Abstract

Abstract: The Role of Bank-Firm Relationship to Improve the Performance of Non Financial Companies. This study seeks to examine the effect of bank-firm relationships on the performance of non-financial companies in Indonesia. This study uses the OLS regression method with panel data consisting of 80 non-financial companies in 2011-2016 and has bank ownership and bank loans as samples. The results of the study indicate that the presence of banks can spur company performance, especially in the aspect of providing agency problems. However, the company should review further if it will use a bank loan because it raises a series of costs as an effect of the loan.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of capital investment on the level of internationalization and to see the effect of a larger capital investment and a larger company size on the relationship between the two of them in companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore. This study uses the Generalized Least Square (GLS) balanced data panel method with annual data for the 2009-2018 period. The results of this study indicate that capital investment has a negative and significant influence on the level of internationalization. However, this study found that large capital investment moderates the effect of capital investment on the level of internationalization, so that the relationship between the two is nonlinear or U-shaped. This study also found that company size did not moderate the relationship between capital investment and the level of internationalization, so that the negative effect of capital investment on the level of internationalization did not differ in large companies.

Abstract

Research Aims: The present research investigates the relationships among behavioural belief, attitude toward entrepreneurship, religiosity, and entrepreneurial intention in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: We use a structural equation model supported by LISREL 8.80 to analyse a sample of 146 owners of micro and small enterprises. Research Findings: We found new results to add to the entrepreneurship literature regarding the relationship between religiosity and entrepreneurship. Although religiosity has been mostly discussed in previous research as a moderator, this study found that religiosity also has a strong direct relationship to entrepreneurial intention. Further, most of the independent variables also show a significant influence on entrepreneurial intention. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: Based on our result, this paper found that religiosity has a strong direct relationship to entrepreneurial intention. Our paper is also the first to aggregate behavioral beliefs through multiple religious points of view regarding entrepreneurial intention. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian context: The result can be applied to enhance entrepreneurship in South East Asian countries Research limitation & implications: The result has implications for entrepreneurship education, business practitioners, and policy makers to strengthen entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, since affective attitude and instrumental attitude involve a reciprocal process over a long period, this study recommends that future research should apply longitudinal study

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of online information in the decision-making process of investors in the form of donation-based crowdfunding. We use Kitabisa.com as a donation-based crowdfunding platform and collect 74 data on donation projects. This study uses the combination of a regression model with cross section data and an Elaboration likelihood model. The results of this study found that several very important online information variables, such as updates and shares on Facebook, proved significant to influence investors' decisions on crowdfunding platforms in Indonesia. The results of this study prove that the central routes obtained from project updates made by the project owner and the peripheral route, which are obtained from the number of shares on Facebook social media, have equally significant factors in influencing the success of raising funds through the crowdfunding system in Indonesia. Therefore, the two factors, both in terms of the central route (from the updates factor) and the peripheral route (from Shares on Facebook) have an influence on the success of crowdfunding funding on the Kitabisa.com platform.
