 kg/land area (are) 2). The amount of cassava income in the research area of ​​Oeletsala Village with the number. Rp. 5,641,519.17 -/planting season with a total preset of 34.15% per planting season. 3). The total household income from all intercropped cassava farming and non-farming in the research area of ​​Oeletsala Village with a total of 46 respondents was Rp. 16,518,724.54 per growing season. 4). The role of cassava farming is obtained from the farmer's income in cassava farming divided by the total family income multiplied by 100%, so that the results of calculating the role of cassava on household income is 30.67%. Therefore, according to standard calculations, the role of cassava income is quite good according to the classification calculation of the contribution of 30.10% -40% which is quite good in Oeletsala Village, Kupang Regency.

Abstract

The constraint faced by farmers in Wolowae Sub-district is the lack of water availability during the dry season. One of the efforts to increase agricultural productivity in drylands is to develop water-saving irrigation technology (drip irrigation), on land with limited water sources. Adopting an agricultural technology will certainly require additional costs in the production process. This study aims to determine: (1) the productivity of chili farming before and after using drip irrigation technology (2) the difference in chili farming income before and after using drip irrigation technology and (3) the feasibility of chili farming that applies drip irrigation technology. This research was conducted in Anakoli Village and Totomala Village, Wolowae District, Nagekeo Regency in May and June 2023. The research location was determined by purposive sampling. The determination of the sample in this study was carried out using the simple random sampling method with a sample size of 78 people determined using the Isaac and Michael formula. The data collection method in this study is a survey method by collecting primary data and secondary data. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and a simple statistical test was carried out, namely the Paired sample T-test (t test). The results showed that (1) the productivity of chili farms after using drip irrigation technology is higher than before using drip irrigation technology (4 tons / ha) (2) there is a significant difference in income on chili farms before and after using drip irrigation technology (0.006 <0.05) and (3) R / C ratio shows that the value of R / C> 1 so that chili farms using drip irrigation technology are feasible to cultivate R / C (5.03).

Abstract

Pengolahan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) dari daging buah kelapa menggunakan teknologi fermentasi tanpa bahan tambahan dan pemanasan, masih hal yang baru bagi masyarakat mitra. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini mengeksplorasi pengolahan VCO dari daging kelapa dengan menggunakan teknologi fermentasi tanpa bahan tambahan atau pemanasan. Pendekatan pelatihan dilakukan secara partisipatif terhadap masyarakat mitra untuk menghasikan VCO dan memanfaatkan limbah dari pembuatan VCO. Produk VCO dikenal dengan kandungan asam lemaknya terutama asam laurat yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Karena kandungan yang dimiliki oleh VCO inilah membuat VCO memiliki potensi nilai jual yang tinggi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan meningkatkan keterampilan terkait produksi VCO dan pemanfaatan limbah di antara anggota Kelompok Kasih. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 12 peserta dilakukan secara interaktif. Para peserta secara aktif berpartisipasi dalam praktik langsung di bawah bimbingan fasilitator. Hasil kegiatan sangat positif dimana semua peserta terlibat aktif dengan kehadiran dalam kegiatan 100%. Hal ini menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi peserta dalam proses produksi VCO dan pemanfaatan limbah menjadi minyak goreng, serta limbah dari minyak goreng menjadi olahan penganan; Ikan Pepes Londo. Pelatihan menghasilkan 5,3 liter VCO dari 72 butir kelapa dan 2,3 liter minyak goreng. Hal baik diperoleh dari pelatihan ini adalah para peserta mendapatkan pengetahuan yang berharga tentang potensi VCO untuk kesehatan, potensi peningkatan pendapatan rumah tangga serta cara pengolahan limbahnya.
