Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effectiveness of using English pop songs toward students’ listening comprehension at the tenth grade of SMAN 5 Kota Serang. The population of this research was all the students of the tenth grade of SMAN 5 Kota Serang, and the sample were X Science 4 as experimental class and X Science 3 as control class. The researcher used quantitative method by implementing true experimental design.The instrument of research was the tests: pre and post test. The result of students’ average in pre-test were 45.17 for experimental and 46 for control class. The result of students’ average in post-test were 78 for experimental and 71.67 for control class. It can be concluded that using English pop songs was effective toward students’ listening  and the teachers can use English pop songs a a media to overcome students’ difficulty in listening and improve their listening comprehension, too.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi para pelaku UMKM garam di Kabupaten Pati untuk mengetahui mengenai pengurusan sertifikasi halal bagi produk garam. Program ini meliputi kegiatan survey pendataan para pelaku UMKM garam di Kabupaten Pati, pengadaaan webinar “Sosialisasi Sertifikasi Halal”, dan pembantuan pengurusan dokumen sertifikasi halal. Metode analisis data hasil penelitian adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa beberapa pelaku usaha UMKM di Kabupaten Pati, khususnya pelaku usaha yang mengikuti webinar, ingin/tertarik untuk memulai proses sertifikasi halal bagi produk garamnya.Kata kunci: garam, UMKM, webinar, sertifikasi halal  AbstrakPATI REGENCY SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT VIA HALAL CERTIFICATE SOCIALIZATION. This study aims to improve the quality of salt Small and Medium Enterprises in Pati Regency through socializing Halal certification. The data was obtained via survey activities on salt industries in Pati Regency, holding a webinar entitled "Socialization of Halal Certification", and assistance in processing halal certification documents. The data analysis method used was the descriptive method. The results showed a significant interest in the idea of halal certification, evidenced by the eagerness in starting the halal certification process for the salt products.Keywords: salt, UMKM, webinars, halal certification
